Dianchi Liangpin Designer Hostel (Kunming Park 1903)

I was traveling for business and flight only landed at 1am. Prior to my leaving the hotel contacted me and helped me get to the location by communicating with the taxi driver. I was surprised by then going communication as I have never experienced this before and it helped me by relieving the stress of communication I. Chinese as I am an English speaker. The person who kept in contact with me spoke English fluently and was extremely helpful.the location was very convenient and the surrounding setting is beautiful. The reason I gave three stars for the amenities is because the breakfast was very traditional Chinese, steamed bread with watery rice. And no coffee or tea. There was no restaurant or food service available from the hotel. However I gave it 5 stars for location, service and cleanliness because regardless of lacking food and beverage the 1903 mall is a 6 min walk and has many restaurants and places to get coffee and a good western style breakfast. The room was spacious with a private bathroom, very clean. The Aunty that helped me couldn’t speak English but she was very caring and sweet. Overall, I would recommend it as the prices I good for the area, it’s the upperclass side of Kunming , there are many cultural sites near that area and international restaurants. Many people who work and are I service can speak English and it’s a beautiful area to go for walks and explore.
