Excellent service, facilities and location. Would highly recommend!

A long-established hotel, the red house is particularly beautiful, the environment is elegant, and the service is considerate. The breakfast at 5,200 is a bit expensive, mainly because I don’t have time. The two kinds of beef for dinner are very delicious. It is a hotel I want to come to again next time.

It is a famous old hotel. Although it is old, the facilities are very good. The rooms are large and comfortable. Even if eating in the hotel is a bit expensive, it is understandable. After all, it is in the mountains. Facilities, sanitation, environment and services are all in place.

This is a historic classic hotel built in a national park in a mountainous region. You can only experience the pure air, water, and tranquility by going there. From the cozy, well-appointed rooms and verandas you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Hotaka mountain range and the starry night sky, and at the three restaurants and bar lounge you can enjoy delicious food and service you wouldn't expect in the mountains. You can relax in a comfortable environment while in the mountains. What is particularly noteworthy is that, unlike city hotels, the staff are close (but by no means overly familiar) and offer friendly hospitality. The only regret is that it is only open seasonally from April to November. I dream that if it were open in the winter, I could warm myself up and relax by the mantelpiece in the lobby lounge.

I was worried because I heard it was an old hotel, but everything was well maintained and it felt nicer. Above all, I liked the space with the large wood-burning stove in the lobby.

I think it's wonderful to be able to receive the services of a first-class hotel in a location like Kamikochi. The staff are friendly and attentive to you. You can relax. That's why I've been coming here for nine years since 2015.

I stayed in a room with a balcony. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, so I couldn't use the balcony much, so I had a memorable French dinner. The food was light and delicious. The service was just right, and the explanations given by the waiter were not one-sided, but rather a back-and-forth conversation. I was impressed that conversation is also a form of hospitality.

The mountain hut-style exterior is impressive, and when you see it, you feel a deep emotion that you have come to Kamikochi again this year. Naturally, it is different from hotels in the city center, so even within the Imperial Hotel, there is a relaxed a**osphere that helps guests relax. You can see the mountains of Kamikochi from the balcony of your room, which is a different way to spend your time than walking around Kamikochi. The breakfast is not something fancy, but a classic American breakfast that is the standard for Imperial Hotels. However, it might be time to renovate the bathroom and other facilities.

I had wanted to come here for many years but never had the chance, and finally I got to visit. As a resort hotel, I think it is on par with The Oriental class.

Some people have written that there is no air conditioning or free water, but considering the location, it's amazing. If you think about the difficulties of maintaining a mountain hut, there is nothing to compare it to the difficulties of running a hotel. Not used to drinking it? I think it's a great idea to install a tap for spring water from Rokuhyakuyama rather than providing mineral water in the room. If you want convenience, it's better to stay at a city hotel. I haven't stayed at the Imperial Hotel long enough to know its true essence, but I was very satisfied with the number of towels and other services that show that they share information with Uchisaiwaicho in the main castle. I also wanted to try the famous roast beef, but it was unfortunate that I missed the opportunity due to lack of research on my part, but it can't be helped considering the preparation of ingredients. If you really want to eat it, you can just stay for a few nights. I also liked the shops, which had reasonable prices. What impressed me most was that when I was chatting with the staff during dinner and mentioned that I was there to celebrate my 77th and 70th birthdays, they took photos of me on the spot and gave me the photos of the 77th and 70th birthdays. I felt the flexibility and generosity of a long-established store. I was also happy to receive the valuable items I received, as I have a strange reaction to non-sale items. They will be renovating the bathroom this winter, but I'm sure you will enjoy a comfortable stay. The weather in the mountains changes quickly, so it was helpful to lend out shoes and ponchos. Whether they will accept you or not, if you have the opportunity to stay, you should research in advance and make a request. It may lead to a slightly more pleasant stay. I don't know what other people think, but for me, it was a very comfortable stay.
