EEUC riderFantastic rooms. Very large and well appointed. Restaurants don’t do well for vegans but otherwise fine. Service in the Paulaner bar was slow with only one server the evening we tried it. It’s not cheap but it’s very good value for what you get. I’ve stayed twice and would definitely stay again. Recommended if you want to be near the train station.

SSophieMOur stay at 盛庭行馆 was truly the highlight of our trip to Wuzhen. From the moment we checked in until after we left, our butler 露佳provided impeccable service and constant care. She checked in with us regularly, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect.
During our visit, I celebrated my birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond to make it special — with a beautifully decorated room and a lovely cake. 露佳also gave excellent recommendations for local food and attractions, and made restaurant reservations for us effortlessly through messages.
The room was elegant and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the overall atmosphere felt both refined and welcoming. Although we visited during the Theater Festival and the town was quite crowded, the serenity and hospitality of 盛庭行馆 made it a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle.
I would absolutely choose to stay here again, perhaps at a quieter time, to enjoy even more of its charm.

WWodigeguaiguai.Let's cut to the chase: highly recommended!
The environment and service at The Dam are truly excellent. Many people say the location is a bit out of the way, but honestly, once you're staying inside the scenic area, it doesn't really feel like that. You're pretty much always chauffeured around, so it's not an issue. In fact, this year's drama market moved near The Dam, making it super convenient to just walk a few steps to get there. Plus, the daily fruit is fresh and delicious.
The room decor is very comfortable, and the window view is great. I also have to praise the mattress – you can adjust its firmness, and even set a heating option for your feet while you sleep, with many temperature settings. It's especially comfortable to sleep in when the weather gets cooler.
I didn't get into the infinity pool because it was too cold, but I did go check it out. Lying on a lounge chair by the shore, you can see both the pool and the distant White Lotus Pagoda, which is very beautiful, especially on a clear day with blue skies and white clouds.
Staying in such a modern hotel within ancient Wuzhen allows you to enjoy both the historical scenery and cultural charm, as well as modern comfort and convenience.
And I absolutely must mention the sound healing (singing bowls). If you come, be sure to book it quickly – there are only a few dozen spots each day. I initially just wanted to try it out, but after the experience, I felt incredibly comfortable. I drifted off to sleep within about ten minutes. Sleeping in that environment is exceptionally relaxing. I recommend experiencing it on your second day if you have a three-day itinerary. We went on our last day, and just when I was comfortably asleep, it was time for check-out, so I didn't get enough of it, haha.
I'll definitely stay at The Dam again next year. It was a fantastic experience!

KKazzy travelerInspirok Hotel Tongxiang- First time back in Tongxiang after 4 years. 7 nights in a spacious ”Business Room” in building B with 2 very firm king single beds that gave me a sore upper back. (I don't have back problems normally...) Flat pillows. The hopeless Air-conditioning struggled to get to an absolute low of 23C and was noisy. (32C days and 26C nights.). Huge bathroom with bath. Flow limited shower with hand shower and rain shower. Mostly quiet due to reduced occupancy and outside traffic. Good blockout curtains. International power points with USB power but you must have an earth pin if you want to use an Aussie plug. (Or risk manually pushing up the earth lockout.) Many free english movies available now on the tv in reasonable quality. One thing that I found particularly handy was that a small tube of liquid laundry detergent is supplied and some hooks above the bath.
There was no bar fridge in my room on arrival but one was quickly supplied, gratis, when I asked. (Empty).
Large shopping mall one block from the hotel and small 7-eleven type shop very near the front entrance where you can buy tsing taos for 6rmb.
The included buffet breakfast was pretty average with fewer choices and poorer quality than similar 5* hotels. Very average automatic coffee machines and coffee pots. It was also so overcrowded on the Sunday- with a convention booking- that many people could not be seated. Most mornings it was reasonably quiet.
Excellent room service Indonesian fried rice. I also had the ”all you can eat” buffet a couple of nights but thought that it was over priced for the quality of food available at 138RMB (approx 30aud.)
Reasonable wifi access throughout the hotel and I was able to read my Gmail but not send it. (I couldn't even download it in Jiangsu.)
There is no option on the Trip booking page to ask for 'special requests” for this hotel. Also no option to ask for a non smoking floor and I wasn't asked at check-in. Very annoying.

MM18639****My stay at the Hilton Jiaxing this time was absolutely fantastic! Even before I had fully stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by the warm enthusiasm of staff member Mona, who proactively helped upgrade my room – setting a wonderfully positive tone right from the start.
The room itself was cozy and elegantly furnished. Its spacious layout, starting from a generous 42 square meters, ensured I never felt cramped. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered a superb view; at night, the glittering city lights were a beautiful sight to behold right from my bed. The in-room amenities also reflected high quality: a 55-inch HD LCD TV, a separate shower and bathtub, and international brand Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries – every detail exuded a touch of luxury. Executive Rooms and Suites even come equipped with a capsule coffee machine and a variety of teas, truly demonstrating an understanding of guests' needs.
The hotel's dining options were also a delightful surprise! Yu All-Day Dining restaurant offered an extensive breakfast buffet with a complete array of both Chinese and Western dishes. Local Jiaxing specialties like 'rouzong' (savory sticky rice dumplings) and Nanhu water caltrops, along with mini pan-fried buns and tofu pudding, all tasted fantastic. The freshly-made Eggs Benedict and pan-fried dumplings are definitely a must-try. Adjacent to the restaurant, there's a playful children's dining and play zone, which families with kids will surely appreciate. The Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor specializes in local Shanghai and Cantonese cuisine, boasting a serene and elegant ambiance perfect for family gatherings or business dinners. Afternoon tea at the Silk Lobby Lounge was exquisite and delicious; paired with a signature cocktail, it created a wonderfully relaxing experience. The Executive Lounge's afternoon tea and Happy Hour were equally impressive, offering a wide variety of hot dishes, desserts, and fruits, all of high quality.
The leisure facilities were also comprehensive. The fitness center on the 2nd floor features a variety of equipment, and the indoor heated pool has crystal-clear water. After a swim, you can unwind in the sauna. Furthermore, the hotel boasts an excellent location in Nanhu District, surrounded by all sorts of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. Wanda Plaza is just a short walk away, and it's not far from Nanhu Scenic Area, Yuehe Ancient Town, and Jiaxing South High-Speed Railway Station, making travel incredibly convenient. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jiaxing, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time!

DDaily happinessLocation is great because it’s near to the main entrance of wuzhen. Had a great value of lunch outside of wuzhen tourist attraction. Tried having dinner inside of wuzhen and it was below average.
The room itself is slightly small after luggage is opened up but I would say it’s got all you need, ie. air conditioner with right temperature to keep you warm, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, shower head worked perfectly well too . I had a decent sleep in this room.
The only downside was the staff service. No early check in, luggage was not transferred to the room, wifi was not set up. Staffs were not friendly . Basically they will cover your question if you ask. Tried to reach out to them on WeChat and the responses were slow and not helpful. As this building is away from their main block, you need help to carry big/ heavy luggage on the uneven stone pathway and also from corridor to lobby via staircase.
Less hassle if you are travelling light.

Also excellent locational the deeper west end of the Xizha scenic area, so that you get to walk through the entire place again the next morning with few people there.
I had a special problem where I forgot something as my last hotel. 2 lovely staff members, one from previous night and one from next morning both agreed to communicate on the phone with my last hotel to help me find and coordinate the item pickup. I am forever happy and grateful for this wonderful place.
