The ordinary room booked, in the back side of the building, the room is equivalent to 3 stars in the country. There is a nightclub downstairs, noisy until the early morning! The next day, I proposed to pay for a room and go to the gate. The hotel is polite and free to change. Ukrainians are enthusiastic and friendly to the people! Breakfast is average, the room is not big. It is recommended to book a deluxe suite or above, facing the old town, with a nice view. The so-called exquisite suite, which is also a standard room, has a small entrance. The name misled me, or I ordered this room type directly.

Breakfast European style, not many varieties, but the taste is delicious, the quantity is very good. The waiter was warm and thoughtful and felt very good. The hotel does not have a car park, parking is available on the roadside and there is a parking space. Children in the room can have an extra bed. The bed is small for children of 2 years old and is free. Older children need an extra bed for an extra charge. The hotel has a 1-hour free spa and an authentic Thai massage shop next door. Very satisfied!

I had the most pleasant stay at the Astoria. The staff were extremely helpful and so polite. I was arriving by train at 11pm and they were very prompt to arrange a pick up for me. Booked me a taxi for my return trip as well. The hotel is right in the heart of the city and a few minutes walk to all the main sights in Lviv. I didn’t need to use public transportation at all during my stay. The room on the fifth floor was comfortable and cozy. I was glad to have a balcony which made stepping out for a smoke easier. The beds were comfortable and the large windows added a lot of space and light to the room. The bathroom was large with an automated toilet which brought back memories of a trip to Japan. There really is nothing like a warm toilet seat to greet you in the morning!! There was also a bathtub which was nice and deep. The water was hot and the pressure was great! Housekeeping did a great job at keeping the place tidy. The only thing missing in the room was a kettle which would have made life a little easier in the mornings. The breakfast was a la carte and was absolutely delicious. The other meals were equally exquisite. (I tried the Bruschetta with Roast Beef and the Deer Fillet) Overall, I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for good value and great location.

Originally, we had another hotel booked in Lviv, but for a few reasons decided not to stay there and made a reservation at Ferenc instead. That was one of the best decisions that we’ve made! Ferenc was amazing from the very moment we stepped in. It is in a great location right in the city center and the interior does not disappoint either. But, the most important thing that made us fall in love with this hotel was the staff. The service was more than we could ever ask for, the lady at the reception during the check in was extremely helpful and gave us the warmest welcome. Also a huge thanks to the restaurant staff, they recommended some awesome speak easy cocktail bars ;)

Located 15min. by foot from Rynok square (=city center) the hotel is located in overall quiet surrondings. Possibility of breakfast on prior reservation. No restaurant, but no need for, as there are plenty of restaurants in the center. 24/7 reception. Personnel is English speaking and helpful: the receptionnist performed train ticket reservations on my behalf. It saved me a slot of waiting time at the train station and possible language misunderstandings. Cleaning service is very efficient and honest. Fan/ventilator (or even air cond.) would be appreciated during summer temp. ,(around 30° during day time).

The location is unique, with a big park at the door. Across the park is the old town of Lviv. The breakfast in the hotel is quite large, but it is not suitable for the taste of Chinese people. There is a large church at the top of the 800 road slope, a small square and cafes at the entrance. The hotel provides a computer printer for free, and the boarding pass of Ukraine Airlines is printed one day in advance. It takes a long time to eat. There is no food downstairs. There are a lot of things to eat in the city center, mostly Ukrainian local dishes, cherry taverns, cafes, Italian restaurants, etc. It is easy to find a favorite Turkish restaurant, Thai restaurant. It's near the town hall square. Lviv is not bad, I walked slowly in all three days. Will go to the hotel again. Disadvantages: The restaurant coffee cup is stained.

The hotel is superb! ! The service is very moving, the English at the front desk is very good, the location is also very good, quiet in the middle of noisy. The breakfast was ordered by myself. It was very delicious. On the last day, we had to check out early because of the train. Without breakfast, the hotel specially prepared a lunch box for us, with bread and vegetable jam and drinks. A big bag, we left at five in the morning, super touched! If you have the opportunity to go or go to a friend, it is highly recommended!

Hotel was clean and nice . But one thing made everything so mess. Really mess. There was restaurant in the hotel. I saw from far away location was after reception and lift. But i never been in restaurant. And night before check out reception ask to me pay my restaurant bill. It was funny but i never been in restaurant:) so i said i never been but okey if you say so maybe my friend used and i paid the amount. It wasn’t big amount 300uah something.. then i asked my friend and he said no we never been in restaurant..morning time I went to reception and i asked kindly and explained what happened. And the person said. I can not do anything it was charged on your room number :):) AND THEY DID NOT SHOW ME ANY RECEIPT OR ANY OF MY SIGN ANY PROOF OF EXPENSES NOTHING.. so is it really your way treating people like that. Its just so funny. Amount was silly . I was paying that money nearly every day for tip. Whenever go out. But if the amount will be 100.000 instead of 300uah will you do do same ? And if they sincerely saying expenses is ours they could check the cctv because 24 hours someone always sitting cctv monitor next to reception. But as i said even there was no bill nothing:) anyway hotel was to be honest comfortable, and clean. But this cheap treatment made my feel so bad. And they treat me like i am lying to them. If i am gonna lying why i gonna pay with no question? I do not care that silly amounts money but it was so bad ..

I made a other booking 1 week ago they changed price about that I canceled my booking and I made other reservation.When I check in receptionist lady try to fight with me. When I said to May I see the room , she said why ? I have only this room . When I try to speak she never listen to me .She was so soo rude . I called the booking.com and they talk with her. I travel all the world I never see any rude people like her. For check in I spender more than 30 minutes. Hotel was clean , location was amazing , sometimes we get the problem about the hot water but It was not big deal. I had the most pleasant stay at the Astoria. The staff were extremely helpful and so polite. I was arriving by train at 11pm and they were very prompt to arrange a pick up for me. Booked me a taxi for my return trip as well. The hotel is right in the heart of the city and a few minutes walk to all the main sights in Lviv. I didn’t need to use public transportation at all during my stay. The room on the fifth floor was comfortable and cozy. I was glad to have a balcony which made stepping out for a smoke easier. The beds were comfortable and the large windows added a lot of space and light to the room. The bathroom was large with an automated toilet which brought back memories of a trip to Japan. There really is nothing like a warm toilet seat to greet you in the morning!! There was also a bathtub which was nice and deep. The water was hot and the pressure was great! Housekeeping did a great job at keeping the place tidy. The only thing missing in the room was a kettle which would have made life a little easier in the mornings. The breakfast was a la carte and was absolutely delicious. The other meals were equally exquisite. (I tried the Bruschetta with Roast Beef and the Deer Fillet) Overall, I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for good value and great location.

By American standards, the room was good and by those same standards, extremely affordable. For the same price in the states, the room would have been a disaster. The restaurant at the top of the hotel was also very good and had good food. If we ever visit Lviv again and need a hotel, Taurus City will be on the list.

I would make 5 stars but unfortunately few things happened during our stay. young receptionists and cleaning ladies were the best! Smiling, always nice ...except tall skinny man , who helping to move luggage. When my friend come to visit me at the room for few hours , he took her luggage and was walking in front of her to my room .. without knocking he opens the door where l was in underwear. That’s was shocking for me!!!! Even didn’t say any apologies. And he never smile ! Just like zombie. Second thing which was unacceptable is hotel’s security which is standing near restaurant Grushevsky. We were hanging out at the restaurant almost every night and of course were going in to the hotel through the restaurant’s door . Ones it’s security didn’t want to let in our guests who was staying in the modern art hotel through the restaurant door after drinking there. But it’s not the end...he just like to staring at the guests. And it’s super weird!!! Ones l even asked waiter to tell him to go inside, as l felt awkward when I’m in the terrace hanging out with family and someone is just staring. So l think stuff need to be trained better! And please tell them that if they are working in the hotel , guests likes smiling stuff not like face of killers. Third thing which made me mad it’s when my husband told me he got a mail from the hotel , asking him to pay the bill for the restaurant ( which he payed a 3 days before on the day he left ). On my side , I left on the next day after him and nobody tell me anything as everything was payed. So that was weird - we payed but the hotel was asking to pay again.. It’s took me a week to solve the problem. As l was not in Ukraine any more as my husband. So next proposal for the hotel will be - to take more attention for this details as it’s very important. Would l stay next time at this hotel ? Probably not . Oh , yes! For 2 weeks staying there l probably learned all the songs at the breakfast place, as it’s same aaaall the time , eeeeevery day ..same same same (((

I stayed in this hotel 3 nights. Location is great, just few steps away from the main square, everything at walking distance but there is also a tram stop close by if needed. The common areas are super nice, as it was also my room. I was a bit surprised that there was no door for the bathroom but in the end I was alone so ok. The hotel is located in a pedestrian area where there are many bars and restaurants, and they provide earplugs for the night in case of noise...I slept with earplugs and didn't have any issue. In the room I found also a bottle of water and soap, shampoo, etc that was nice. Some comments about the room: - housekeeping was done only if requested; - I think that maybe an additional shelf in the bathroom would be helpful as also maybe in the room itself, the cabinet was a bit small. I didn't try the breakfast. Receptionist are available between 9 and 18. Outside these hours there were the doormen but they didn't speak english. One of the receptionist, Yulia (I hope I remember correctly the name, anyways she is a blonde young lady) is great, she gave me a lot of suggestions about places to visit, restaurants, tour, etc. I really appreciated it! I asked for an early check in and they accepted my request, as they could keep my luggage the last day while I was visiting the city. They can also help to arrange transfer and tours. Price I think it is the average touristic one. If I would recommend this hotel? YES!
