The hotel is far from town centre, located near a farm, very quiet, it is new renovated, facilities are enough. Place is clean. We can see the cows from the window of kitchen. If you like silence, it is a good place for you.

The room is big, with a big bed and a small bed, complete kitchen utensils, and the host has prepared a complete breakfast; the greenery outside the house is very suitable for families who love nature. It is more than 10 kilometers away from the surrounding town. It is recommended to buy food in advance and do it yourself Make it for dinner and will have a great night.

另外沒有空調，白天會很熱，但是太陽一落山就涼快了，我們白天沒待一會兒，所以還好
房東夫婦挺熱情，還放了給小孩看的書，很用心了
總體來説不錯，如果去hobbiton玩，提前住一晚是個好選擇，值得推薦

This is such a wonderful place to stay! Very comfortable, quiet, in a gorgeous setting on a farm. Shona, the host, is very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast provisions are ample and having a full kitchen is really nice. We stayed in the studio unit, which is quite large and has a gorgeous view out the back. Plus, only 15 minutes from Hobbiton, an hour to the Waitomo glow worms, 15 minutes from Cambridge, which is a sweet little town. Many other beautiful places are nearby. It's such a cosy, relaxing retreat from the world. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Kauri Lodge is an amazing place! I have never been to such a clean and well kept place!! The hosts were amazing and had fantastic communication! Everything was comfy and the food was perfect for breakfast! The stars were so clear and the view so relaxing! We didn’t want to leave!!

We are a family from southkorea for vacation.
This lodge was so good to enjoy rural area's beautiful view and MS.Shona and her husband were so kind. I needed to find a good hotel which is close to hobbit village and that was why I choose this lodge. It was so nice to have this kind of experince.

Property in lovely setting, spacious and well equipped.
A pity that they did not make more of the view eg a deck looking out to Maungatautari. Great range of provisions but nicer tea, bread and jams would have greatly enhanced our experience.
