The hotel is quite dated. There is no option to open the window so no fresh air in the room. Air conditioning in the room is quite noisy so we had to turn it off for night. The sockets are quite old I would say with the strange noise when used, instead USB worked better. Bathroom is quite old the shower was partially broken. It was okay for one night stay.

Interesting stay! I wasn't sure about the girl on reception as she didn't give me my suitcase at first, when I collected my bags. However, I just remembered I saw a ticket on the floor so she must have dropped it and I didn't realise it was mine! 😂 Sorry. My room key and TV had minor issues on my second night and the lift is a bit rickety. However, overall a pleasant stay for the price: decent location, clean, compact and cute room and okay breakfast (in a beautifully decorated little room with attentive staff). In fact the staff were all great really and are polite. So, I recommend. Thank you.

Due to the rail strikes we decided to travel to London the day before we were due to be having a romantic getaway, I couldnt book an extra night in our hotel because it wasnt available, so I booked 1 night here. On arrival we received an upgrade to the Lily Langtree suite which was a huge surprise as we've never experienced that before , as it was our 25th wedding anniversary it was a wonderful experience. The suite was extraordinarily spacious, with the bathroom being bigger than our living room at home! The four poster bed in a commanding place in the bedroom all looked amazing, however, there were a couple of issues. In the room were two balcony doors, looking out the balcony looked in poor condition, on the right side the balcony doors wouldn't close so you can hear all the noise from the street , i would imagine when its extremely cold this would be rather unpleasant. . The bathroom, although on first look it was superb, we were looking forward to having a bath later, when we got around to it, the water pressure was very very poor, it took 20 mins to just get a couple of inches of water in the bottom of it and it was only luke warm, the shower on the other hand was excellent, hot and great pressure. The breakfast was really nice but the dining room was a little cramped , however, they were busy. The staff we encountered were nice , friendly and very attentive, really enjoyed staying there, however, I wouldnt pay the £500 per night asked for the Lily Langtree suite.

Very good Hostel when travelling through London. Siissi the wonderful manager runs an efficient professional team.of friendly helpful staff. Good hospitality, clean, happy to assist . Spacious with secure lockers in the rooms. Nice atmosphere creative artistic crew . The Astor Hostels I highly recommend for safe secure pleasant stay when travel on a budget for short stays. The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

We had a lovely stay at St Giles, London. Well located hotel, near to Tottenham Court Road Station, bus stops, supermarkets, shops, eateries, theatres etc. From Heathrow Airport, we took the Elizabeth line to Tottenham Court Road Station and hotel was just a short walk away. The British museum was also nearby. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. As we arrived rather early, Nikki helped us to secure a room earlier than official check in time, so that we can put our luggages and rest. The concierge guys were great, giving advice on how best to get to our destination. The Chinese gentleman, sorry, I didn't get his name, even helped me with my Bolt app bookings! We booked 2 new twin rooms. Although they were small, they were sufficient for 2 pax in each room. All amenities that we needed were available and rooms were cleaned thoroughly when we returned from our sightseeing. There was no air conditioner in the rooms but weather was great, so we had no issues. The breakfast served was excellent, with a wide variety. Good choice for our short stay in London.

This is my second time booking The Royal National Hotel. Located a stone’s throw from Russell Square. The room turned out to be smaller than previous booking, though I had booked the Twin Plus room which costs more.

I used to use this hostel back when it was under YHA management. I’ve always picked it for its close proximity to Euston and King’s Cross. This is the first time I’ve been back since it changed hands. Glad to report that the hostel is still as it was. Polite and helpful staff, modern rooms with beds that have individual lights and charging sockets, lockers for valuables, clean and well kept bathrooms, a bar area downstairs to eat and have drinks if you desire. I stayed in a 6-bed female only dorm and was happy with my stay. Bed was comfortable, my items were safe (locks can be purchased behind the reception for £4), and the sockets can charge multiple devices with the dual USB sockets + a regular 3-pronged socket. Will advise that you turn the main room light off when you want go to sleep as my co-inhibitors left the main light on all night on my last night for some reason. The one area they could improve on was having another pillow on the beds. Mine was so used that it was mostly flat and made very little difference to my comfort.

We arrived and parking was good and nearby. As a disabled blue badge holder, there was a good amount of disabled bays and it was free when I presented my blue badge at reception. Check in was quick and efficient. Only one of the two lifts was working, but the hotel didn’t seem too busy so this wasn’t a problem. We had a room for 2 adults and a child, so a double bed and a bunk bed. The room was small, but we only needed it to sleep and so it wasn’t a problem. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t good. The floor was so filthy, that we just threw our socks away because of how black they were. The mattress on the single bunk bed was absolutely disgusting. I have attached photos. The sheet was just a piece of material folded in half, and wasn’t tucked in or anything which is how we noticed the dirty mattress. It was late when we noticed it, so I sent photos and an email to reception, who immediately offered us breakfast free of charge. We declined the breakfast as we already had reservations elsewhere, and we saw that breakfast was very poor with little on offer. The manager then replied and refunded our stay and cleaned the room. The management/reception team were lovely and sorted things swiftly. We would stay again and have stayed in many Ibis hotels, but I will be checking the cleanliness of them closely in future.

This was by far my favorite hotel in London! Great location with amazing views and Tesco is just 2 minutes walk away! It’s super convenient and clean! Front desk staff are super helpful and friendly especially Saim!!! She’s always smiling and ever ready to assist you with whatsoever you need! I’ll definitely be back ! Stayed for 2 weeks and annoyed every bit of it!!!!!!!!
