Very good and friendly service from the hotel staff. Good hot spring bath with both internal bath and external open air bath. Excellent food for dinner and breakfast with many dishes. Wonderful view of the forest, mountains and river from my room.

The shuttle service to and from Tobu Nikko Station was very convenient. Upon arrival, check-in was handled directly at a small table, with only the payment requiring a quick visit to the front desk. Guests arriving around 3 PM can enjoy afternoon tea service. The hot spring bath was spacious and excellent. Breakfast and dinner were served in private dining rooms with lovely views, which was a delightful experience. The hotel's location is superb: the Two Shrines and One Temple (UNESCO World Heritage sites) are just a short walk from the front, and Kanmangafuchi Abyss is easily accessible from the back. There's also a local bus stop right outside, though the bus service is quite infrequent, so catching one is a matter of luck.

The best hotel ever! The service was amazing, the room, the onsen… everything was just perfect! You get a little welcome mochi and tea, the luggage was put in our room after luggage storage, yukata given… everything was top notch ✨

This was the most satisfying hotel experience of our trip to Japan. From the moment we were welcomed at the entrance to our final farewell wave as the shuttle bus departed, every detail was impeccable. The rooms, dining, and hot springs were all absolutely faultless.

I booked this hotel through Trip.com and the pictures of the room I chose included a spa. I got to the hotel and although the room was big, japanese style, it didn't include the spa. The hotel was quite expensive and I was really hoping to relax in the spa. I complained in the reception, but the staff barely spoke English. I got really disappointed as one of the staff members started laughing at my complaint. They didn't offer to change the room. Other than that, the food is good, if you like japanese cuisine. There are no western food options at all.

Although located at the Nikko town centre, the area is a bit quiet with not many shops around. It is closed to the Kanman-ga-fuchi Abyss. Hotel room is big, and the river view is excellent. The onsen is good. Besides traditional inside & outside onsen, there is also jaccuzi style pool. The dinner and breakfast are also taste good.

The hot spring was just okay, pretty standard. Cleanliness was a major concern for me; the bed sheets felt quite grimy, possibly due to the high humidity. On the bright side, the location was excellent: attractions were within walking distance, and a bus stop right outside made sightseeing incredibly convenient. I might be overthinking it, but both the room I was assigned and the dining spot we were given weren't particularly great. As for the included breakfast and dinner, they offered poor value for money and simply couldn't compare to meals at other hot spring hotels I've stayed at – I didn't even feel like taking any photos!
