Excellent location, just at the train station. We booked through booking.com and got an excellent deal. We were 3 adults and there are plenty of rooms to accommodate families and a small group of friends. Please note that there is city tax to be paid on site. Also just wanted to say a huge huge thank you to the staff. Amazingly helpful. Helped us to check in after hours and then when staying again, helped to order pizza 😊. And you can store your luggage. Breakfast is included. You will get a voucher which can be redeemed in 2 places. It's for a cup of coffee and a fresh pastry. Typical light Italian breakfast. Delicious. Just a note, to make sure you go to the correct one, ask before. As there are 2. One has RED flower pots in front and the other has WHITE. The staff is very helpful, and can chat to via WhatsApp. Thanks again!!!

This hotel is well situated in a quiet area near all attractions. It is fun in its minimalistic and slick design. The beds are huge and comfortable. The air con works well, the showers are invigorating and the Hotel is eco friendly. All these things are great but what makes this Hotel stand out way beyond most others is the staff. Each and every person I have dealt with here is interested, helpful, professional and at all times caring. At a time I was beginning to lose hope in the service industry The Poet Hotel has restored my faith. We have loved our unexpected time here.

Very good niche travel destination, it is recommended, the hotel is good: 1, diet: breakfast in the middle of the rules,; booked half-board, dinner dishes can be; service attitude is very good; 2, parking: definitely have to go by car, stayed for two nights, the hotel garage 40 euros stopped for one day, Italy parking costs are similar in several cities, very expensive. 3, room: booked is the administrative sea view room (that is, the 4th floor room), the room area is really small, it is more than a dozen flat, a suitcase will be, two suitcases can not open, slightly have a nainai tide However, the executive room has a small balcony that can be smoked to see the scenery (the balcony will be covered by the room, which does not affect the view), and if it is the 4th floor (408, 409), the balcony does not have a room. But basically can't stand, no area, and the view will be blocked by other rooms, we just switched to other rooms. It feels like the room with 2 floors is the best room type. My wife and I had a wonderful overnight stay here during a two day journey to Cinque Terre with another couple. The hotel is on a quiet side street off the main coastal road in Monterosso al Mare, just a five minute (flat) walk from the train station. The front entrance has a large courtyard shaded with umbrella pine and royal palm trees. We arrived early, and the friendly staff stored our luggage for us until our room was ready. Check in time is 14:00 and check out time is 10:30. Our room was well-appointed with a metal shade and security windows. The shower is small - but typical for Italian hotels. We couldn’t get the climate control to work, but it got cooler as the evening progressed and we didn’t need it anyway. Our breakfast was continental-style and the fruit and pastries were very fresh. Coffee and tea are available any way you like (espresso, macchiato, Americano) and the machine is high-end and sophisticated. I can’t say more about the friendly hotel staff. They stored our bags again after we left and offered to let us use a shower and washroom later in the day after we checked out. Grazie Mille!! We highly recommend Hotel Palme for anyone contemplating a journey to Monterosso al Mare and the Cinque Terre National Park. Buon viaggio!!!

Good location between the train station and port. The shower drain was a bit blocked and would over flow if you had it on full. You could also smell the typical unpleasant drain smell from a blocked pipe.

My husband and I visited Cinque Terra in June. We stayed at the Hotel Villa Argentina. It is located on the top of the town of Riomaggiore. Our room was small but very functional and clean. The view from our balcony made the climb up through the town and the four flights of stairs to get to our room totally worth it. Antonio and Alessandra are the lovely couple that run the hotel. Breakfast every morning was fantastic. Pastries, home made jams, meats, cheeses, and exceptional coffee. All the staff was incredibly friendly. We also enjoyed visiting the other villages that make up Cinque Terra. The train was easy to take from one place to the next. We loved our stay. Roger and Leslie Fiorini

We so much enjoyed our stay! After a little issue finding the place (we came by car and weren't sure where to park. Most folks come by train and don't have an issue) we were warmly greeted by Tatyana and Paulo and assisted with parking and our luggage. (cell signal is spotty, so get as much detailed information beforehand as possible). Our room was not large, but clean. Simply appointed, there was bottled water, candy, and a bottle of sparkling wine for our sunset toast on the balcony upstairs. The house was not full of guests, though the other family there was of no disturbance to us, and we all enjoyed the balcony together at times. While this is a simple, no-fuss accommodation, the views and hospitality make up for any amenity you may feel it lacks. Remember, you're in the middle of a quaint village, living amongst people who have lived in this village for decades. Respect to them, and an attitude of simple living, will ensure your time here is pleasurable. We opted for the breakfast, and were not disappointed. Tatyana served a traditional fare and plenty of hot coffee and juice. We were free to come and go at will, and leave our bags on check-out day until we were ready to leave the town. We would definitely return for another visit at Arpaiu. (There are many stairs and hills to climb. Ability to climb MUST be taken into consideration before booking)
