Kura Kura Resort

A wonderful place, an island with a precious treasure, the structure, the nature, the sea, the staff, their welcome with that smile that warms your heart, and what about the cuisine and the truly delicious dishes. The excursions that take you to visit the surrounding islands and the beauties under the sea are breathtaking. A dream that came true.

We stayed in this splendid resort in October with my daughter, my sister and some friends, we stayed in a Family pool Villa and what can I say? A daydream. From the moment you arrive you feel pampered by the always present and smiling staff, the resort is truly beautiful, elegant but welcoming, perfectly maintained and clean. Excursions depart every day to snorkel and see the surrounding islands (don't miss Krakal where there are cottages where you can even spend the night alone to fully enjoy the magic of the uncontaminated island). They even provided us with shoes to walk in the lagoon, mask and snorkel (also for my daughter... and even beach toys for her). The island is a true oasis of peace, nature envelops you and the crystal clear sea allows you to fully enjoy the wonders of the seabed, they have various eco-sustainability projects and you can really feel the integration of the resort into the natural habitat. Finally, for everything it offers and for the level of the place, in my opinion, the quality/price ratio is excellent!

The Kura Kura Resort was the last stop on our honeymoon in Indonesia. It is an island of pure MAGIC. As soon as we arrived we couldn't wait to take off our shoes and run towards the sea to feel the sand under our feet. It was a continuous whirlwind of emotions, from waking up with the singing of birds, to sunsets that make you emotional. The snorkeling excursions were very interesting thanks to the dedication and organization of Roberta and her boys. A wonderful backdrop full of a variety of corals and fish that makes you feel like you are in the enchanted world of the Little Mermaid. As for the food, they have a cuisine that respects traditions but which offers a valid alternative to typical Indonesian dishes, well structured and very tasty. Thanks also go to Sandro who, thoughtfully, welcomed us and followed us step by step. And last, but not least, the staff who were welcoming, very sweet and attentive from good morning until good night. Well, what can I say, everything is nothing short of wonderful 😍❤️

I write this review with a lot of nostalgia; I went to Kura Kura as the conclusion of my honeymoon and my big regret is not having spent more nights in this true paradise. The resort boasts first of all an impeccable organizational structure: it can be reached by a small private plane (about 30 minutes + another 30 minutes by boat) or by a fast boat (about 2 hours) depending on the day you leave, all organized by the staff . From the first moment you set foot in Kura Kura, you are greeted by the great friendliness of the staff. The first special mention goes to Sandro, the Governor of the island :) Special person! And then all the staff in general, always kind, smiling, friendly and ready to assist you. What about the island? Simply perfect, there is great care and attention to maintenance, there is not a dry leaf in the paths and everything is perfectly clean and in harmony. It really makes you relax. It takes 30 minutes to go around and there are many beautiful views of a crystal clear sea. We stayed in a Pool Villa, which is a super intimate and private accommodation with a private pool, a huge bed, large and comfortable bathroom and an outdoor lounge with stereo (excellent choice of music on the stick), minibar and cafeteria. The room is cleaned twice a day. The restaurant serves mainly Italian cuisine, of a high standard and therefore really excellent...After 10 days between Bali and Java eating spicy white rice, being able to eat gnocchi or penne all'arrabbiata was a wonderful treat :) We passed one night also on the island of Krakal, and if you are thinking of booking a stay in Kura Kura you absolutely must not miss at least one night there too. It's a tiny island, you can get around in 2 minutes. It has no electricity, but you will be provided with torches and a cooler packed with food. Krakal was an experience that is hard to explain, but one that cannot be forgotten. Imagine yourself alone (and in reality there are two other guardians IF you REALLY need them, but they are on their part of the island and you won't see or hear them), the only noises you will hear are the sea and the seagulls. In front of you is a very long lagoon of crystal clear, warm and shallow water. I have never seen so many stars at night, and simply contemplating the bonfire in silence (the guardians prepare the wood) was a reunion with the world. Wonderful experience. We also snorkeled at Fish Paradise, an excursion organized by the staff. I had never done snorkelling before, but the talented Roberta is available every morning at the restaurant pool to explain how to do it (here she also teaches how to dive). Seeing the coral reef was a very strong, beautiful visual impact. Lots of fish, colorful corals... a hidden world. And here I feel like reassuring those who have never done this type of activity, or even don't feel safe swimming: trust me
