Wonderful family fun party playing skittles and enjoying delicious food. All 15 meals were ordered from the main menu and all the individual meals were delicious, served piping hot and served with all their appropriate a compliments. Gina (one of the owners) was so welcoming , making sure the alley was the right temperature and allowing us to play our own music. The rest of the staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The pub had a good choice of English beers. Our visit was on Christmas Eve and the mulled wine was very yummy.

4 adults plus 3 year old for Sunday evening roast. Couldn’t fault anything warm welcome, smiling staff (often lacking these days), and excellent choice of food. Very generous portions, faultless service, excellent value, lots of the areas overpriced venues could learn a lot. Will definitely return many thanks the Butcher family

Booked this place, had to drop daughter off to a wedding and also visit Monttisfont, the NT property and rose garden. A delightful find, comfy room with excellent shower. Decent beer and good wine selection and evening meal was very good, home cooked. Very welcoming on arrival and at all times during our stay. Will certainly stay there again if we are in the neck of the woods.

We were attending a wedding reception at Kimbridge Barns nearby so booked a nights stay. We asked to check in early before the reception which they were able to accommodate and they gave us helpful advice about local taxis. There was plenty of space to park. We received a warm welcome and we’re shown to our room. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower was excellent , everything you need for a good nights stay. The breakfast was superb, full English with everything piping hot. Extra tea was offered and gratefully accepted. A great value place to stay.

What a good find this place was! Friendly, spacious feel to the bar area, good service and delicious food. The standard roast dinner was ample: well cooked, nicely presented with a variety of vegetables to accompany. We'll certainly revisit and I'll be recommending to others too! The pub is close to The Mottisfont Estate: a National Trust property which is worth a visit, but so too is walking in the area through woodland and open fields.

Our first visit to The Mill Arms. We wanted a pub close to Mottisfont Abbey that was independent. The menu was extensive with an excellent specials board to accompany it. Food was served in the conservatory. We all (4) had different meals and commented that the quality and standard of presentation was high. The staff serving were also polite, tolerant and helpful. We would recommend this establishment for the food. On the flip side, I felt that this watering hole lacked a bit of atmosphere, particularly for a village pub. The area behind the bar, towards the toilets, was a bit sterile and municipal. I also wasn't so keen on seeing people open the fire door from the bar/lounge area and stand outside vaping or smoking. This was all visible from the conservatory. Something I might tolerate in the cafeteria on the Isle of Wight ferry service but less so in these circumstances. Overall a good experience but could do with some sprucing up to encourage me to visit again.

We recently stayed here for four nights pre departing for a cruise from Southampton. The country pub was an absolute delight with very comfortable rooms, superb food and a wonderful service from Gina, Lorna and their entire team who were so pleasant and efficient and couldn’t do enough for us right the down to printing Covid test results at the last minute as a requirement for our cruise! Would definitely recommend The Mill for a relaxed stay and if you like your food with a wonderful choice on the fixed menu and a large specials board this is the place for you.
