Hotels near Sultan Mahmud Airport, Kuala Terengganu

location of the hotel is outside the city center. Difficult for those who don’t have a car. However, it is easy to get a grab. Just wait for 5 minutes to get a grab. The breakfast is super good. Stayed there for 3 days, and the main dishes is changers every day. Nice and cosy place. During the stay, need to check in at the temporary office because under construction. The room is big but need to improve the condition of the room. Overall, if you intend for relaxing, this is the place.

The hotel staff called me on the morning of check-in date to remind me of my booking and to confirm my check-in time. There’s a touch of attentiveness in this gesture. The family room is value for money for two nights’ stay in a strategic location (near Kuala Terengganu Chinatown). The hotel does not have its own car park; parking is the public parking bays along the street (daily rates are applicable but we didn’t have to pay because our stay was during the public holidays and the weekend). Our request for four single beds was fulfilled. Overall, we had a comfortable stay in this hotel. Just a bit of advice for future guests: There’s no elevator service in the building. Hence, please do not rate this hotel badly because of this fact. This hotel is near a mosque/ surau, so morning prayers can be heard clearly. Whilst this does not bother my family (this is after all rather common in Malaysia), light sleepers should take note. Again, please do not rate this hotel badly because of the morning prayers being heard.

Looking through the reviews here, there are no recent ones. Things have deteriorated much since I first stayed here in 2019. Back then, service was friendly, room was nice and clean, aircon was functioning like it should. Perhaps blame it on covid restrictions past 2 years. Blame it on low cash flow to do maintenance. Blame it on lack of motivated staff. Truth is, this hotel’s standard has gone down. Broken, poor maintained room, unmotivated & deary staff working, moldy & poorly cleaned bathroom.. I can go on but you can probably get the picture. Pity, it was great back in 2019 but I won’t be returning.

The facilities and services are not satisfactory...remote AC does not work well and the advice is self-service From check in and check out...the breakfast is good, there is a self-service laundry nearby...the picture does not correspond to the hotel, yes

i had a great experience during my stay there. The rooms are very classy with all the facilities to fulfil our needs. The food served there is very delicious.

Bilik overall okey but smell carpet and room like old…my suggestion to spray with air refresher or put the air refresher…tq

The hotel is very new! It’s a very good hotel in Terengganu! There is a coffee shop and a newly opened Thai restaurant across from the hotel downstairs. There is a Chinese restaurant on the right when you go out.

The room is comfortable..satisfied..but if you take the toilet outside, the toilet is a bit far away..I am most satisfied because it is close to the city😍 if you want something on a budget, just for sleeping, I really recommend it..the price is cheap☺️ thank you

Location, room comfort, hotel condition I chose the Hotel Felda Residence for its location.my late check-in and overnight stay was a very pleasant experience: comfortable bed and pillows, courteous and helpful staff, clean and generous sized room, plus professional service, efficiency and tranquility for business travel. With no presence of 5 star hotels in Kuala Terengganu, I had to find the best alternative. I was lucky to find Valya Hotel, situated in an area called Gong Badak. If you are having a hard time finding the perfect hotel, I think your search should end with this hotel. Look, I am someone who values good quality and top rated hotels for a comfortable stay. This hotel has many of the things I was looking for: - Free WiFi - Elevator - Close to shops, eateries, convenience stores (e.g. Jakel, Mydin, Watsons, 7-11, pharmacy etc) - Close to airport (less than 10 minutes) - Basic bath amenities and in-room slippers provided (towels, toothbrush are available) - Strong rain shower pressure, proper bidet These factors would suffice to ensure a comfortable and relaxing experience. The price point is extremely affordable. I booked a Superior Triple room with window. Although there is no ”view” from the window, you can still have some light shining through, for a less claustrophobic environment. Other things that were missing, but acceptable at the price you are paying: - No breakfast - No in-room safe - No dedicated parking space for hotel guests (more on this below) - No view from window (as mentioned) My main gripe will be parking, as mentioned by other guests who reviewed this property as well. As there are many shophouses, you should expect a chaotic and congested area full of vehicles during the day. Parking is chargeable at RM0.60 per hour, and you can pay for parking at the various stations around the parking lot, with some not functioning at all. It is a challenge to find space close to the hotel, and you will end up having to move your car closer to your hotel when the congestion clears up in the evening. Another plus staying here will be a self service laundromat on the other side of the row of shophouses. Overall, Valya Hotel is a perfect hotel for a comfortable stay in Terengganu. You can reach the city centre in mere minutes, and the airport is within close proximity. Highly recommended!
