I was promised a room "on the ground floor" which is what I requested because I have arthritis in my knees and have a problem walking up and down the stairs. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a normal ground floor. To get to your room on the ground floor you have to negotiate 5 stairs down and then 5 stairs up; that made each trip to and from my room a painful experience.

Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und überaus freundlich. Für den Preis ist sowohl das Zimmer als auch das Frühstück super! Da wir am zweiten Tag sehr früh abreisen mussten aus privaten Gründen, wurden wir sogar gefragt ob man uns das Frühstück am Tag zuvor abends als Lunch Paket mitgeben sollte... Astreiner Service! Das Restaurant des Hotels macht optisch einen extrem schönen Eindruck, auch die Auswahl ist super. Das Niveau des Essens aber nur mittel. Lage eher dezentral, zu Fuß zu weit in die Stadt, mit dem Auto fast zu kurz. Haus und Gebäude von außen stark renovierungsbedürftig. Optisch stark mit der verbundenen Pferderennbahn zusammenhängend (Geschmackssache).
