Second time staying there and they didn't disappoint!
From the quick checking in and out with the friendly staff, and not forgetting the green plants welcoming us at the lounging area and in our rooms!
Z Hotel is located along Jalan Wong Ah Fook known for its wide array of delicious food! It's also a stone throw away from Jalan Tan Hiok Nee and Jalan Dhoby known for the food choices, vintage and thrift fashion shops and did I mention cultural experiences like the Johor Bahru Chinese Heritage Museum!
Back to the hotel, the decor really evokes a relaxing feeling and the view from the window is pretty spectacular!
Looking forward to our next stay there!

Capri is just directly behind the custom and there was a massive jam just to drive to the hotel.
Just a 5 mins drive took me 1hr plus to turn to the hotel.
The carpark is a maze. Even with directions, you would be confused.
The room was clean just that that's a pungent smell in the toilet - literally a smell of a baby spoiled diapers in Room 1001. Feedback upon checked out. Hope they do something to it.
There isn't anything to eat, so you will have to drive out to eat each time. Unless you don't mind the cafeteria downstairs. Otherwise be prepared to hit the jam over and over again.
Highly likely will not stay over at Capri again due to the location.

Room: The room looked outdated, and the shower was a big disappointment—old and not very clean. On the bright side, they did provide basic amenities like shower gel, shampoo, a toothbrush and toothpaste, and bottled water, which was appreciated. The bed and pillows were decent enough for a good night’s rest.
Service: Check-in was efficient and quick—less than 10 minutes, which was great. Just a heads-up, they require a deposit of 100 RM upon check-in, so be prepared for that.
Overall, the experience didn’t live up to the standards of a 4-star hotel. With the outdated room and shower issues, I can’t justify the 4-star claim. This place might be okay if you manage your expectations, but I wouldn’t recommend it for those looking for a true 4-star experience.

We have been to Amari around 5 years ago. It is still as clean comfortable and exceptional in services. But but, 1 thing to note. They have a smoke detector install right in the middle of the room. And the smoke detector has a green LED light that blink periodically. If you sleep in full darkness, that led light is terrible. We had a bad sleep due to the light in the first night. The next morning, i called for help and they offer to tape the green light away using masking tape. It become much much better for us.
Also to add in, maybe the hotel can look into sustainability. I need to open a new pack of toothbrush just to get the toothpaste. The toothpaste is pretty tiny for me. Shower gel and shampoo can also work toward huge bottle rather than tiny tube.
Would be nice to have laundro in hotel.
Other than this, this hotel is really good. Good service and buffet spread.

There is free parking which is good. Room and bed super clean. However needs a kettle, mini fridge to make it complete. Booked a room that stated it has window but they ran out of rooms thus got the one without windows which is really small. Really just need a kettle and mini fridge. Suitable for a night stay maybe. Hair dryer is almost as good as No hair dryer. This hotel has potential if the amenities are better. But overall a very clean place.

My booking was from the 27th of February to the 14th of March. Slightly more than 2 weeks at this hotel. Unfortunately, did not think to take any photos, but I will do my best to describe it. Firstly, I have to mention that I slept in 3 of their rooms in total. Secondly, I booked their rooms under a package deal that was offered at their hotel, and not online (880 for 10 days and something else for 5 days or something). I utilise those 2 deals for the Sakura room consecutively. Finally, I was there for an urgent home visit, so I am mostly not in the hotel or did not want to complain much while I was there. Room: relatively tidy at first glance. First room had some rust marks where the towels were kept, while the second room’s air con and toilet door were broken. I changed from the first room because the toilet got stuck and overflowed in the middle of the night, when there was no maintenance or cleaners. They were also happy to accomodate a second change when I pointed out the broken things in the second room Walls weren’t very clean, and the cleaners seem to cut corners in their cleaning (my hair sheds regularly, and while some parts of the floor were clearly swept, the toilet had some hair, the drain always had hair, etc). They can be prompt in taking trash out but I don’t really like to ask them to come and re clean the room after a long stressful day. This particular room has no windows, so can’t really say anything else. Also, at this budget price, no fridge. Customer service: staffs were very helpful and friendly at any time of the day. Also, staffs can speak English, which is super helpful. Location: if you have never been to Malaysia before or have never been to Johor before, I will just say that public transport isn’t the easiest in most parts of Malaysia. That said, download grab app, and it works great. Koho’s relatively central location means it’s just a few ringgit to most destinations, so great choice there. However, even though it’s central and next to a high way and a supper place, it’s relatively quiet in my room all the time. For the price, can’t really complain. Obviously, with all the issues, I can’t give it 5 stars but I will return again.

GGuest UserThe room was not fully cleaned up on entering the room at 7pm, and they forgot to give us keys to lock the room door but it was a 2 room unit with a shared main entrance so we had to request for keys at night to lock the door safely for the next few days.
We checked in with the owner in the afternoon but the jam coming in was very bad so we had to rush off for our appointments. The check in process was clumsy and they insisted on taking our passport photos that Anju didn't require and a RM200 deposit that was only returned upon check out. The owner didn't register our car to the parking lot and we were stuck at the carpark for a few minutes while we tried to exit the carpark for supper.
There was puke on the shower wall, hand prints on the mirror, and dots of puke in the toilet & sink. So I did some scrubbing to make it liveable since we're staying for 3 days. The coffee table also had hair and dandruff from previous user so it wasn't wiped down after use.
The bed is nice and firm, I actually had a good night sleep on the bed as compared to the lousier beds at Anju. Unit provided us with cutleries, cookware and utensils and working washing machine which we utilised.
Checking out was Abit messy because we cannot handover the keys and the carpark access card before leaving the carpark and 1 told us to handover at level 8 while the staff suddenly turned up at our door at 11.45am while we were still packing up. In the end we agreed to checkout at the carpark exit..
Price wise between YJYQ & ANJU, I would say YJYQ is more pocket friendly. And when I were to bring my family over for holiday, I would book YJYQ for the 2 bedroom join units.
We also received a small door gift. 😀
Overall I personally like staying at R&F.

Very spacious and well equipped amenities (kitchen with fridge and kettle), many electrical sockets. Especially love the bidet with wash, dry, and seat warmer features! It looks like the electrical sockets and bathroom have been renovated recently. However the wardrobes in the kitchen and bathroom aren't so clean on the insides. The soundproofing is not so good, so can hear people in the corridor, rain, and traffic on the motorway outside loudly. Ok if you're a heavy sleeper, but probably will not suit light sleepers looking to get a good rest. No comments on the rest of the hotel amenities, restaurant etc. as it was closed for renovation at the time of our stay. We enjoyed a quiet, easy walk on the road through Kampong Muhd Amin to the restaurants and cafes located along Jalan Kolam Ayer (near Kolam Ayer Mosque). Overall ok as a basic accommodation for short stay on a budget

GGuest UserIn terms of location, it is located in the peripherals of a housing estate and the front of the hotel faces the main road which makes crossing the road difficult. There is nothing else near the hotel, i.e. no eateries or shops or malls. The size of the room is considered small, although the bed is comfortable. Other than these 2 shortcomings, it is not too bad a stay. Staff in the hotel are polite and helpful. The housekeeping does a decent job and room is clean. I think they even spray fragrance on the pillows which make them smell good. The wifi is good. I like the design of the lobby, which gives a warm feeling with sofas and counter which they serve simple breakfast. Although the room does not come with breakfast, the hotel does provide simple breakfast, which comprise of bread, biscuits, half-boiled eggs, cup noodles in addition to coffee and tea and flavoured drinks. I find this a very nice touch. There is an Italian restaurant that serves Italian food as well as some local food. There is also a pub, which does creates some noise on a Saturday evening as they do have music on until about 1am. Although it does not cause too much disturbance even though we stayed on the second floor. Price wise, I would regard this as reasonable.

YYong FongThe hotel was located in a rather quiet place of JB. Need to travel a distance around to get to the hotel. The room was a decent size and cosy. There are limited TV channels and foods in the breakfast which are areas which I think can improve on. The hotel also provides pick up from Holiday Inn Hotel near JB City Square (In pic 2) to their hotel at limited timing. Last but not least, the walls are thin (in pic 1), so if you are a light sleeper, this hotel is not the one for you. Overall for a non crowded hotel, the hotel is not bad for just a short period of stay.

Cons - not sound proof, fair bit of noise from traffic at night, yrllow stain on bedsheet, tiny ants on bed, bedside table showing cup stains and sticky, shower head seems spoilt as the water was dripping down instead of spray like and out, making us stand superb close to the wall to be able to get the water, shower handle spoilt; came off while adjusting the water temperatuee, no tissue paper
Overall, small hotel, very basic. Whilst I hv no issues with providing my own tissue paper boxes, shampoo or toothbrush n other stuff, felt that Cleanliness shd not be compromised no matter how.

AAnonymous UserRoom is fine, clean. Just the space beside the bed for the last room is small. Might kick the side of the bed if unnoticeable. Unable to walk normally on the side so ended just climb and crawl to sleep. Not suitable for elderly. Toilet might be slippery after bathe, lucky they provided the plastic kind of slipper to wear. Bottle water they will refill daily. They will make up room too. Ours room didn't have the do not disturb sign yet they still enter to pack up room which we do not want to. Was quite shocking. Nearby have 1 eatery but the land opposite looks more promising just that crossing the road would be dangerous as there are fast cars and no traffic lights. Better to drive opposite of possible. Short stay 2 day still okay but 3 day above would be bored. Given only one room card, extra myr50 deposit for each card. Card room kept resetting. Had to go counter every day to have it fixed.

Wwp006320The whole park feels very old, the ground is not very neat, and the content of entertainment projects is average. We caught up with the first day of the Spring Festival. There were a lot of people. The VR roller coaster was queued for about1.5 hours. I saw that many seats were not allowed. Some empty cars left. The work efficiency was extremely low. It was not caused by many people. It was completely work efficiency that caused the queue for a long time. Some projects later did not want to play. The overall feeling is that adults who have not been to Lego Park can go and see it. It is best to take children under 10 years old. The older children will feel boring. It would be better to go to the left of the park if you like to stimulate a little. The Spring Festival Park is a huge snake specially made for the Chinese Spring Festival, especially with special care.

A great place to visit with your family on a weekend or even on a holiday break. Finding a parking spot is quite hard since quite a number of family visit it during the weekend. For its cheap price, you can see a variety of animal. Definitely a bargain and a good place to escape the city view.
