Phi Phi Long Beach Resort & Villa-Sha Extra Plus

Phi Phi Islands|0.46km from wood figure
Firstly the location, the hotel is directly on a beautiful ***** of beach with snorkelling opportunities literally metres into the water. The views of the islands etc are stunning and Ton Sai pier is a very short taxi boat (100B per person Vs the hotel 1,200B per trip) and is a vibrant and buzzing little pedestrian town. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't live up to the environment. It has so much potential but just appears to be run down, neglected and uncared for. Everywhere you look there are endless maintenance jobs that need doing. Worth noting that there is nothing that directly impacts your stay but it just gives the impression of not caring. Broken fences, fascia boards hanging off, every wall or wooden structure needs repainting, what looks like a construction site on one side and a dumping ground on the other. Non-functioning fountains, overgrown gardens, and some villas that look condemned. There seems to be plenty of staff but they just seem to have no one managing them and they were continuously on their phones. I've seen reviews stating the staff were rude and my personal impression is that they are not but they don't speak English very well and this could be misconstrued as rude or not caring. There is a restaurant onsite and even though breakfast is included after day 2 we preferred to pay to eat at one of the neighbouring hotels. Goes without saying that we also ate every other meal at the other hotels. Interestingly even though breakfast is 7am to 10am they have a sign-up inferring that they really want you there between 8 and 9! Would I stay here again? Yes, but not in its current state, the rooms were generous sizes, tidy and everything worked and to its credit, the prices were reflective of the standard of the hotel.

Ton Sai Bay
This hotel is located at the southern tip of Ko Phi Phi Don. After the ferry arrives at the pier, you need to take a water bus to reach it. It takes more than 40 minutes by land. The hotel is an independent villa type. The rooms are large and clean. It is right next to the beach. Most rooms on the terrace can see the sea. The surrounding environment is very quiet. The beach is very long, but the beach that can go to the sea is not very long. Very comfortable, it's all integrated with the hotel. The hotel has its own restaurant, there are still many choices of food and drinks, and the price is moderate. It is not very expensive. The hotel is mostly European and American, and there are many Russians. It is a holiday. Good place to relax. The service was good and standard. Is the poor network, there is wifi in the hotel lobby, wifi in some places on the beach, I have almost no wifi in the room, domestic mobile wifi has no signal, I hope the hotel can improve facilities in this area. I still like this hotel very much, I will stay there if I have the chance, and will recommend it to friends!

Upon arrival at Phi Phi Island Pier, there will be staff picking us up to the hotel. There is no car on the Phi Phi Island. This hotel is not close to the pier. To get to the pier to rent a taxi, 100 baht is a person, we 6 people choose first along On the mountain road, I went to the semi-dead and walked for half an hour to the pier to go shopping for an afternoon to buy a good dry food 500 baht to rent a boat back to the hotel. The next day I bought a 6-hour round-the-island tour at the hotel. It is recommended to take 3 hours around the island. After sitting on the wooden boat for a long time, the hotel will be dizzy, the hotel is very beautiful. When we went to the hotel, we sent us 2 days for breakfast (we stayed 2 nights). There are also 2 restaurants nearby to solve the problem. The door is super sea view, and there are many sands. Coral, stinging

We stayed from 29th January to 2nd February 2023. It's a lovely resort, and our oceanfront room no.102 was superb. The resort is well maintained, and services were very good. The rooms are also very nice with all facilities.Location is excellent with beautiful beach and blue ocean always in front of your eyes.Restaurant is nice and foods were of good variety and tastes. However, the breakfast(included in the tariff) spreads were basic and not very great. Staff were very courteous and helpful. They serve only two bottles of drinking water per day, and it is better to carry the water from the pier while going there. The resort is only accessible by long boat from Pier with a travel time of about 10mins.and each travel one way costs 100 Bath during daytime and 150 in the night. And night boat ride may not be suitable always particularly if the weather is not good. Otherwise, the resort is an excellent place to just relax and enjoy. There is no swimming pool either in this resort.

Hotel is on the beach with beautiful view and amazing sea. Service in the restaurant and food is very good, breakfast is nice. Our room was on the top, so each time need to have long walk up on steep slopes and down which is not so easy and pleasant. Would be nice to have beach towel service near the beach and not to bring it each time with you from the room which is not so close. Can take boat excursion to monkey beach, Maya bay and snorkel.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel staff were all amazing and very helpful. They collected us from the pier with our bags and carried them directly to the room, and the same leaving the island. The hotel is all individual tree top cabins. This can be a hike/long walk up a hill to the room depending on which one you stay in. The hotel is located on the beach with a private beach which is lovely. You can walk across the beach for 3 minutes to the main path around Phi Phi. 5 minute walk from the hotel to restaurants/shops. Taking 15 minutes to walk to the pier. Or you can get a tail boat taxi directly from the hotel beach to take you around the island or day trips. The hotel’s breakfast was 5/10. The average buffet style breakfast. The pool bar doesn’t exist when we were there and doesn’t look like it has been open in a long time. The rooms were cleaned everyday. I would not recommend the hotel for young children or people with reduced mobility.
