I was extremely satisfied with my stay this time. The hotel's proximity to a subway station made getting around incredibly convenient. Being newly renovated, the hotel was impeccably clean. The smart controls throughout the room were intuitive and easy to operate, making adjusting the lighting and curtains a breeze. The layout was well-designed; the sleeping and sofa areas were effectively separated from the living space, giving it the feel of a mini-suite. Thoughtful details were evident everywhere, such as the retractable clothesline, which conveniently solved any drying needs. Truly considerate! The room facilities were new and practical, even boasting a Dyson hairdryer. The charming room decor added a lovely, cozy touch. The air conditioning worked perfectly, providing instant comfort upon entering the room, even on a scorching hot day. The expansive view from the window offered a pleasant panorama. Overall, it offered excellent value for money and was a truly pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend it to friends.
I stayed here for four nights in Nanjing and was generally very satisfied.
Environment: This area feels very safe, with main roads and various institutions having guards on duty. It's close to several shopping malls and food streets, about a ten-minute walk away. The subway station, Xuanwu Lake, and Gulou are also within walking distance. Yihe Road is about a 20-minute walk, which is very convenient. Nanjing's barrier-free design for roads is quite friendly, so walking with a suitcase isn't a problem. If you take a taxi, Didi will pinpoint the Ji Hotel on the main road, but you'll need to walk back a bit into an alley. Gaode (Amap) navigates directly to it.
Hygiene/Facilities: Since the hotel is in an alley and I booked it last minute, I was initially worried it might be a bad choice, but I was pleasantly surprised. Overall, it's good, and the cleaning staff try their best to meet any requests. There's one washing machine and one dryer, which is very convenient; not many people were using them when I was there, so no waiting was needed. The air conditioning cooling is powerful. The mattress is on the firmer side for hotels, depending on personal preference.
Areas for improvement:
- Some hygiene details could be paid more attention to. You can tell it's been cleaned, but more attention to detail would enhance the experience.
- The bathroom has a smell, possibly due to humidity, so I had to close the door when sleeping. Perhaps also due to humidity + the season, there were some small insects in the bathroom.
- The switches in the entryway could be labeled.
- Sometimes, even with the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on, the cleaning staff would still knock. They're very diligent, but I sleep quite late and hope to get good rest.

Perfect
GGuest UserThe B&B is very close to the Laomendong Scenic Area and the City Wall Museum. There are family rooms available, perfect for three people. The alleys of Laomendong are within walking distance, filled with snacks. The alleys are quaint, with blue brick and tile horse-head walls, and the plants growing on the houses are lush. Strolling through the alleys is truly a delight.
GGuimomoThis hotel was a fantastic find! First off, the front desk and lobby staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. The room was spotless, and they even offered complimentary snacks, drinks, and a welcome fruit platter. You could also see the Zifeng Tower from our room! The location is super convenient; it's just a three-minute walk to Xinjiekou Metro Station. Breakfast was abundant and included many local Nanjing specialties. They even gave us a small gift at checkout, which was a lovely touch. I'll definitely choose Mercure again the next time I'm in Nanjing.
XXavierasyI booked a suite for 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott the night before I came from Xi'an because I wanted to visit Niushoushan, Jinling Xiaocheng, and other tourist spots nearby.
The location of the Courtyard is actually not bad; it's right beside the Hedingqiao metro station, and many food booths and convenience stores are just downstairs. You can buy takeaway at any time. The reception staff is nice and helpful and can speak very good English, no doubt.
The worst was the concierge. One of the concierge staff has been playing on his cellphone every single moment. I took Didi or the metro at least 4 or 5 times every day. Every time I pass through the entrance, he is playing on his phone.
The most frustrating part was when I ordered takeaway through the app. The delivery man said he placed it on the concierge cart right next to that guy, but someone took my package, and he didn't notice. YEAH, How could he possibly know if he was preoccupied with his phone ?!
GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations.
We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby.
We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed.
Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel.
This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance.
We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again.
Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed.
When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet.
Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.
BBenbenxiaoniziFacilities: Complete, clean and tidy, the only drawback is that the air conditioning cannot be used as desired.
Hygiene: The overall feeling of the indoor area is good, and the outdoor area is relatively primitive and needs to be improved.
Environment: Highly recommended. I went to Kuanzhai Bar at night, and it felt like Nanjing Pattaya, very comfortable; I ran a circle of less than four kilometers in the park during the day, and it was an oxygen bar in nature, and I lingered; you can walk, ride, and play in the park, and there are many projects...
Service: Active and friendly, thoughtful, very good!
MM238722****The hotel staff were excellent; they kindly upgraded us to a king-size room. Despite being in a busy downtown area, it was surprisingly quiet, and we slept very soundly. The bedding was extremely comfortable. We would definitely choose to stay here again next time.
The hotel is right next to Qinhuai River, just steps from the entrance. There are many dining options nearby, and we enjoyed local delicacies like crab roe noodles, BBQ, duck blood vermicelli soup, and soup dumplings.
XXiaoyouchengThe bed was massive, felt like 2.4 meters! The hotel environment is super nice, very clean, and luxurious. There were also many international guests. There's an outlet mall nearby, within walking distance, but I didn't go. The styles and brands weren't that impressive. I chose this hotel because I was here for Brother Sheng's concert, and it was close by. It was really good!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is quite large, and it's a bit of a winding drive even if you take a taxi, haha. Check-in was very smooth. Only two bottles of mineral water in the room are complimentary; everything else is chargeable. I'd recommend grabbing two free bottles from the lobby before heading up to your room!
The elevators require key card access, which adds to security, but there are no room service robots, so if you order takeout, you have to go downstairs to pick it up yourself! However, there are plenty of elevators, making it easy to go up and down. It's also quite soundproof, and the bedding is very comfortable.
A 500 deposit is required at check-in, which is fully refunded if there are no extra charges after check-out. If you need a late check-out, it's 30 per hour, which is pretty reasonable. Overall, it's a decent stay.

PPolanererThe location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. The front desk staff were wonderful and upgraded us to a suite with a fantastic view. The blackout curtains worked great, and the smart toilet was a 10/10 experience 💯. Service was efficient, the room was spacious, and the ventilation was good. The duvet was soft and I slept very comfortably, and the air conditioning and ventilation were also quite good.
JJiaxiao-_-The service is very good, and the free parking lot is well received. The young man at the front desk was very patient and helped me change rooms quickly when I wanted to. The room is large, the bathroom conditions are very good, and the soundproofing is very good. I can't hear the cars on the road.
