The hotel is located on the outskirts of town but still close to the city center: this, unfortunately, is the only positive aspect of my experience. From the photos on various websites, the property appears to be in good condition, but the reality is different.
The general state of maintenance is poor, as evident from the room doors and the stairs. The gym has five machines, but three were out of order and therefore unusable. The hotel is supposed to have a restaurant, but we were informed that one was unavailable—surprising, especially in the middle of August and with the hotel fully booked.
The room we were assigned was in terrible condition (as shown in the attached photos): the air conditioning was leaking over the bed and onto the lamp, whose on/off switch was broken. We were unable to use the air conditioning, and when I asked to change rooms, I was told there were no other rooms available. As an alternative, we were provided with two dusty fans.
The window had a roller blind but no curtains, so with the blind up, there was no privacy at all. The furnishings were very old and worn, as were the bathroom fixtures. Furthermore, there was a lingering smell of food and spices.
Fortunately, thanks in part to Trip.com customer service, we were able to cancel the following night and leave early.
It should also be noted that the room was for three people, but there were only two bath towels. I requested an extra large towel, but was given two small ones because the large ones were sold out (which I find absurd).
Perhaps those who left positive reviews found rooms in better condition, but as far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't recommend booking this property.
