With the hindsight of some of the reviews i have read on this hotel, my conclusion after just staying here for a few days is they are absolutely not giving the hotel the justice it derserves. Yes the hotel is old, might be some tiles missing here and there' or some wall plug not sitting 100 % in the wall. But generally its not a problem that can't be solved if you ask the staff they are both friendly and helpfull. With a large family in marrakech and the experience of travelling here every other year for the last 30 years this is nothing out of the ordinary on hotels of marrakech unless you are staying at something absolutely high end hotel which will probably cost you small fortune Garden is magnificent with a spacious pool area, friendly and helpfull staff that solves any problems you might have, good food with fair prices. Rooms are spacious well ventilated (Ive read a lot of people complaining about the A/C, to that i can just say morocco is one of the warmest places on earth specially during the summer time and thats not anything even the best A/C can solve) The only negative thing is the area around the hotel once was a ”highend” district with lots of luxury hotels sadly the last couple of years the area has been in decay leaving it quite ”dead” which means you have to find a taxi to get to anywhere interesting which is not a big cost (20Dh-40dh), but can be tricky if you are travelling more then 3 persons due to lack of big taxis and the fact that small taxi´s only take 3 people. But i guess TIA (This is africa) Pool 4/5 Stars - Minus one for missing tiles/renovation Garden 5/5 Stars - Big and perfect for the kids to take a nap in the stroller Rooms 4/5 stars - Minus one for minor renovation issues Staff 5/5 Stars - Friendly, helpfull and good in both arabic/french and English Price/Value 5/5 stars

I rarely take the time to review but I felt some reviews were unfair. I was worried after reading the reviews after I had booked. I think most are unfair. I think people are confusing this for a 5* The prices for a couple are a little more than you would pay for a shared room in a hostel. The hotel is basic and was more than adequate for our stay. contrary to some reviews I found the staff very friendly and polite. The breakfast is basic and buffet style. A selection of 3 types of bread, boiled eggs, Green tea, coffee, pastries , Cakes, juice, msemen, cereal and a microwave to warm things if you need to. The hotel is slightly further than most but perfectly accessible. 10 minutes in taxi 13-15drh in day 30dh at night £1.5-£3 cheap. Taxis easily flagged down on the main road opposite. language is possibly an issue as other than 1 or 2 they dont really speak english. They were upfront about pricing and whilst some things they do try charging a premium for in comparison with the shops outside they are not too dear. Like everything in Marrakesh be streetsmart, ask for clarification of charges and question any charges you feel are incorrect. I was asked to pay taxes on my checkout and I had already paid it on arrival. I questioned it and he quickly corrected his error. whether he was hustling or just made an error I dont know but he was polite and corrected himself. From the old pictures on websites and from the foyer it is obvious that this place was once quite nice. it is at present tired and needs a refurb but this is reflected in the price. This is Marrakesh, the hustle is real. do your research and book something that is appropriate for you in your budget. dont book 3 star and expect 5 star. hope this helps someone considering booking I enjoyed my stay.

We have just returned from a 5 day break, just the husband and I (we left the 4 kids at home). The hotels location is ok, it’s at the side of a busy road but our room was pool side so did t really hear the traffic, it’s walking distance to town. The hotel is unloved and un cared for, broken tiles, broken chairs and sun loungers, and just generally tatty. We had no issues with the staff who were all pleasant the whole time we were there, obviously we have traveled in November and it was so quiet, hardly any people there at all. It could be beautiful and I’m sure it was in its day but right now it needs some work. The breakfast was questionable but we didn’t starve (we were B&B Only) and I wouldn’t have chosen to have eaten their for any other meals. The pool is to small for the size of the hotel and I can only imagine what it would be like in summer with people fighting over such limited swimming space surrounded by concrete but not enough tables/chairs or sun loungers. We had a lovely holiday none the less but I wouldn’t return to this hotel which is a shame as it’s in a great location.

I recommend! Thank you for reading the review. The room was spacious and clean, with two balconies and a large bathroom with bathroom. Very pleasant, we had room 58 for our stay of one week. The household is done every day With regard to meals (half-pension), it was very good!! The staff is at the small care, we were like at home ... thanks for their welcome! The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the shopping centre and 10 minutes from the tourist sites.

I visit Marrakech alot so have a lot of positive (and negative) experience with hotels and other accommodation... I can honestly say this is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. Check In was about 4 hours long Room wasn't cleaned and new towels weren't offered throughout our stay TV, Safe, AC, Wifi (that they advertised) did not work upon sending a technician to the room, the Wifi worked and nothing else No rail in the wardrobe - asked for this to be sorted no go Side room with a balcony that overlooked a derelict building,,, locals using the hotel for the weekend were put next to us which is great but they came in at 3/4am and were very loud Pillows and bedding were basically non existent - lumpy pillow, rock hard bed, rags for bedding would be better sleeping on the floor Balcony peeling, no furniture on balcony Bar staff tried charging us for drinks we didn't have Pool area is awful. Overgrown grass, dirty cold pool water, broken furniture Overall was a negative experience in this hotel that was only made better by the fact we were in Marrakech which is one of the greatest cities in the world AND the fact the hotel across the road is a little better and you can go and sit by their swimming pool and enjoy their facilities. Basic tip for anyone thinking of booking this hotel.... just spend a little extra money and head somewhere else.
