A very nice, modern hotel in the heart of the Kumamoto shopping district - very convenient location, right at the cross section of the two major covered shopping thoroughfares. Check-in only at 3pm and is an automated check-in/check-out system. Staff are very helpful and friendly. At check-in, you are free to choose your amenities from a very wide selection, including bath salts, face cleanser, moisturizer, coffee, green tea, etc. There is a giant tv in the room. No bottled water is provided. The room offers a full robe (short yukata and pants!). The rooms itself are very modern and renovated. There are two Family Marts and a 7-11 within a block of the hotel, as well as many dining and retail options within short walking distance. It is about a 15 minute walk to Kumamoto Castle and a 30 minute walk to Kumamoto Station.

The room was large and stayed with 4 families, but the cospa is too good. During the Obon festival, it was crowded and some of the front desk staff were not accustomed to the beginner mark, so there was a part that was not explained enough. Stayed in a room with an open-air bath. The room was clean and easy to spend. There is a tatami mats, so you can go go go. The bed is a bit hard, but it is not difficult to sleep. The open-air bath can hear the sound of the car because it is all over the city, but there is a cherry blossom and it is not visible from the surroundings, and the curtain for completely blocking is also installed, so if you are concerned, you can use it. The water was clean and easy to use. The outlet is hardly close to the floor, under the TV, under the bed, the bathroom and the air cleaner. If the charging cable is short, the tablet will be charged at the bed. If the charging cable is long, you can extend it from the TV and put the tablet on the tatami mats to charge. It was because it was a room near the coin laundry on the 3 floor, and I heard the sound of the washing machine. However, I was able to spend it without worrying about it. It is also convenient that the next door is seven eleven. I didn't use breakfast buffet because of corona. We took Highway Bus (2.5hr) from Fukuoka Airport to Kumamoto Sakuramachi Bus Terminal. Koko Hotel is directly connected to the bus terminal. Hotel was opened in June 2022 and there were now clear signages to Koko Hotel as we alighted from the bus. We took escalator to the 2F and take the lift to the 14F where the Hotel lobby is. From the lobby, we get a clear view of Kumamoto Castle. Our Superior Twin Room is very spacious and comfortable. We paid Y32,310 for 2 nights. It is 10 mins walk to the Castle, and 10 mins taxi ride to Kumamoto Station. Amu Plaza next to Kumamoto Station has plenty of eateries. Sakuramachi has Family Mart, restaurants and shops.
