This hotel is a fantastic place. Classic hotel with huge rooms, and spacious bathroom. The best part is an outdoor pool, its clean and very big. I absolutely enjoyed a week staying in Howard Plaza. Strongly recommended.

The location of the Watermark is superb! Right next to the main station. The staff on the front desk were friendly and helpful. Check-in/out is automated and easy to do. The room was large and comfortable. Could have been cleaner. But really nothing to complain about. Great breakfast, nice café & restaurant which serves until around 10pm. We will use it again.

Book the hotel for a last-minute travel. Stayed in this hotel for 8 days. I think for the price the hotel is clean. Here are some breakdowns: Room: The room and the hotel are a little dated, but its acceptable. I think it will work for backpakers. The vent in my room came off a little. The maintenance team should pay attention to things like this. The room I booked does not have a window. Luckily, I'm not in the room most of the time. Recommendation to people if you are interested in this hotel, make sure to book the room with a window. Also, the room I stayed in is small. You need to close up you luggage otherwise you won't have space to walk. Cleanses: The cleanese is within acceptable range for a hotel like this. However, I think the carpet in the room is old and dirty. Management should really consider replacing the carpets. A newer carper can bring the cleanness of the room up one level. The room also has some minor mildew smell when you enter the room. In fact, some parts of the hotel also have minor mildew smells. Management should really figure out how to remove the mildew smell. The mildew smell goes a way if you increase the AC, but then the room becomes too cold. The mildew smell is also reported by some of the reviews. Comfortable: The mattress and pillow are ok. Each bed comes with 2 pillows instead of 4. I have decent sleep on it. Amenities: The hotel comes with two bottles of water everyday. House keeping will provide it daily if you have house keeping. Hotel provides reusable sleepers for bathroom and for use in the room. These are not disposable sleepers. They are reusable. They look very old school and I'm not sure how clean they are. So, I dont use them. I understand its a budget hotel, but it would be really great if they provided disposable sleepers. Also, there is no hand soap in the bathroom. You would think that after the pandemic, washing hand should become an important part of life but hand soap is not provided. I went to one of the local shops here to buy myself a bottle of hand soap. The shower drain is also a little clogged. There is a small poddle of water while showering. I read similar issues in other reviews. Breakfast: The breakfast is ok for the price of the room. Some of the reviews said that the breakfast was better before. Honestly, with inflation, all cost have gone up. I think the selection of breakfast is good for the price of hotel. I think overall the hotel is ok. If you are traveling alone and are under a budget, I think this hotel can be one of the choices.

Nice hotel! Settled in a very convenient location. 5 minutes away from Duanfeng Night Market. There is FamilyMart next to the hotel, and the coffee shop opposite is also good. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to Kaohsiung Arena and Hanshin Department Store. The hotel is neat and clean. If you are a family of four, you can arrange two queen beds. Breakfast included. A good choice indeed. The park next to it is also a good place for walking and leisure. You can go to the Arena Metro Station within walking distance.

Check-out is self-service, without having to go to the front desk. The self-service machine will collect the room card, which is very convenient and fast.

It's the first time I booked a room. I didn't know that the originally booked room was on the 5th floor (no elevator). The service staff saw that we had 2 children and big luggage. Home and business travel is located on Jiuru 2 Road behind Kaohsiung Station. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the MRT station or Taiwan Railway Station. It is a bit inconvenient to take the MRT to Kaohsiung. It takes a long time to get in and out. If the distance is not too far, for example, to the north of the Sanduo business district, there is a You-bike station in the park behind the hotel, and renting a bicycle is faster than taking the MRT. There are no convenience stores on Jiuru 2 Road next to the hotel, and there are no restaurants and snack bars. You have to walk a short distance. The hotel rooms are simple in decoration and cleanliness. Unfortunately, there are no sockets on both sides of the bed, only the wall on the side of the desk can be charged.
