Banyan Tree Hotels in Lijiang

Service was excellent, 5/5. We arrived after dark, and our butler, ELin, was incredibly responsible. She added us on WeChat and was always quick to resolve any issues. The next day, she even arranged a spa treatment for me – very thoughtful service. The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of dishes, and the rice noodles were particularly good. The view outside the restaurant was beautiful, and there were quite a few international guests dining there. Banyan Tree has been open for many years, so the facilities are a little dated, but everything else was impeccable. Before coming here, I looked at several guesthouses priced over a thousand [local currency], but I still chose a big international hotel brand; it just felt more reliable.
