RELAXFUL HOTEL

Luang Prabang|0.57km from Wat Phra Bat Tai
Our two elderly people were introduced to Luang Prabang by our daughter and booked this hotel, RELAXFUL HOTEL, which is located on the bank of the Mekong River and less than two kilometers from the city center. We spent four days and three nights in a leisurely and comfortable stay. We moved to room 104 on the first floor, which is 38 square meters. It is very quiet and is not affected by the noise of the air conditioner outdoor unit. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the shower hot water and air conditioning are also very powerful. It is very close to the restaurant, swimming pool and front desk, and the WIFI signal is still good. The swimming pool is not big but the water is clean and warm. The hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off stations, free breakfast is light and affordable, and there is freshly ground coffee. You can also enjoy lunch and dinner a la carte in the restaurant. Go to the city center to visit, participate in charity activities, and visit the morning and night markets. The hotel will use purple and cool electric cars for free pick-up and drop-off, which makes you feel at home! The hotel owner Yao is a Chinese born in the 1980s in his thirties. He enthusiastically and carefully helped us to develop a tour plan, exchange foreign currency, contact car rental, and buy return tickets. He also helped to exchange the excess foreign currency. He also helped us to set the menu, help us to send local voice phrases one by one and mark them in Chinese for us to use when we go out. The hotel staff also speaks Chinese, which makes communication very convenient. The service is warm, considerate and thoughtful. The deepest impression is that the front desk, guest room, restaurant staff and management staff, including staff of various types of work, are all well-mannered and very polite to guests. It is worth mentioning that when visiting the Royal Palace Museum, my husband's newly bought Zulijian elderly shoes were taken away by someone who liked them (the museum needs to be visited barefoot, and the shoes are taken off and placed at the door). When the hotel manager Yao knew about it, he immediately helped us communicate. When he learned that the museum was powerless, he immediately sent a car to bring a pair of slippers to take us back to the hotel. Must be a five-star rating! I strongly recommend RELAKFUI HOTEL when going to Laos! Take this opportunity to complain about the filling of the entry and exit forms of Laos. You will fill it out incorrectly no matter how you do it. Finally, I understand the ultimate meaning of the customs officers' denial: you have to pay 10 yuan or 60,000 Laotian krona. In total, Laos, as a country, collects these two fees from tens of millions of Chinese tourists who travel in and out of the country. The cumulative amount is quite considerable in a year. No wonder it is so shameless to cover up. As a Chinese citizen, you can choose not to travel to Laos, or choose the Belt and Road Initiative to support Laos' economic development, which is to help ourselves. Just prepare the two sums of money and let them stamp them happily, or give you a blank entry and exit form with a stamp. Don't embarrass the Laotian customs officers.

Sada Hotel

Luang Prabang|0.53km from Wat Phra Bat Tai
Sada Hotel was beautiful! The staff was welcoming and very happy to see us although their Engish was limited. They walked us into a courtyard past the coy pond and up a flight of stairs to our suite. Our entrance overlooked the big swimming pool. We opened the door to an expansive room with beautiful old furniture, a gorgeous wooden floor, and a full wall of floor to ceiling windows. One window was actually a door to the balcony which overlooked the courtyard and coy pond and ran the length of our room. It had two chairs and a table. In the room was a large bed that was very comfortable. There was a good deal of storage in the furniture. The furniture included a desk and chair and a table set for dinner with two chairs. There were also two casual chairs and a coffee table where we watched TV until we realized there was little in English. The staff put fruit on the coffee table daily. In the armoire were two robes. The bathroom included a shower, a soaking tub and a sink. Breakfast was included and was served in a beautiful dining rom on the first floor. The pool was warm and clean and empty of guests when we were there. About a mile away is a night market which includes a large eating space with numerous food vendors and many food choices. It is walkable if you can walk about a mile in the heat, but tuk-tuks are easily found and very inexpensive. Have Lao money in small amounts to pay. A tuk-tuk to the night market was about $3.00 or as much as $5.00 when they picked us up in the pouring rain. Sada was peaceful and relaxing and the price was very reasonable.

The Prince's residence is very comfortable and comfortable. It can't be compared with a luxury hotel, but it focuses on leisure. I especially like the large balcony of the Garden Wing guest room. I can lie on the sofa and read a book and soak up the sun. I just hope that time can stop at this moment. The swimming pool is not big, just for taking a bath; the garden is less ornamental, just a small lawn. The room comes with essential oil lamps and aromatherapy as standard, as well as flip-flops, which are very suitable for the local weather that rains frequently.

We have just spent 4 fantastic nights at Liberty Place. The owners are so so lovely and friendly, they can’t do enough for you. The rooms are lovely and spacious. We had our breakfast on the balcony outside which was nicely set out and decorated. The location is great right in the centre of Luang Prabang, near to the night markets and not far from the Mekong River. We did not use the bicycles however they are free to use and we used their laundry service which was done very quickly. They helped us with a situation one of our friends were in and helped book a tuk tuk when they were lost near the waterfalls without any transport. They went above and beyond to help get our friends back to their hostel when they had no way of getting back! We booked our train tickets to Vang Vieng through the guesthouse. Great price and extremely helpful. There were also other tickets, tours and trips that could also be booked as well. We would highly recommend Liberty Place for anyone travelling to Luang Prabang and we would certainly stay again.

A very comfortable hotel housed in a colonial building close to town but set back from the street and very quiet. Rooms are large and comfortable and the bed has mosquio netting which is helpful. The restaurant serves good local and international food in an open-air settind, there is also a pool and spa. Recommend highly.

Excellent value for money, warm service, a small pool. I like their waiter so much, they are very warm. Breakfast is very comfortable, rice noodles, fried eggs, bread. The room has a small balcony. The location is also better. Recommended to live.

Nice setting with lotus ponds and bridge, lots of trees, flowers, gravel winding paths and hidden seating areas. The pool is small but had lots of available comfy seating and was very clean. Breakfast is in a beautiful setting and the service and food were excellent. The menu has lots of options. Excellent service from reception to housekeeping - the complimentary water, fruit baskets and night time cookies were appreciated. Free bicycle hire and reception can organise trips. The location is okay, a 5-10 minute walk to the main area but that gives you an experience of local life as you pass through the narrow streets. There was some road noise - motorbikes etc but im not sure where you can avoid this in Luang Prabang or even SE Asia. If you are bothered by it, ear plugs will be useful. No noise from any neighbours. The room was a good size with a big balcony overlooking the gardens. Lots of stuff provided e.g toiletries, safe, tea, 3 in 1 coffee - you don't need to bring. (Cant remember seeing a razor but tbh hotel ones are never good so i bring my own). TIP: try not to rely on ATMs here, the charges are expensive. Either bring your own currency and exchange at one of the banks here (i got a good rate) or bring Kip. Many places also accept Thai baht and some US $. The hotel has water so being mosquito spray (housekeeping also offered this).
Mekong Theme Hotel Laos

This trip to Laos was very enjoyable and I chose to stay in a Mekong River themed hotel. The beautiful scenery by the river will be unforgettable for a long time. The boss is Chinese, and various services such as money exchange and travel consultation are very convenient. It is recommended that friends from China stay here. There is no language barrier and it is very convenient.
