I thought this hotel was good value for money, considering its 5 stars and location in downtown Kunming. The room was spacious and the bathroom was well appointed, with a lovely bath(with very hot water which I often find lacking) and a shower with great water pressure. The only downsides were that I found the room itself(not the bathroom) to be a bit outdated in terms of the fixtures and fittings. Also, the gentleman who checked me in wasn’t particularly friendly. He couldn’t speak English(which is not a problem at all, although I would expect it in a five star hotel) but he didn’t say a word to me throughout the entire check in process until he gave me my key. There’s much more to communication than just language and I felt his customer service skills were a bit lacking considering his position on a reception desk.

Very comfortable hotel, clean and hygienic, good service, the concierge staff will help deliver takeaways to the room, thumbs up! It is a five-star standard hotel that can achieve five-star service. The breakfast is really good, there are many varieties, and the restaurant is very bright! Overall it is still worth choosing! The only thing that makes me a little regretful is that the mangoes brought to the room by the room attendant were moldy on the skin, and they were visibly dirty, and they were not washed, right? As shown in the picture... Or don't send it. If you want to send fruit, don't send it with moldy skin, right?

The Hotel is located in the center of Kunming. Two metro lines just nearly. One line direct deserve the airport and the other one direct rich the south railway station. By foot one can go to the historical city center. We booked the suite 2026 which is very spacious with big windows, overview the city. The decoration is outdated. The bed is pretty old. Sometimes the AC doesn’t work well. Breakfast is very good. All the stuff are very helpful and friendly. Overall is not a real 5 stars hotel but the price is very fair for what you get.

We stayed there for one night. The location is great, very close to walking street and shopping malls. The breakfast line was good. However, we did not enjoy the stay since our room window was broken and cannot be locked. There is a clearly noise from the hallway eventhough our room is at the end of the hallway. The service from staffs is so-so. They did not speak English at all which was not the problem since we have translator applicaion, but at least please pretend that you willing to communicate with us.

Great location near Wuyi metro station, couple of malls with lots of eateries, and the vibrant Old Street. The hotel design and services are more traditional and reminds me of an older Marriott, but everything was in good shape and my room was comfortable and well supplied. The breakfast had an okay Chinese and Yunnanese selection.

The front desk upgraded the room, and the sanitation is pretty good. The main reason is that it is located in the city center, making it easy to visit various attractions in Kunming. The only drawback is that I was placed in a room at the end of the corridor. At night, I kept all the ghost movies I had watched in my mind. Been there again

Parking should also be parked in the mall. It is not very convenient to walk to the hotel.

Service: Due to the flight, it was already more than two o'clock in the morning when I arrived at the hotel. The front desk lady was still patiently guiding the way and receiving us. I sent Yunnan special flower cakes for check-in. The location is opposite the Bailian Building, behind the Kunbai Da parking lot, and the night rest is very quiet. The room we stayed in had windows but was blocked by billboards. If you mind this, you can confirm with the boss when booking. ～ After leaving the hotel, turn left and see the archway of Zhongai Road, and then you can enter the old street! Very good stay experience, if you come to Kunming again, you will consider it here!

The location of the hotel is not easy to find because of road construction and taxis cannot take you there. Need to get off at the street corner. The hotel is in a community and is fairly convenient to enter and exit. It is on the 27th-29th floors. The room is large, the facilities are a bit old, and the breakfast is not very good. Overall it's a good deal

What a lovely hotel this is. Located in a beautifully restored historic building in a tourist area that is very popular with people taking photos outside. It is located very close to Line 3 metro (10-minute walk at most) which make it convenient for getting to/from the airport, train station, and Western Hills. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly man who gave us a refreshing cool floral drink whilst he checked us in. His English was really good, which was great as we do not speak Chinese. We were shown to our room (Number 5) which was just so nice – large, clean, beautifully decorated, with the most comfortable bed & pillows. The shower was amazing, in fact, I wanted to move in immediately! I was a little concerned when I booked about the fact there is no air conditioning, but I didn’t have to worry. There was a large, powerful ceiling fan and all the windows open (with mosquito screens to keep the nasty creatures out!) to allow the refreshing breeze in. Much nicer than AC, in my opinion. We did not have the breakfast so I can not comment. But every evening, someone came to the room and left us a flask of tea with a small note describing the ingredients and how it would soothe and unwind us. These little touches really made the stay perfect. We were returning to Kunming for one night at the end of our trip, and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel so much, I rebooked for our final night. I would highly recommend and will DEFINITELY stay here again if I return to Kunming

A big part of a good holiday experience is the hotel you stay in. This is one of the best hotels we have experienced whilst travelling through Yunnan. From the customer relations girls at reception to the cleaning ladies, Mengjin group staff excels in providing warm, friendly service to all their guests. Location is perfect for first time visitors to Kunming, you get to experience the old and the new just a short walk away. The hotel has exceptional standards with quality furnishings and bedding. Rooms are well appointed, the bed is comfortable and the soundproofing is fantastic. Breakfast is a limited choice of noodles but it is sumptuous and fulfilling. I especially like the coffee machine where you can get unlimited quality coffee anytime you want. We stayed at Moon Shine when we arrived and at this hotel Moon Shy before departing. Will definitely look out for this group's other outlets and will definitely stay here again! Thank you to the service staff for being so helpful, kind and caring. Special mention to housekeeping auntie who washed my socks ❤️. No 6 star hotel will ever give you that warmth.
