Pavilion Embassy Suites KL

We booked here to stay for a month for a holiday and to see our friends and family. Great location. Convenient with a supermarket, cafe, and a restaurant on the ground floor. My main issue is one of the security guards keep treating my family with contempt. Despite confirming I have booked to stay in this building with 2 parking bays allocated, he continued to threat with fine of RM200. This is only applicable if we park in the wrong space, but I explained we have our own parking bays! On some occasions, my own access pass for the car park auto gate failed to work - the same guard refused entry until I gave a length explanation. When I went to explain that I have booked to stay here and to just please let me and family in (my mother is nearly 70 and had to endure his interrogation) - his tone became aggressive. It is incredibly exhausting having to do this each time, especially as we have travelled from far, with a small child and paid a premium for this accommodation. Whilst I understand the need for security, it is not ok to make the residents’ lives more difficult as such. It’s very disappointing and caused myself and my young son a great deal of stress.

The room was very clean, the project leader was serious and very nice, he was like half a tour guide! Very patient in solving all problems and has super strong working ability. The room is especially suitable for family travel and is very close to the city center. There is a supermarket directly downstairs, and the room has a refrigerator, washing machine, and kettle.

More about Kuala Lumpur

All About Kuala Lumpur

Say hello to Kuala Lumpur, a dazzling city that sits at the heart of Malaysia, both geographically and culturally. It's not just the capital city but the epitome of Malaysia's rapid urban development and rich heritage. Kuala Lumpur, or "KL" as locals call it, is more than just steel-clad skyscrapers and luxury shopping malls; it's a vibrant melting pot of diverse cultures, gastronomic delights, and hidden gems waiting to be explored. Did you know that Kuala Lumpur translates to "Muddy Confluence" in Malay, referring to the spot where the Klang and Gombak rivers merge?

Kuala Lumpur Travel Essentials

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is your main entry point, boasting top-notch facilities and an efficient Express Rail Link (ERL) service that takes you straight to the city centre. For moving around the city, KL's public transportation is commendable with MRTs, LRTs, and taxis available at your convenience.

The city primarily uses the Malaysian Ringgit for transactions, and credit cards are widely accepted. While Bahasa Malaysia is the national language, English is commonly spoken in business and tourist areas, making it easy for international travellers.

As for visa requirements, always check the latest information with your local Malaysian embassy or consulate. Generally, nationals from various countries are allowed to enter Malaysia without a visa for tourism purposes.

Exploring Kuala Lumpur's Top Attractions

The iconic Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world, is an absolute must-see. For history enthusiasts, Merdeka Square and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building paint a vivid picture of Malaysia's past. Nature lovers will enjoy the lush Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, while food aficionados should not miss Jalan Alor, a bustling food street boasting a wide array of local dishes.

Navigating Kuala Lumpur's Weather

Kuala Lumpur enjoys a tropical rainforest climate, where sunshine and showers can happen in the same day. Temperatures in KL usually range from 22°C to 33°C. While the city is ideal to visit year-round, the best times are from May to July and December to February when rainfall is minimal. It's advisable to pack lightweight clothing, a raincoat or umbrella, and comfortable shoes for city exploration.
