This is a lovely little aparty/hotel off the beaten track, but only 5 mins walk to the sea front, first beach Aptera Beach resort. Here you will discover some beautiful soft sandy beaches & beach bars for snacks & drinks most of the day. Sunbeds and umbrellas for hire, charges range from 5 euros to 10 euros depending which beach you pick. The sea is like liquids sapphires and because its the Cretan Sea is warm after the initial dip. The hotel itself is spotless, absolutely immaculate. The rooms are large with kitchenettes & balconies. We chose ground floor sea view. At night we could hear the sea washing in and out even though its 5 min walk away. The beds are super comfy, we had a double and the mattress topper was cozy. We slept well every night, but we were also wiped out from exploring the area and far beyond. We were able to make teas & coffees with the provided kettle (we brought our own English tea bags from home and bought coffee granules and oat milk from the nearby supermarket). There is a small fridge which was ultra useful. It meant we could buy food and keep it chilled. If you fancied cooking a basic dish there is a 2 ring potable in the cupboard with saucepans, plates, cups and cutlery. The shower although a small cubicle had the perfect water pressure. The air con was powerful and there are blinds and curtains for full black out at night. You can walk up the beach/prominades all the way to Old Town Chania/Harbour/Lighthouse. We also walked beyond this and scooted around for hours in the tiny back lanes full of bars/restaurants and shops. Very interesting and exciting. Many places to eat on the waters edge at the harbour for fresh fish dishes etc, but cheaper if you head inwards a bit without too much hassling to sit at their place. The receptionist Fotini, at Sea View is the absolutely awesome, professional, friendly and full of knowledgeable information about the area, eateries and of course the organised trips and where the best beaches are. Fotini will help you with most enquiries, always let her know if you need something or something in your room isn't right, don't wait to get home and complain. She will sort something out for you almost immediately. Fabulous. They rate themselves as a 2 star, but we would up that for sure. There is a lovely very quiet pool area with sun beds, an outdoor shower and a mini snack/drinks bar if you fancy a day at the pool. We mostly spent time on trips in the White Mountains and at other beaches & every evening walking around picking our next dinner establishment. I think the pool area needs a bit of love, fairy lights etc., but it's still relaxing. It's not a big deep pool, I wouldn't dive in it. We also hired a car for 5 days of the holiday. Ask Fotini, she has great car hire contacts with really great deals if you pay cash. Also, it's best to book your organised trips to Samaria Gorge, Balos lagoon & Gramvoussa etc. through Fotini. She will sort it out for you, just

This was our second year staying at Sea View and we’ll return for definite! Mr Bitsakis and his wonderful team ensure you’ll have an amazing holiday. With modern facilities, quiet location and spotlessly clean Sea View is just a 5 minute walk to a lovely beach, 10,15,20 minutes walk to various other lovely beaches and a 30 minute walk into Chania Old Town. There are 2 supermarkets just a short walk away as well as restaurants and coffee shops. There is also a bus stop just a 5 minute walk away. Sea View offers a delicious buffet breakfast and they have a swimming pool. Housekeeping is exemplary with regular fresh towels and bedding. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Fotini the amazing receptionist - she’s a wealth of information and always so happy. We really can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

The property was in a great location, it was quiet, near lovely beaches and then just a 30 minute walk into Chania town. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and it was another plus that breakfast was included! The room itself was a good size, clean and the bed was super comfortable.

Super nice and helpful receptionist, could'nt done nothing without her! Very flexible and good staff. Hotel was near cool beaches and grocery stores. Buss was easy to use which took us to center of chania. I'd hoped that the place would been more tidy and the bathroom flooded when took a shower.

Amazing little hidden gem of a hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Although only a 2* rated hotel, the service in my option was 5*. I have given this a 4* rating due to not having much option/ variety for breakfast for vegetarians. Only a 5min walk to the beach and a bus ride into town. Would highly recommend. Special thanks to Fotini for being attentive and always willing to answer any questions.

The hotel is just amazing. We spent wonderful time with our kids. We couldn't wait to go to the breakfast every morning. Room was very nice, we had enough space for our family. Swimming pool, garden very beautiful. Perfect place for morning yoga session. We can recommend this hotel to everyone!!! Special thanks for Fotini, who was always ready to answer for our many questions:)

We were so happy with our choice here! The staff were welcoming and could not do enough to assist us - nothing was ever too much trouble. We met the owner who was a really nice, friendly man, we also met his mother who was delightful. The receptionist was above and beyond one of the nicest people I have ever met and her communication prior to our holiday was exemplary - email replies were so prompt and reassuring (our holiday had been on hold for 2 years due to covid restrictions). The hotel is about a 30 minute drive from the airport - €35 fare and the hotel were happy to arrange this for us and our driver was waiting with a placard with our name on. The hotel is modern and spotless - literally spotless - and the lovely, cheerful housekeepers came daily to clean and I lost count of our towel and bedding changes. Breakfast (included) was superb every single day. Their chef lady is creative with delicious homemade daily treats and there was a selection of fare to suit every taste bud. There were pool side snacks and drinks available to purchase throughout the day until 6pm but we did not sample them. Location wise it was ideal - the closest beach is a 5-10 minute walk away and the furthest beach we used was a 40 minute stroll away but there is a regular bus service that will drop you right beside several beaches all of which are excellent. Chania Old Town is doable on foot in a 40-50 minute stroll following the coast. (We don’t walk fast!) There are bus stops in each direction within a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel - one way to Chania Town and Platanias is the other direction. Bus tickets are cheaper if brought from the hotel €1.10 per ticket, children under 6 are free. There is a very good supermarket about a 10 minute walk away and a little mini supermarket within 5 minutes. All the local beaches have very good beach cantinas serving drinks and some serve snacks. There are several very good restaurants within walking distance - Theodossi’s in one direction and Angelos in the other direction were our two favourites if we didn’t go into Chania where you are spoilt for choice. The hotels WiFi was great, the beds super comfy and air conditioning was inclusive which was a refreshing change! There were complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer as well as a safe. The kitchen was well equipped. Most rooms have a sea view and our only little gripe was that our balcony had the air conditioning unit standing on it rather than up on the wall so it made the balcony rather cramped but apart from that every single aspect of our stay was amazing and we will definitely book here again. The hotel are also able to arrange excursions and they have an extensive brochure. They can also book tickets for The Little Fun Train which we thoroughly recommend and at €20 pp it’s really good value. We spoke to a couple whilst we were there who have stayed at Sea View twice a year, every year for 10 years! That must tell you what a lovely place it is!

This hotel is truly surprising and exceeds all of our expectations, a 2* rating but should be so more. We arrived late afternoon, and I totally forgot reception closes at 6pm but we just narrowly made it. Fontini, who is well known for her outstanding hospitality lived up to her high reputation, welcomed us and checked us in and allowed us to get to our room very quickly. From the outside, the hotel is unassuming but surrounded with some nice gardens and very close to the sea. Lift available which was a huge relief as we had some very heavy luggage. We had room 303, overlooking the gardens, the Domes Hotel and the sea which was quite beautiful. Great sized room, small kitchenette with everything you could ever need, a little clothes dryer on the balcony and a table and chairs outside and a set inside. The bed was not huge, but good quality linen and lovely pillows. Just about enough wardrobe space and a safe included. The bathroom is very bijou, definitely only suitable for one person to use to get ready at a time but shower was very powerful and lovely Korres products. The breakfast was just a dream, unlimited freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly cooked pies, Italian cut meats, yogurts, dried fruits, sweet cakes, feta, cheeses, hams the list goes on and everything is kept stocked up and is exceptionally fresh. You can take your breakfast to eat in your room or by the pool as well which was very flexible. The pool area is the jewel in the crown of the hotel, a real haven amongst the very hot and dusty region of Kato Daratso! Plenty of sun loungers, somewhere to shower, lovely pool a just the right temperature and an beautiful place to sit whilst you have some of the delicious items of the menu. The food we chose, was big and plentiful and made to a very good standard, which is quite a big statement to say as Chanià is inundated with fabulous places to eat. Cocktails were also good and we even had a bottle of complimentary wine and bottle of water for the room! Lots of beaches to walk to nearby, we enjoyed feeding the local horse in his (albeit concrete) paddock apples we bought from the nearby supermarket. Only a short hop in to Chanià town centre by car or bus….walking was a bit too far for us.

We had booked plane tickets, which meant that we would arrive at the hotel on July 10th at 3:00 a.m. Since the hotel does not operate 24/7 and check-in is only available from 3:00 p.m. each day, this was obviously not feasible. Therefore, when I made the hotel reservation, I intentionally booked an extra night so that we would have access to our room starting from July 9th at 3:00 p.m. To avoid a situation where we couldn't get into the hotel at night, I also mentioned that we had booked an extra day due to our late-night arrival. We arrived on July 10th at 3:00 a.m., expecting to have access to our room as mentioned during the booking, but the hotel was locked. We were extremely tired and tried calling the emergency phone number as well as the hotel's regular phone number, but no one answered, and there were no messages for us regarding how to enter. Eventually, we walked around to the pool area and tried to sleep on the sun loungers. We couldn't close our eyes, and five hours after 8:00 a.m., a receptionist finally arrived at the hotel. We were let in and given access to our room, so we went straight to bed. After sleeping for a few hours, I got up and spoke to the receptionist. I demanded a refund for the extra day (July 9th) since we had paid for an additional night specifically to avoid the situation we ended up in, where we couldn't access the hotel. However, I had never imagined in my worst nigh**are that the hotel would be locked, and that we would have to sleep outside on the first night. The receptionist became angry and ended up saying it was our own fault and that she had already messaged us. She showed me some messages from ******* on the computer, but when I checked those messages in the ******* app, they didn't appear. Even to this day, I cannot find the messages she showed me, so I suspect she showed messages intended for another guest. I made her aware that we had made the request during booking and that it wasn't enough for them to communicate through an app that many guests may not even use, but that they should have contacted us via email or phone. She called ******* regarding our refund for the one day, and ******* called me afterward. ******* informed me that it's the hotel's responsibility to provide us with a refund. I approached the receptionist again, and she told me that they wouldn't refund us. I continued to demand it because it couldn't be right for them to treat guests with such poor service. We had slept outside, we had fallen ill, and they had received payment for a day that we didn't even use the room. It ended with her saying she would contact her manager. The manager refused to compensate us for the night, and I told the receptionist that my partner and I were on vacation, so I didn't want to spend any more time on this, but she should be aware that it was extremely poor service. One day later, during breakfast, I poured myself a fresh orange juice. I noticed something moving in the juice, which I caught wi
