✨ A Hidden Gem in Ikebukero
This place is a rare find in a great location. Depending on which metro line you take, it’s about a 10–15 min walk from the station (C1 exit). The street is quite narrow, so large vehicles can’t enter. If you’re taking a taxi or shuttle, you’ll need to get dropped off nearby.
The reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early, and they allowed us to store our luggage safely—plenty of space provided. The accommodation runs on an AirBnB-style concept, with shared kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas. A washing machine is available for free use, and the dryer costs only 100 yen for 30 minutes.
We booked a triple-sharing ensuite room with 3 futons, strong air-conditioning, and enough space to open our luggage comfortably. It’s cosy but perfect for three guests.
Since it’s a shared-style accommodation, guests are encouraged to keep quiet and respect others. Overall, it’s simple, clean, and comfortable—great value if you’re looking for a home-like stay in the heart of Ikebukero.

it's quite small and I can't even open up my luggage inside the room. knocked myself many times in the tiny bathroom as well. my friend who booked for 2pax actually got the same room size as my single room....so it was quite cramped for 2 😅 7eleven just opposite the street, convenient.

It was a really cute two story house(?). It is not far from the main road and close to an exit of Ikebukuro station. The staff was very polite and helpful. The place is very clean and complete. There’s a kitchen with dining table and they also have washing machine to use. It’s also in a nice quiet neighborhood, very recommended if you want to stay in a peaceful area but still have good accessibility

Locations is nice. Basic room tatami bed on the floor.
No place for luggage, so it is easy to make a mess in the room.

House Ikebukuro is located near C1 exit of Ikebukuro station so it’s convenient, but kinda far from the JR platforms. There are plenty of restaurants and konbinis around the area so getting hungry in the middle of the night is not a problem at all. The staff are kind and accommodating as well.

Second stay with a private bathroom. Nice rooms for the short stay with basics amenities. Staff are very helpful. Chinese owners and can speak Japanese and English.

Wonderful stay at House Ikebukuro. The hostess reached out beforehand to ensure a smooth check in and showed me to my room. The room was wonderful and just what I needed to rest before leaving on a flight the next day. Was in a good location, close to everything but on a quiet street. Would recommend and stay here again.
