Breakfast is also no problem at the normal business hotel level.

We stayed overnight. Check-in was over 24 o'clock, but the receptionist man kindly responded. I wanted to go to the convenience store, but I was told it would take about 10 minutes on foot, but I abandoned it because there were few street lights around. The room was beautiful.

After a 2.5 weeks trip, I can now say that this was by far the best hotel I have been in, and the best meal. The location (5 minutes from the superb garden I wanted to see, plus as a hotel guest you get in for free) is great. The air con was perfect, not too intrusive yet during the heat wave it felt just right. And the food! With a view from the roof tops as you feast. The staff was also lovely and friendly, the bathroom kitted out with all the mod cons a westerner would like. I cannot recommend it enough.

Hotel location in the alleys The first time I went to Kumamoto, it was estimated that it was not easy to find. The room was not big. The bed was tatami-style. The hot water bottle was dirty. But the restaurant on the first floor is really seven of the most cost-effective sashimi 990 yen equivalent to 60 yuan. The country can only eat four or five sashimi. The front desk and the restaurant waiter are super friendly. I can't eat ice, morning service. Health specially gave me hot milk

Although it took a lot of setbacks to find this homestay (I thought it was a hotel 🏨) (Ctrip's name is not accurate at all, depressed 😒), but you can’t say that I would choose a place to live [呲牙], if not outside It’s dark, I can’t take pictures, otherwise the effect would be better: next to a small river, coming in is a small garden, very quiet, the room is an ensuite, everything is there, I will come back to the hot spring after eating delicious food in the evening. ♨️, have a good night’s sleep, and you will have a good walk around tomorrow morning[悠闲][悠闲]

First of all, become aquainted with the idea of ”business hotel”. This is a place to sleep, not to chill in the room. Sleeping areas are smaller than American by a lot. Ours was a mattress on the floor (better than a futon!!) .Bathrooms are also tiny, but very serviceable. Space for luggage is ”creative”. That said, this is a fantastic business hotel. Our room was clean and bright, with a view of Suizenji Park out the window. The bathroom, though small, had a tub which my wife was overjoyed about (last place didnt have one). Staff does not speak much English, but they bent over backwards trying to help us figure out the AC control. There are onsite washers and dryers along with free wifi. The breakfast was to die for. Typical Japanese cuisine and lots of it. All of it freshly prepared. Well worth the additional cost to the room. Which brings me to the cost. This hotel is priced right. If you are looking for a place to lay your head while exploring Kumamoto and really don't need all the ”extras”, this is your place.

There is a dedicated car park and the breakfast is good. The restaurant is equivalent to an event room with free homemade shaved ice. Some books can be browsed, and there are three automatic massage chairs for relaxing. The bus stop is at the entrance, and there is a direct bus to the airport opposite the station. Both the airport and Mount Aso are particularly convenient. The tram is also in front of the hotel. Behind the hotel is a wetland park and river at the water outlet. The water is clear.

I don't write reviews well, but I'm not really writing to compliment the hotel, but to the staff. First of all, Korean staff, male, female, kind and thankful. I don't know the location early in the morning so a Japanese woman will take me there (about 5-10 minutes on foot). And 15 minutes later, I came back and said that I was worried. Thank you very much. Conversation is because I'm not good at Japanese, so I mainly used translator to talk. It's easy to see the angel once again .. Thank you so much. But I don't think I'll go to Kumamoto anymore ... It is a hotel close to Kumamoto prefectural office. It is a little far from downtown, so it is not within walking distance from the station, but in front of Kumamoto prefectural office, about ５ minutes walk, high-speed buses and limited Express buses from various parts of Kyushu stop. The airport limousine bus also stops, so I think it is accessible when you come by bus. Of course, there is also a parking lot, so I think it is good to come by private cars or rental cars. In addition, when going to the downtown area, the bus can be used from the Tersa Mae bus stop of Kumamoto City bus if only the time is available, and there are many buses from the prefectural office Mae bus stop, so I didn't feel bitter about access. The room was renewed since I stayed before, and the unit bus was especially clean. There is also a sofa in the single room and it is made up of a large size. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the number of rooms was small, so it was Sunday, but it was not crowded and I was able to relax.

10 minutes walk to Sakura Machi Kumamoto and 20 minutes walk to Kumamoto Castle. 5 minutes to 7-Eleven. It is a convenient location for those who are not bitter to walk. The first parking lot is flat next door, and the second and third are small but nearby. The car keys will be left at the front desk. The room key is only one that hangs on an old-fashioned stick. It was inconvenient to leave it every time I went out. The twin room was not so large, but the windows open are appreciated by smokers. There was no air purifier and there was no guide to renting. There is a refrigerator, but there is no safety box. The closet has no door, so I hung it on the bathroom so that it wouldn't smell. The bath / toilet room is small, but there is an artificial hot spring bath on the 3rd floor (16: 00-25: 00, 6:00-9:00). The dressing room was reasonably large and was a locker with a key. There are 5 washrooms, and the bathtub is horizontal and not so large. There is no sauna. Nightwear is a cover type, only rooms and large communal baths are available, and not available in restaurants. There was a vending machine on the 3rd floor, and there were beer, shochu, cup noodles and knobs. There is also a microwave oven and ice machine in this space. The coin laundry is a separate room for men and women, the washing machine costs 300 yen up to 7Kg and the dryer costs 100 yen for 30 minutes. Breakfast is a buffet at the restaurant on the 9th floor of the top floor (6:30-10:00). You can enjoy local dishes such as spicy lotus root and horse meat curry. There are also a variety of normal dishes. It costs 1,100 yen when paying separately, but considering the content, I felt that it was exceptionally cheap at this time. For dinner, I booked an izakaya ”Shokusai Shuan”, which can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. Spicy lotus root, horse sashimi, Kumamoto sake, Kumamoto shochu, etc. were all delicious. There are only 4 tables and it seems to be popular with local customers, so it is better to make a reservation.

A very nice, modern hotel in the heart of the Kumamoto shopping district - very convenient location, right at the cross section of the two major covered shopping thoroughfares. Check-in only at 3pm and is an automated check-in/check-out system. Staff are very helpful and friendly. At check-in, you are free to choose your amenities from a very wide selection, including bath salts, face cleanser, moisturizer, coffee, green tea, etc. There is a giant tv in the room. No bottled water is provided. The room offers a full robe (short yukata and pants!). The rooms itself are very modern and renovated. There are two Family Marts and a 7-11 within a block of the hotel, as well as many dining and retail options within short walking distance. It is about a 15 minute walk to Kumamoto Castle and a 30 minute walk to Kumamoto Station.

We stayed at the GR Hotel for one night while in Kumamoto. I would say it was an average stay, nothing really stood out but we were satisfied with our stay. The check in and out process was easy.
