Buyer Beware, this property is 1.5 hrs away from the airport. They dont mention this in thier ad. The ad also deceptively implies transportation is included, its not! Thats a $150 ride, one way. This is a completely new area being developed. There is nothing else there..They call this adults only, what they mean is geriatrics. They target people 55 plus to get them to buy time share/real estate. The resort itself is decent except for a few of the nasty staff. However, you are on the Atlantic coast not the Caribbean coast.The sand nor the water is as nice as it is in Punta Cana

Bahia Principe is an excellent experience but it depends where you are. My first stay was at Esmeralda in Punta Cana which was incredible. This time i stayed at Bouganville La Romana and i must say i was not the happiest being there. The staff is wonderful i must say. But the adults only is slightly wierd. I expected there to be much more to do like in Punta Cana. La Romana is small has two lobbies a few pools and a beach. Very little to actually do on the resort if you are there a few days. There are no walk out rooms with pool if you are expecting that. The rooms at the resorts contain a very strong mouldy scent that can be promlematic for people with asthama. 24 hour room service has limitations to what can be ordered to the room it wont be meals at the buffet. Majority of the clientel at this resort seemed to be seniors. Very few young adults if you care for that. Disco as you can imagine had a very dull vibe due to that. Adult only means that there are close to no young people there. Again the staff is always incredible at Bahia always but the resort could have been a better experience for the money put out. Food is always great however lesser options available than other Bahia resorts. If you are putting out money better to stay in Pubta Cana then the quieter ones further out. Hope this helps make your decision easier.

Beautiful grounds, pools and rooms. Staff was courteous, kind and well trained. Beach was beautiful. Ocean water is not Caribbean blue.

I enjoyed being able to after arriving, set up excursions at the resort.
Was able to set up dinner reservations at all but one of the restaurants after arriving as well. The lunch and dinner buffets are good to great, but the food can be cold to warm unfortunately.
The pools are beautiful! Like that the 2 are separated for loudness purposes.
Staff is fantastic! Can’t say enough about how well you are treated while you are there!!

The staff was amazing. Versace and Nutella made things so much fun. Marlenie at Don Pablo’s and Surari at the steakhouse were incredible. Such a beautiful place and fabulous people.

Beautiful resort, staff was always helpful, courteous, they do a great job. Beach area very nice but not much of a beach as compared to other resorts in the DR. TV was limited in variety for english visitors. Restaurants were good, we only visited the buffets which were included.
