Pullman Luang Prabang

Fantastic hotel. The rooms are clean and the hotel grounds are very beautiful centred around rice terraces. The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the town centre - though there is a shuttle service provided which makes up for it.

This was my third stay at Pullman Luang Prabang in 2025 (the previous visit was several months ago). The grounds remain attractive and the setting outside town is relaxing in theory, but several aspects of this stay did not match the standard of my earlier visits . Food & beverage changes The menu appears to have been revamped since my last stay, and the previous dessert display at the bar is gone. While others in my group were generally satisfied with their dishes, my Pad Thai was of poor quality (with clumped noodles and an off taste), and the new carrot cake dessert was not to my liking (to put it mildly). Dining logistics & bar policy When we arrived around 1 p.m. on a Monday, the main restaurant was being cleaned, with no tables available and no advance notice that it would be unavailable at that time. We were seated instead in the bar/lobby area, which was not what we had planned after traveling and expecting a proper lunch. In the evenings, the restaurant only served beer and wine; cocktails required going to the bar counter in person, and a Negroni requested one night was ultimately not available. Their cocktail selection is in fact quite limited. Communication & WhatsApp usage Guests are provided with a WhatsApp number described as being for “any” questions, which gives the impression of direct access to the front desk. When I used it to report a room issue, the reply explained that this channel is actually for Reservations and advised me to call the front desk instead, which felt inconsistent with how it had been presented (although they did still assist). Room condition & maintenance Of the two rooms booked, one had a noticeable odor that persisted throughout the stay. The in-room safe in that same room did not function properly; maintenance reset it and it worked briefly, but the error returned within a few minutes, so I ended up using the safe in the other room. Noise & atmosphere Although the property is located about 15 minutes from the city center and is positioned as a relaxing getaway, music from nearby (outside the hotel) could be heard clearly from the pool area on multiple occasions. This clashed with the quiet resort feel at times. Pullman Luang Prabang was previously one of my preferred options in LP, but this stay felt less consistent and polished compared to earlier visits.

Wonderful place, perfect staff that helps you every way they can and nice calm location. I liked their shuttle service that take you to downtown . I highly recommend this place.
