Actually, I was so scared on the first day because I was pressed by scissors. I stayed in a room on the 4th floor and was so surprised because my sleeping figure was reflected in the mirror. That's not good in terms of feng shui. Fortunately, I changed the room to the 2nd floor and didn't have any more nightmares. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly. The photo is of the room I changed to, and this was fine. It didn't feel like a hotel at all. The breakfast was delicious! It was fresh. It wasn't a place I would recommend, but I'll give it 3 stars.

The room is clean, but it is smaller than in China. The transportation is convenient. It is in the city center and it is convenient to go anywhere. The breakfast is rich and can adapt to all tastes.

The rooms and bathrooms are large and spacious, and disposable items are provided, including disposable slippers, and the room will also send two listens of Coke. The only problem is the design of the shower room. There is a baffle in the first half, and there is no door in the second half. The water is easy to splash out.

There is good access to Madrid Airport as there is a bus to the airport from the nearby station. The high-speed train station is also about 20 minutes away by bus.
However, it is far from tourist spots. It seems like it takes 40 minutes to 1 hour on foot, and 20 minutes to 30 minutes by public transportation.
If you are traveling for sightseeing rather than transportation, a hotel closer to the city may be better.
The room is clean, but there are some inconveniences, such as there being no outlets next to the bed or in the bathroom. I also didn't like the fact that the bed frame mysteriously glowed green and the elevator had red lighting because it was unsettling.

Best hotel we stayed at during the whole trip in Spain. Went there for Travis’s Euro Tour, hotel is located right by a metro station and it’s 15 min away from city centre/Train station, 30 min away from Airport - really really convenient.
Hotel’s got everything you are wishing for, recently renovated, air con really good, room is spotless and spacious, bedding is clean and soft. The only prob is that the wifi is on and off, could be slow sometimes.
Staff is well trained and very friendly, especially the young lady help me with glasses of ice cubes, didn’t note her name.
An unforgettable experience in Madrid, highly recommended.

I recently stayed at Hotel Puerta América and had a mixed experience. The hotel’s design is definitely its highlight—each floor features a unique style created by world-renowned architects, which makes for a visually exciting stay. The rooms are modern and spacious, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The service, while polite, felt inconsistent. Check-in took longer than expected, and there were delays with room service on multiple occasions. Additionally, while the hotel boasts of its luxury, some amenities felt a bit dated, especially considering the price point.
The location is slightly away from the main tourist attractions, which is great if you’re looking for a quiet stay, but it’s not ideal for those wanting to be in the heart of the action.
Overall, Hotel Puerta América is a stylish and unique hotel, but there are areas where improvements could be made to justify the cost and overall experience.

small room in a hostel close to the metro. central location, air conditioning, hot water, the best thing is that there is a shower room in the room. Quite comfortable beds, clean bed linen, new plumbing. there is a shop on the ground floor. where you can buy many of the things a traveler might need. Nearby there are cafes, snack bars, fruit shops, and others.

The hotel is very simple and old, rooms are clean but by no standards it can be a 4 star hotel or even 3. But the price is definitely not worth it. The location is downtown and near train station (walking 5-10) minutes and to barajas airport by taxi it takes 30 minutes . There are some good restaurants nearby . Because it is in crowded area so it is noisy at night . Everything was normal except the high price .

The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance to many of Madrid’s most famous attractions. There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby, which is super convenient. The service is good, and the staff are friendly and professional.
The area outside the hotel is lively, but the windows in the room are very well soundproofed, so it’s quiet and comfortable for sleeping.
However, there are some areas for improvement. The room doesn’t provide slippers, which is a bit inconvenient. The room itself is a bit small, and the glass door of the bathroom offers little soundproofing, making using the bathroom slightly awkward. Additionally, both the bathroom and the shower room have motion-sensor lights, which can be inconvenient to use. Neither can be locked, and the shower room door doesn’t fully close, which might be an issue for some guests.

Outstanding
TTraveler 123recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Palacio de los Duques in Madrid, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I entered the magnificent palace-like building, I was captivated by the grandeur and elegance that surrounded me.
The hotel's location in the heart of Madrid's historic center is perfect for exploring the city's attractions. Many iconic landmarks, such as the Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor, are within walking distance, making it convenient for sightseeing enthusiasts like me.
The staff at Palacio de los Duques Madrid truly went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service provided by the concierge, every interaction was marked by genuine hospitality and professionalism.
The room I stayed in was beautifully appointed and exuded a sense of luxury. The elegant decor, comfortable furnishings, and modern amenities created a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail was impeccable, and I appreciated the little touches that enhanced my stay, such as the plush bathrobes and high-quality toiletries.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's stunning rooftop terrace. Offering panoramic views of Madrid's skyline, it provided a breathtaking backdrop for enjoying a drink or simply unwinding while taking in the city's beauty. The on-site restaurant also surpassed my expectations with its delectable cuisine, showcasing a fusion of traditional and contemporary flavors.
Hotel Palacio de los Duques Madrid seamlessly blends historical charm with modern luxury. The preservation of the building's architectural heritage, combined with the impeccable service and attention to detail, creates an unforgettable experience.
Overall, my stay at Hotel Palacio de los Duques Madrid exceeded all expectations. It is a true gem in the heart of Madrid, offering a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and convenience. Whether you are visiting for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay in the vibrant capital city of Spain.
BbinconThe hotel is better than InterContinental, the luggage is delivered to the room, the decoration is high-end, the service staff is enthusiastic, and the hotel is in a good location near Ritz Park. It is highly recommended.
DDr. Julio BernalThe hotel’s location was very convenient, the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The downside was that the room was very basic and small. The bathroom was average even though the shower was very nice. The general facilities lack amplitude. The size of the pool is really small. It is like a kid’s pool. The gym is very small as well. Overall, it is a good hotel but its facilities could be better.
GGuest UserAll very well!! The location is WONDERFUL! Ideal for exploring the center of Madrid on foot from one side to the other, a 10. The building is beautiful and everything is very clean. There is only one drawback, the bells of the monastery next door... they ring from 6 in the morning, every hour. If you have no problem going back to sleep, or it doesn't affect you, the superior rooms are wonderful, the views over the rooftops of Madrid... spectacular. If you are bothered by noise, it is better to choose one of the interior rooms. They also have windows, but they face the interior patio of the hotel, which has a glass window that separates the bar-rest area and makes these rooms very quiet. We stayed in a junior suite on the 5th floor one night, my husband was not bothered by the bells, but they kept me awake and for the next night we asked for a change. And in the interior room on the 2nd floor, although it was half the size of the other, we were very comfortable. No noise, very comfortable bed, shower with a lot of pressure, everything new, but preserving the charm of the old embassy. I would repeat without hesitation!
GGuest UserGreat location, very nice breakfast, there is also a Starbucks right outside the enterance which is nice. Literally a two minute walk to Gran Via street where you can find anything you could possibly need. The staff was polite, the rooms were clean and very quiet at least on the 5th floor :) Overall would recommend and come back again. Gracias Madrid!
SSC from HKGood in location, near Atocha station.
Good hotel facilities.
Good star services.
Good breakfast.
BUT be careful to select the room, my room get a big column inside living room and bath room, very bad experience.
I book the Superior twin room, but not superior, only at 1/F. No place to put our luggage, no table to put our accessories.
May be you have to pay more to book large room will be better.
And bad entrance design, you need to to go inside through a staircase, will be a problem if you have heavy luggage.
GGuest User2 nights there. Very nice checking, eye-contact, body language, speech, correct approaching and fast. I felt welcome.
The hotel: I loved the kind like dark-atmosphere, it's not a sun-like bright hotel, it's elegant and classic. Don't expect cheap Chinese LEDs ON every corner. Furniture and colors are very inviting to a relaxed state of mind. The room was big enough, classical furniture, 2 comfy armchairs, heavy and blocking light curtains do the job. Bed, quite comfy and big. Wrong pillows. I would have enjoyed more if a 3rd (extra) bed wasn't there. Is the idea to make me feel more lonely? :-) Reception made a cock-up. I'm single traveler, I booked for 2. I didn't bother to ask to remove Soundproofing: once you step out of the lift: no echo on large aisle. Carpets floors all over, solid furniture plus all the surrounding trees makes the trick. Once inside the room: you hear next door people having a conversation, doors opening. Seriously! It really sucks! I went ill, upset stomach and I didn't felt relaxed to use the closed as much as needed. On the other hand: the adults games? How to manage it? Mute on?
Parking is super. It's approved even for those with only 2 remaining points on theirs driving license. :-)
I would come back as a single traveler.
My greetings to the cleaning staff. Good job. Thank you.
YYi YungA Trip.com search listed this hotel that was more affordable than others that met my search criteria in Madrid City. The location meant driving back to where I picked up the rental car, but was still within half an hour from Madrid city. The check in & out was efficient and pleasant. The availability of simple meal on premise F&B until midnight was convenient. The rooms were functional, tastefully decorated, quiet, odor free and clean. The beds were a good King size and comfortable even if the pillow a little meager. The underground gated car park with charging station was a BIG PLUS for the hybrid.
AAnonymous UserHotel service attitude is better, breakfast is more abundant, there is another big Cha Martin Hotel next to it, pay attention not to go wrong.
The hotel is old, there is a wasteland next to it, and it is not very comfortable to live.
