We stayed at the Zafiro from 3-10th May this year. Check in was amazingly efficient and the hotel foyer exudes 5 *. We had a Junior suite with one of the private plunge pools leading into a narrow shared pool area. The first few days were peaceful however then some families were allocated to our block (block 1) which made the experience less peaceful. We also had people from block 2 throwing a very hard ball over constantly from their narrow pool area. The ball landed on our private area several times which was annoying. The guys then decided to use our narrow pool to extend their ball throwing reach but were politely asked not to do that as we couldn't swim there while they were doing this. So for us as a couple, the junior suite was not as peaceful as we would like, but if you are a family these suites are a great way to keep an eye on your family while they are in the pool with a depth of 1.2M. and gates to stop the little ones going in without you. Plenty of sunbathing space outside the suite, however on block 1 after 3 pm you need to move across to the other side of the pool if you want the sun. If you are going with JET2, you need to be prepared to wait in a very long line (over 300 people) to be allocated to your coach for onward travel to the hotel when you arrive. We decided not to wait for this and paid for our own onward travel via taxi. Our return was much more simple and our coach collected us on time and only had a couple of stops to collect guests before going to the airport. We stayed on a B & B basis as we know the area very well and wanted to visit some of our favourite restaurants. The buffet style on offer was fantastic with everything from juices, freshly made omelettes, pancakes to a full English offering. Coffee from the machine was good, but the coffee in jugs which you can order to your table not so good and was probably made very early so luke warm. Just to warn those of you who who prefer some privacy in the bathroom......there really isnt any. The bathroom is an open area, with glass doors to the toilet and the shower cubicles but there is no door.....it is open and if you get up in the night and switch the light on, it illuminates the whole bedroom. There is also a bath but again this is in the open area with a large glass window straight into the sleeping area. Personally we would have preferred some doors into the bathroom area to give some privacy. We will be trying the new Fergus Adults only next time.
