Just got back from another two night stay at The Feversham Arms, Helmsley. Unfortunately one or two issues this time for the price you pay. Not all the staff were customer friendly. The bathroom needed a complete refurbishment. The outside pool and surrounding need to be cleaned. Tiles were missing in the pool.

Room was very dimly lit. We weren’t aware that. There may be a number of steps between areas. Some steps had no bannisters to help people with limited mobility. Having been shown to our room up a short spiral flight of steps which I found difficult, again as there wasn’t really a rail to assist , no alternative was available on the day. I have been unable to find anything on the website which mentioned that room access might be difficult
Breakfast service could certainly be improved although we understand there might have been staffing issues.
We were able to hear conversations between our bedroom and next door which prevented us from going to sleep
We were quite disappointed in our stay

Very good hotel in excellent location for Helmsley with great spa facilities. Slightly disappointed with quality of cleaning of room with no drinks or toiletry replenishment after the first nights stay. Good breakfast but food slow coming out of kitchen, not the waiting staffs fault though. Lovely lounges and excellent bar with helpful and welcoming staff.

Perfect place, automatic upgrade with it being my husband’s birthday. The only little downside for us was the food. It was very fancy! Alacarte. We prefer more simple haha, but if you like that sort of food then it’s perfect. Staff all amazing!

Spa and facilities were nice and clean. Only issue was the church bells that rang quite frequently and they were noisy. However overall was a lovely night away.

Our first visit to the Feversham, on recommendation from friends who had stayed 5 wks ago and wanted to come back again. Really enjoyed our stay. Our spa suite was fabulous, overlooking the pool with a balcony. We had dinner on the first night and the food and service was excellent. The cooked breakfast was excellent too but the cold buffet was a bit limited. Would have liked more fresh fruit selection. Quite a wait after ordering a second tea & coffee but it was a busy morning and the young boys who were serving needed a gentle reminder. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it and would come back again if in the area

We enjoyed our stay, lovely pool side suite with lots of space, comfy bed and nice outside area. The facilities were good, only criticism is the pool was not very warm. Breakfast was fine, service fine. We'd stay again.
