Hotel Harumoto

There is a paper called ”○○” in front of the room, and the meal is also a room meal, and the person who is related to the Japanese room comes to lay the futon, and it is a hotel that makes the present feeling the rare Showa period It is more ”inn” than that. Still, there was a ”non-smoking room”, and it was a reservation on the net, so there was a mistake and it was guided to the non-smoking room, but I was able to prepare an ashtray at the front desk. Thank you, thank you. The facilities are honest and Immaic. There is no Wi-Fi guide and there is no net corner. The TV in the room is 19 type liquid crystal? The small towel was also only 1 pieces for bathing. There seemed to be no ice making machine in the building. But there was an air cleaner with a high performance humidification function in the room, there was a towel hanger, the refrigerator had a freezing space, and there was a morning call function, so I was able to spend comfortably. There is only an inn that boasts cooking, and the meal is good. This is also an old-fashioned Japanese food. Dinner comes out with a considerable amount of sashimi, tempura and pot food. I eat it for my age, but I still can't eat shime noodles when I drink beer (this is now a rare bottle of beer). Breakfast was served with soy milk pot with ponvinegar. During the meal, the waiter will give you a refill of rice. I talked about various things and had a warm time. I refused and took a cook. The bath seemed to be circulating the hot water * fungus for several days, not ”sprinkle” when looking at the ”hot spring analysis table”. I think the evaluation is divided by people, but it was a good inn for me because the meal was delicious and the warm inn.
Nikko Hoshino Yado

They picked us up from train station. Held our bags while we enjoyed the nikko temples and the abyss. Came back and soaked in the onsen until dinner (wearing our yukata and slippers) which was delicious and a lot of fun (we made our own yuba and grilled our wagyu beef). This was our first night sleeping on futons on tatami mats and next time I’d double up the mat. We had no shower in our room but others had one — we showered in the onsen area. In the morning, back downstairs in our yukata for a beautiful extensive Japanese breakfast. I’d have loved to learn what we were eating! Patient and quiet service. Then they brought us to the train station to continue on. Highly recommend.
Nikko Park Lodge Mountain Side

Slightly dated and quirky. Stayed in family room which had very steep stairs to the bed section. A bit overpriced for what it is, but this is Nikko. Comfortable enough. Breakfast quite Ok. Nice to be out of town which feels tired and mostly closes by 4.30pm each day. A lack of restaurants/cafes after that time. Everywhere looks rundown and disinterested. The lake and waterfalls were good but boat ride on lake was closed due to wind and (very small) waves which was disappointing.
Annex Turtle Hotori-An

Far removed from all the hustle and bustle from the city yet its only 2 hours away. Nikko, just 16.7 miles north of Ustunomiya the capital city of Tochigi Prefecture, is a home to many world heritage site such as legendary Toshogu Shrine. This property is one of a kind and unique. Located 15 minutes drive from Tobu Nikko Station and next to Daiwa River this property has unique blend of tranquility and authentic ryokan experience. The room size is pretty average with the entrance area with a bathroom adjacent to it leading to the living room which can be separated from the entrance area by a fusuma sliding door. The view of Daiwa River and sound of water flowing down the river is like nothing you have experienced before. They also have a first come based private onsen. The view you get from this semi opened air bath combined with relaxing onsen washes away your daily stresses down the drain. Due to the serenity and tranquility, location is not the most ideal. Closest convenience store along with other food option (FYI: most restaurants and diners closes before 6PM) is close to 10 minutes walk via Kokudo 120 leading up to Honcho. However, whether it’s weekend getaways for all Tokyo residents or you’re here for vacation Annex Turtle offers you the upmost relaxation for a reasonable cost.
Okunoin Hotel Tokugawa

The staff service is very warm. When you change the hotel, you can send your luggage. The hotel is very quiet in the mountains. It is suitable for staying here for a few days to feel the atmosphere of Japan quietly. There is an open-air hot spring in the house. Don't be too comfortable. Going for a walk below, the winter wind is a bit blown, and the hotel is especially rich in breakfast and dinner, very delicious.
Livemax Resort Kinugawa

I think the food was buffet style and the quality was good. The number of items was compact compared to hotels in this form. However, each is delicious, and the staff will replenish it as soon as it runs out of the tray, so I am satisfied with the total. After that, the open-air bath in the room was good. There was a wheelchair person with the companion, but there was no particular order at check-in, but I was able to spend a very comfortable time by adding a chair with a high seat to the room. Thank you.
