Overall the stay was pretty good. We got a decent rate.
One of it's best features about this place is its location, it's prime location. We were in the Poolside King suite, which was spacious and clean (although we did find someones else's vape in the couch - gross). There were no in-room safes, which could be a deal-breaker for players. I was unpleasantly surprised.
But the place felt reasonably secure. I did see a homeless person minding their won business in the parking lot while I waited for an uber, but I never felt unsafe.
The pool looked lovely and I was surprised to see that it was closed by the county or something? In any case, it was winter and that pool isn't heated, so whatever.
My only other gripe with this hotel is that there are no black out curtains and the cops seem to target their parking lot for violations. I witnessed 6-8 cars being ticked in the parking lot across the street at the Oasis at Goldspike. I'd avoid parking on site here based on what happened to my friend when he stoped by. Back to the blackout curtains or lack-there-of... I read other reviews that said that there was noise from the club, but that was not an issue for us at all. (The hotel was very nice to give us ear plugs just in case.) The light in the room every morning killed my sleep.
I'd give it a 7/10 overall.
