I cannot recommend this hotel especially at the prices they charged. Arrived at 5.30pm and room wasn't ready. They then said it was and gave us a smaller room than we had booked and paid for. When we said so they told us ”Americans have a different idea of what king-sized means”. An hour later they called and agreed we had indeed booked a bigger room and offered to move us to one with a king bed. The man from reception then took us to said room without offering to help us with our luggage. Just stood and watched us drag our bags across the carpeted corridors ...All I can say is it was 3 star service and quality at VERY high prices. The next morning we moved to an absolutely world class hotel which was ten times nicer and less expensive. Over-priced, outdated and obnoxious staff.

The rooftop with view and swimming pool is absolutely sublime, it is very pleasant, the staff is very careful and small care, only negative point, the spa is slightly disappointing, The facilities are old, not very well decorated and lighted, it doesn't value the spa, it lacks a jacuzzi but the spa staff is super top, and they make the best massage. The best 5 stars in Nice are in a price-quality-level! And the fact that not being at the sea front, but we are still not far from 10 minutes walk and the ballade is very nice, is really offset by the rooftop that is the best point of the hotel.

The hotel room is very small, the windows are small, and there is no balcony. The room is newly decorated and tasteless, the bedding is very good, the bed is comfortable to sleep on, the bath water is small, the bathroom is small, and the washstand is cramped. There is no pool and the gym is small. The breakfast is semi-buffet, the taste is not bad, and the choice is small. The service staff are enthusiastic.

I should have checked in advance, but I was surprised that there was no hair dryer. There is a hot water kettle, but the cup is a paper cup and there is no tea or coffee in the room. It is said that there is breakfast service if you pay. It is about 20 minutes walk from the center of sightseeing. I think it was good because the price was cheap except that there was no dryer. I think it's hard for a suitcase because there's no elevator.

This apartment hotel in Nice is better to drive by car. On the roadside, the door is small. The parking gate is an iron gate. After the check-in, a password will be given. The back door will open automatically. The day is charged, the parking space is small, and the car is compared. It's hard to stop. The advantage of staying in the apartment is that it is convenient and casual. The room is better. If you open the sofa bed in the living room, there are two bedrooms. The twin beds in the small bedroom are very small. The small kitchen at the door can make some simple meals, but there is no range hood, and the other pots and pans are full. The porch door and window can be opened, the cooling is very comfortable, the tile floor, quiet, sanitary, the bathroom and shower room are relatively small, and the kitchen is relatively small. It is convenient to the public beach, take 10 minutes to go to the famous attractions nearby or drive. There are small Carrefour supermarkets in the neighborhood two blocks, you can buy food and cook, overall good.

Super well located hotel, for whom comes from the airport metro is 2min from a stop, is also 2min from the margin. Very comfortable bed and coats 🥰 Excellent breakfast 👌🏻 breakfast coffee machines are available all day for us to serve 😊 Cleaning could be better, it is the only less positive point. If you return to Nice will be a choice to consider again 😊

This apart-hotel as suggested by other reviewers photographs well on their site but is in fact quite tired and dated. It is well located close to the tram stop and a very short walk to the promenade. The duvets were very dirty and there was a smell from the shower room. The room seemed superficially clean but on inspection it could have been cleaner. If staying here I would suggest getting earplugs as the main road with tram is right outside the street-side windows. Others have commented on issues with the staff, we found them ok to deal with. Prior to our visit I did have to email them three times to receive an answer to a question. I would suggest staying here if it is a bargain and you don't mind the above. There is another hotel nearby that is far superior (we moved there) and it was the same price.

We arrived via taxi after a flight down from Paris. The hotel was fully booked between Cannes film festival and People going to see the Monica Grand Prix. Our room was not ready, but we were told we could go to the rooftop for lunch. We did that and proceeded to be ignored by the rooftop staff. We finally corralled someone who said they stopped serving food at 2:30, so we left the hotel to find something else. Later when our room was ready we told the front desk about it and it was news to them. Then when we decided to go back for dinner on the roof, we were told that dinner did not start until 7:00, so they called up and made us reservations. When we arrived at 7:00 the place was packed and the only tables had no view. We asked and were told that people come for drinks starting at 6:00 and just keep their tables when dinner starts. Not ideal. These are very tiny, tight rooms. Typical Europe size. They were quiet rooms. Our air conditioning didn’t work in the room. They offered a fan which helped, but as it got hotter we asked a second time to change rooms and they complied. They did reduce our room rate and comped a meal for us. The staff was very nice and apologetic for the AC issues.

I stayed here for two nights and would have no hesitation in recommending this gem of a hotel! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I arrived a few hours early and as my room was ready, I was able to check in straightaway. The complimentary bottles of cold water were much appreciated in the July/August heat! There is also a lift if you don’t fancy taking the stairs. The room was small but this was not an issue for me. The bed was so comfortable and there were tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer in the room. The room was cleaned and towels were replaced each day. The location, Rue Andrioli, is very quiet and felt safe and is only a short walk from the Promenade des Anglais. It is also only a 5 - 10 minutes walk from the Alsace-Lorraine tram station which is only one stop from the Jean Medecin tram stop (the main shopping street in Nice). I would also recommend the breakfast and there was plenty of choice. I particularly enjoyed the absolutely delicious scrambled egg! If you prefer to eat elsewhere, there are plenty of shops and cafes in the vicinity. When I was checking out, I was able to leave my luggage knowing it would be safe. I also had a lovely chat with the manager Patrick. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Nice. Merci beaucoup Hotel L’Alcove!

The location is very good. It is only 5 minutes away from the Caspian Sea. You can watch the sunrise and sunset. There are also some restaurants and cafes around. The single room is much larger than the room. The toilet is much brighter and more refined. It meets the needs of single living. The staff is available 24 hours a day. , But the wifi is not very good. Generally recommended

Excellent hotel, all for these reasons: - location: 2 blocks from the promenade, 10-15 from the hustle and bustle, which is ideal. - Fabio - Fabio owns the hotel and is so attentive, warm and friendly. Great advocate for his city and his recommendations are excellent! We were delayed on arrival to Nice and we were going to miss our reservation that we made, I contacted Fabio who rearranged our reservation for us and then booked us in somewhere new and close to the Hotel that evening, the restaurant he chose for us was excellent and a must do! Thanks for this Fabio! - the service of all the staff - everyone is just so helpful, kind and friendly - croissants on the door handle every morning, what’s not to love about this?! - hotel room is lovely and clean and perfect what we wanted. - it’s safe! Plus, the front door is always locked which you get the code for, so it feels super safe at all times. You must be mad if you don’t book this hotel!

We had such a wonderful stay at Hôtel Victor Hugo! They were so welcoming and helpful during our time in Nice. The room was lovely and we were very comfortable. The hotel is located one block away from the beach and right in front of a Tramway station, which is very good, since you probably will have to take the tramway (or walk around 20-30 min) to get into the restaurants and the old town. This tramway line is the one that gets into the airport and on the turistical points. Trip offered a category of room that, according to the hotel staff, does not exist on the hotel (triple bed). I was traveling with a friend and we didn't want to share the same bed. First, staff didn't want to change our room saying they were complete. After insisting, they found another room with 2 beds, but the AC didn't work fine on this new room. After the check-in, the staff member forgot to give my passport back. When I asked for it, he said that ”he wanted to keep seeing my picture because I was very pretty” 🙄. Unecessary, embarassing and not funny at all. Rooms are comfortable enough and correct for a budget hotel.
