Best Western Premier Hotel Roosevelt

The hotel is excellent, with a superb location. The room facilities are complete and comfortable, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful. They proactively offered beach towels and a large parasol for swimming. We even left our own swimming ring for the hotel when we checked out.

I booked a junior suite, but the hotel gave me a superior triple room. The hotel claimed that both are called 'junior suite' in their system and that they had no other rooms available. However, on Trip.com, these are completely different room types with different pricing, and even the bed sizes aren't the same. Although Trip.com customer service refunded me the price difference after I contacted them, I wouldn't have booked this hotel if I knew I wasn't getting the room type I wanted. So, I'm very disappointed. This is the first time in all these years that I've received something so different from what I booked!

The rooms were quite spacious. We booked two rooms, and while the air conditioning in my daughter's room worked fine, ours had an issue with insufficient cooling. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but the quality of the prosciutto and salami was very good. Staying for five days and having the same breakfast every morning was a bit much. Also, the old-fashioned elevator was tiny, so we had to take our luggage up in several trips. It's quite an old hotel.

The hotel's location is great. It's a 10-minute walk north to the train station and a 10-minute walk south to the beach. The room was really spacious, the staff were friendly, and there was a good selection for breakfast.

The hotel's location is incredibly safe and convenient. You can walk to the beach, Place Masséna, Cours Saleya Market, Old Nice, and Galleries Lafayette, all within ten to fifteen minutes. The streets around the hotel also have plenty of clothing stores to browse. The front desk might be small, but the service is warm and welcoming. The rooms are quite spacious, very clean, and quiet. Breakfast offers a good variety too. They even gave us a lavender sachet when we checked out! My only minor complaint is the rather old elevator; it's tiny, fitting only two or three people, and you have to manually open the door once it reaches your floor. All in all, this hotel comes highly recommended for anyone visiting Nice.

Overall, a great hotel! The location is excellent – it's a 10-minute walk to the station or a 5-minute taxi ride, and there's a shopping street right downstairs. You can also walk to the beach in 10 minutes. The first night, we made a last-minute booking for a superior king room and a standard large room (212 and 411). There was a 100 RMB price difference, but I'm not sure why the 'better' room actually had a smaller bed. It was unclear which one was more expensive. The following three nights, we had pre-booked a superior triple room. We wanted to extend our stay in the existing rooms but were told it would cost an extra 600+ Euros, which seemed baffling since the two rooms combined cost 2600 RMB, less than one night in the 3000+ RMB superior triple. The front desk even suggested we switch to room 208, saying it was the best – a quad room – but that would have cost an additional 90+ Euros for three nights. We looked at it and thought it was just okay, so we didn't switch. When we checked in that afternoon, we were given room 106, which turned out to be quite good! It had a partition between the king bed and the sofa bed, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. Glad we didn't switch! I won't post many photos as they look just like the official ones.

Had a fantastic stay! The location is superb, and the room was spacious. There was even a staff member who spoke Chinese, which was a nice bonus. The view is amazing, and there are lots of great shops downstairs, perfect for browsing. Plus, it's really close to the subway.
