The hotel location is perfect for a leisure trip, as it's ＜5 mins from the emerald/green lake (翠湖), which itself is within walking distance of several attractions in Kunming. The service at the hotel is outstanding, with the staff forthcoming in providing advices and fulfilling our requests from bedguards to extra water bottle. Shout out to xiaozhi (小智）and xiaozhu (小朱), who always greeted us with a warm smile and gave us some local snacks to try! The room was the best part of the experience, very high quality furnishings and a chic atmosphere, with panoramic view of the city to boot. Will definitely recommend friends and families to stay here if they find themselves in Kunming!

Room was clean and tidy. Not too big, but still comfortable to stay in. There are 2 sides to the room, 1 bed nearer to the first part of the room near the lobby door (Aircon ventilation does not blow towards this direction) and 2 beds nearer to the bathroom side of the room. The room's windows were later discovered to be strangely left ajar when we started detecting stench of cigarette smoke coming in from these windows. Potential guests,do take note to check for any ajar windows when you check into the room and close them promptly if you cannot withstand cig smoke like us. The stench stayed around at the side of the room with no aircon vent. Hotel staff, pls also do remember to close the windows after servicing / cleaning the rooms.

We really like this hotel, excellent hotel & excellent staffs. the staffs were really helpful, and very nice. They gave free upgrades to our room. They allowed us to keep our luggages after check out because our flight is at night and rewarded us with late check out. The location is very convenient located downtown near shopping malls & lots of halal restaurants for muslim. The metro station is just outside the hotel. The room itself was really clean and well-maintained. Definitely will stay here again in future. I’ve already recommended this hotel to my friend on my Instagram!

I booked this hotel because it is near the metro station and there is a huge mall opposite. The room is spacious, staff members are friendly and service is great. I had my dinner at the mall every evening and tried different restaurants every time. This hotel is truly international and I enjoyed a comfortable stay here.

We booked the family room, it comprises of 2 king size bed. 1 on the loft and 1 on the main floor. Room is clean, it has a humidifier (As it is very dry in kunming, it helps alot). The service crew are very friendly and helpful, the guys helped us with our luggage from the main road and the gals helped us on the check-in.
The location is near to 南强街，昆明老街 (about a 5mins walk). The breakfast is nice also. There is also free use of washing machine and dryer

The hotel is well located and allowed us to make our way within 10 mins to the Kunming train station. However we find the bed too firm for us. Didn't have breakfast at the restaurant but staff accommodated our request to pack some food for our trip early morning out of Kunming. Napping street and old Kunming old street are worth a visit. We had walked from Wen Lin street through the Jade lake to the old street. I highly recommend this walk, lovely!

booked this hotel last minute as the previous hotel was not up to standard. 欣怡 was amazing. what a thoughtful staff. novotel ought to promote her. she kindly showed us the way to the convenient store and introduced a lot of nice places for us to visit and to have our meals. you can tell that she’s not the pretentious type but someone that puts her heart and soul into what she does/enjoys. // this is one of the best novotel hotel i’ve stayed. room is SO clean. they even have kids bedroom slippers and toothbrush. everything was thoughtfully planned out. nice shower system as well. they have dyson too haha

 We enjoyed our stay at this Hot Spring hotel that came with wonderful benefits. Upon arrival, the staff is there to greet you and take your luggage to the room. The hotel is massive. Hot Springs is very large and comfortable. Lots of places for children to play and pools for them to enjoy. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Give this a four star on amenities as they did not have a crib suitable for toddlers. younger babies, yes, but not if your baby is climbing or walking, the crib will not fit. The location is good and not far from a lot of the sites of Kunming !
Overall, I would love to stay at this hotel again, and I recommend it to all travelers.

GGuest UserOverall, I like this hotel chain in general and would stay there again, both at this location and in other cities. This was not the first location for this chain that I have stayed at.
Location: The hotel is located in a fairly central location. It is very close to Green Lake, though you'll need a map in order to know that. It's across the street from a KFC, 711, and Starbucks, and around the corner from a Burger King. There are also quite a few shared bikes (both electric and not) available from several different companies in front of the hotel.
Amenities: Breakfast is available for an additional charge, and there is a laundry room. I used neither of these. The hotel room has a refrigerator and more than the standard two bottles of drinking water plus an electric kettle, tea set, two packets of tea, and some candy in a dish (that looked like it had been there for a very long time). This hotel chain is generally very good about giving you more water if you ask. The bed is very comfortable, the tv is huge, the shower is hot with good water pressure, and the room is clean overall. There were ink stains on the sofa, but no problems with the bedding. Some of the furniture/walls were starting to be in need of repair, but it's not a problem unless you're super picky.
Safety/Service: The front desk staff are always very nice and helpful and willing to answer any questions that you have, but you'll need to speak Mandarin or have a translator handy. English is limited or non-existent. I felt safe in my room, and I didn't worry about leaving things in my room that I generally keep on my person in other hotels. The maid was also very kind and helped me when I saw her in the hallway and asked for help with a small problem (that was totally just my ignorance and too embarrassing to mention!).
WIFI: Wifi is available, but there is no information about the network or password in the room that I could find. I went down to the front desk and the woman there put the password on my phone for me.
Quiet: Well, there were some very loud and very rude guests staying in rooms near me. I don't know what the hotel's response would have been as I didn't all the front desk to complain. It definitely could have been quieter. There was no noise from outside the hotel, though.
Problems: I stayed at this hotel three nights total but two times (one night at the beginning and two nights at the end of my trip). My second room at this hotel (when I stayed for two nights), there was a blinking light inside a grate in the ceiling that can only be seen when all the lights are out. It was really bothering me, and making it difficult for me to sleep. I called the front desk at approx. 12:30 in the morning, and they didn't quite understand my problem (completely due to my sub-par Mandarin), but they sent someone to take a look. The maintenance guy who came said he knew exactly what I was talking about once I pointed upward. He didn't need me to turn off the light and show him. He said there was nothing he could do. If they turned out that light, I would have no electricity in the room. He also said that it's like that in every room. I didn't remember seeing it in the first room I had stayed in at the beginning of my trip, and I also didn't remember it from when I had stayed for three nights at a different location. Whether it really exists in every room or not is here nor there, though it ought to be obvious that a blinking light that doesn't turn off when you turn all the lights off is a bad idea, and something ought to be done). It is possible that it exists in every room but that it's not visible from the bed in every room due to the placement of that grate.

SSoo Leng TayGood hotel near the airport (5 minutes drive) for transit in Kunming. It’s new and I love the room design. There’s even a laundry room in case you need it. My only gripe is that they don’t have any restaurant servicing lunch and dinner or room service food for that matter. There are a few restaurants within walking distance but sometimes you just want to stay in your room or hotel you know? I did bump into a chambermaid who very kindly helped me order food delivery. You can do it yourself and they have robots to send the delivery up to your room. But I didn’t want to install any food app just for my one night stay.
Overall it’s still a very nice comfortable hotel which I would recommend.

SSzilviThe location is good, pick up upon arrival worked good. The room is modern and clean. The washing mashine and drier are also free and modern. The staff at the reception is also very kind and helpful. The hotel is in a huge building, but they occupe only the floors 25-26-27. This huge building has only 3 elevators and we needed always extra long time to go down or up (like 5-10 min.). Because this reason we arrived at 8:02 down to the reception and saw that the minivan left without us and we needed to call a taxi by our costs.

RRonnie WayneNice new hotel in a central location walkable to old town. The hotel is still being built and that is strange. It has a terrible entrance from the bottom floor but has only a reception area a smoking area for people dumb enough to smoke, a strange area with fake roses for photo opportunities and a free washing machines and dryers to use. The ladies at the entry area are hard workers and fun. They try hard and want 5 star reviews. To communicate use wee chat. The room is nice size and tv is great either way large projector. Bathrooms are nice and water is hot and ample. Nice robes and towels. Comfortable beds. My biggest complaint is none of the rooms are single story or flat. If you have a handicap there are steps in each room. It makes no sense at all. If the bathrooms flood so will the bedrooms. The second complaint is the cleaning staff are overworked and not trained properly. I left a toothbrush on the trim around the floor and it was still there when I arrived. My room was not cleaned 2 days because they said there was not enough time for them to finish even though I was gone most of the day. The smart toilet is not smart. It has to be adjusted to heat seat and to flush. Otherwise no bidet feature. They have a hand sprayer by toilet but it is not for your body. It’s to clean bathroom and toilet. I thought it was and got water on the floor and clothes.
The room is electronic which is nice if you speak Chinese to turn on light or air conditioning or open drapes or turn on projector. Free movies.
Coffee or hot water machine is futuristic but difficult to use. No non sugar coffee choices only tea.
Supposed to be smoke free but Chinese do not follow no smoking rules.
I would definitely return as long as prices are reasonable

MMrs Loh AA very good experience staying in the Ramada. Good proximity to a variety of local food stalls featuring their white noodles and BBQ. Kunming train station is close too.
Best surprise is we had free upgrade of not just one but both rooms. Thanks to “Yan” for being such a cheery and pleasant service staff when we checkin at 3am after our flight. Rooms were clean and have a soothing feel plus convenient services at a touch of main controls. The hotel crew also helped us with apps for food delivery, attractions and transport tips. The staff made our stay an enjoyable experience.
I will return for another stay the very next time.

GGuest UserWe are Americans from Hong Kong and traveled to Kunming for our Easter holiday. The positives of this hotel: 1. it was beautiful. The design and furnishings were very well done and the room itself was exceptionally clean. 2. The owners were so kind. We arrived way after the tea time hour, but they still provided our family with cappuccinos and fresh fruit, free of charge. Both were delicious and our children were so excited about the gourmet coffee art. 3. The mattress in the main bed area was very comfortable. Not a typical “hard” mattress like many hotels in China. Another bonus: it was actually a KING size, which we rarely see outside the US! 4. The breakfast was Chinese style and the rice noodles were delicious! The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard area to eat outside. A few items to be aware of: 1. although the hotel was in a neighborhood near the lake, the neighborhood itself was a bit strange. We could tell it was meant to be a beautiful, well-to-do neighborhood of modern villas, but more than half the neighborhood was unused and/or under construction so it wasn’t as lively feeling in the evening because it was so dark and desolate seeming. It was beautiful in the daylight though! 2. This is not a big hotel chain, just an independent boutique style hotel operating in one of these villas. 3. There are no optimal eating spots near the hotel. You have to take a 20-30 minute Didi (taxi) ride to the nearest area with a lot of restaurants. However, if you like street food, there is a street food carnival area about 10 minutes away via walking (walk north along boardwalk bordering the lake.)
Overall, because of the kindness of the owners, the cleanliness and modernity, delicious breakfast, and comfortable mattress, we would definitely choose this hotel again for a one-night stopover.

The rooms are kept tidy and clean, and they are equipped with amenities such as a TV and air conditioner. Despite any language barriers, the staff is able to communicate effectively through WeChat, which can translate both Chinese-English and English-Chinese. This level of attention to detail and convenience makes the hotel an excellent choice for travelers passing through Changshui Airport.

Yyani malaysiaTo find the hotel is quite confusing at first because of the entrance is hidden and there was a construction going on next to the hotel. But luckily we found it. The location of the hotel is actually very strategic.
Just beside the hotel is shuncheng street. So many halal stores around the hotel. Walking distance to old town kunming, Kunming mosque, night market, malls and many more. So close to wiyu subway station. So it is easy to get around.
The room itself also quite spacious, clean and nice. The view from the room is stunning. You just have to tolerate the noise from the construction nearby during the day. However at night, it is quite. The girl at the reception is very nice and helpful.
