We stayed at the SpringHill Suites for GenCon. The room was modern with some nice touches like a sliding translucent room divider to given someone sleeping on the couch some privacy from the main bed. A separate shower and toilet room so more then one person could get ready in the morning. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Sadly like many stops on this trip, no black tea at breakfast, just a selection of herbal teas and coffee. Location is close to the downtown core and you can get to the Convention center though the JW without going outside.

We had a room with a couch and a king bed. It was nice but rather crowded in the sitting area. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good with biscuits and gravy, Breakfast sandwiches, cereal. There was a small indoor pool, no hot tub. Bed was comfortable. The room set up is crowded with the couch, table and desk, especially when the bed is made out. Breakfast ended a little earlier than I like. Rather expensive but it was the weekend. No hot tub.

Weekend Getaway, Arrived at the hotel, greeted warmly by the front staff, Ivey (I believe that’s her name) retrieved room key and proceeded to the room, on our way to the room, we noticed a little wear and tear, which is to be expected, but a little disappointing - arrived at our room, upon entry the odor was heavy laden with Male Fragrance, restroom was poorly cleaned, and there were structural defect. Informed the front desk of deficiencies and within 5 min., the environmental team including the Manager, Ryan were there, he addressed all of our concerns, kindly, and the team immediately started cleaning the room, due to the structural defects we opted not to stay in the room… Ryan quickly identified the same type of room on a different floor, to which we were highly pleased, no odor, clean, and without major structural defects. Initially I would’ve allocated 3 stars, but due to the service recovery and stellar customer service, definitely worth 5 stars. After the slight fiasco- we received complimentary drinks from the barthat was unexpected, but greatly appreciated!!! Lastly, per Ryan the hotel will be undergoing major renovations soon. We look forward to coming back once the renovations are complete. This is a great area to stay with lots of nice restaurants and shops.

Wonderful hotel and staff. Location was perfect for where we needed to get. Spent our 6th anniversary here for the night and was given a lovely room upgrade. Amazing food choices are literally all over and within walking distance. The room was perfect. Comfy beds, amazing shower with rainfall heads. Can’t wait to come back!

Used trip.com to save money on our trip. Was excited to see Embassy as choice and booked it quickly. A $25.00 deposit added that 10 days later has yet to be refunded. There was so much construction going on that scaffolds literally from top to bottom in center was all that could be seen from room and elevator. Was unable to walk around to get full beauty and appreciation of the embassy. Am truly glad all the children were able to enjoy the pool. Unfortunately with as much as front desk hovered around pool entrance to ensure my teenage boys didn't enter during adult time on their visit they failed to see all the small hair chunks floating in the water under the oil that prevented a leisurely swim. The breakfast was delicious and those that were responsible for assisting us I thank again for the kindness they showed when food toppled off tray in front of room. Was impressed with how quickly another tray was made with a smile and with clean up.

Checked in late afternoon, and went to bar for a quick bite. The bartender was extremely, prompt, polite, and professional. He answered my questions regarding menu and answered all of my questions. Great food, but even better service from Craig Houk, the bartender. As a lifetime Diamond member of the Hilton Honors program, I truly appreciate him making my stay a pleasant experience.

The room was nice but I had several issues during my stay. When I was in my room taking a nap, another guest came and tried to come in my room but I had the top bolt on the door. When she couldn’t open the door she proceeded to bang on my door repeatedly until I opened the door. When I opened the door she said she received the same room and had a key to my room. I told her that had to be an error because I received this room hours ago. Apparently, hotel staff had my room marked as vacant so my room was given to another guest. Shortly after this incident, I heard a knock on my door while I was taking a shower. And before I could exit the shower, I heard my door open. I jumped out the shower and poked my head out the bathroom door and saw a hotel employee in my room. He then asked if I ordered food and I said yes and he put the food down next to the tv. I was naked and felt extremely uncomfortable that a man was in my room. And he stayed in my room way too long. Even after I said yes to the food he proceeded to stand there for a couple of seconds and apologized and finally left the room. I later found out this was the hotel manager that had entered my room. I left instructions for my door dash order to be left outside my room. I do not understand why the manager thought it was appropriate to enter my room. My food could have easily been left outside the door. Also, the next day when I returned to my room I found housekeeping had thrown my clothes on the ground. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay.

Room was very dark with very little lighting. Microwave would not work properly. Door to the room did not lock properly. Upon checkout the clerk did not ask how my stay was but I let her know about the microwave and she proceeded to tell me I was wrong. I just wasn't pushing the button correctly. No do not disturb signs and housekeeping knocked on door at 9:00 am on Sunday morning even though checkout was not until noon. Room was clean. Coffee provided in room. No free breakfast. Paid $5 for parking, don’t know why. They put a $20 hold on card in case you bought something from food pantry. Will choose somewhere else next time we are in the area.

Due to factors such as the epidemic, the number of tourists on business trips is very small, so there are very few people in the lobby. There are no baggage attendants and no tourist information desks. I arrived on Sunday. I expected to visit the museum on Monday. I asked the front desk. They said they were open, but they were not open. The opening hours were from Thursday to Sunday. Closed Monday to Wednesday. The front desk casually gave the wrong information, which was rarely seen in hotels in the United States before.

Stayed one night at the HGI for business. Check in was a breeze. Room was big and comfortable and the morning breakfast was good quality with plenty of choices. The restaurant in the hotel was great for a late night bite with good options...some healthy. Overall a nice experience for a business stay.
