First of all, fairly easy to get to, and the manager will direct you on the routes to take. The day was sunny and we went about to West Canyon. This is a must see and fun. The rest is pedestrian. We went to see the sunset with the hotel. Not much happened. It rained in the morning, so no sunrise tour. However, after the rain was the mist, giving credit to its fame.

This is the third time I have come to Huangshan in 20 years. This is a slightly regretful trip, mainly because I didn't encounter heavy snow and sea of ​​clouds. Fortunately, the experience of staying at Shilin Cliff House still adds a touch of color to this imperfect trip. I had already thought of giving up after looking at the weather forecast, but thinking about the hard-to-book Huaying, I still came to Huangshan. Yungu went up the mountain, walked and strolled, met the housekeeper at Mengbishenghua, and walked into the cliff house from the Qingliang Pavilion path. Pushing open the quaint wooden door to the yard, walking into the rest area converted from the temple, the puppy Beibei couldn't wait to rush to greet me. It is quiet everywhere, surrounded by fragrance, and a scene at every step, which is very pleasant. Take the elevator from the sixth-floor lobby to the second floor, and then take the exclusive elevator of Huaying to the room on the first floor. To be fair, the room is not big, but the view is invincible, and the large terrace has a 180° open view. The whole house is not cold at all, and the afternoon tea is also very special. The breakfast is a set meal, beautiful and exquisite, and sufficient. The only downside is that the noodles feel like they have been soaked in the soup for too long, and the texture is soft and tasteless. The housekeepers are very enthusiastic and always greet each other with a smile. If you have any needs, you can get the service in place with a WeChat message. However, it is recommended to add a device for up and down calls to Huaying's exclusive elevator, otherwise the housekeeper will ring the doorbell upstairs and the downstairs will not be able to respond whether it is suitable for door-to-door service. Shilin Cliff House is located in the Beihai Lion Grove Scenic Area. It takes about ten minutes to get to Monkey Viewing the Sea, which is suitable for watching the sunrise. Then there is Shixin Peak, which is more than 20 minutes on foot. It is not close to Yuping, Guangmingding, etc. Here, you can watch the sunset while eating dinner, lie on the bed to watch the stars, and soak in the bathtub to enjoy the mountain view... It is suitable for travelers who want to lie down and relax instead of walking all over Huangshan. Here, I realized my wish to sit on the bed and take pictures of the nebula, but the sudden thick clouds at four o'clock made the ending a little unsatisfactory. Just one night, I left in a hurry. Perfect stay in this amazing mountain. The hotel is well located. Staff is really available to make the stay comfortable. Hotel has all services you need, you forget that you are on the top of a mountain with no access by road. Good job to all people who carry all the stuff on their strong shoulders ! Room was clean, very confortable bed. On the morning the hotel organize a sunrise tour and you have a special jacket in your room as it is quite cold in the morning. The food is great with plenty of delicious choices. I highly recommend.

Hotel is at a convenient location where you can end your hike at for the day. Value for money as you get to view the sunset, star-gaze and see the sunrise all in one location! Receptionist Hu Shan was extremely helpful and even sent us messages on Weibo to alert us of the sunset/sunrise timings. 酒店的地点非常方便。上了山就能立刻休息。也能在酒店的台阶看日出日落，还能看银河!! 前台小姐胡珊也帮了我们不少- 在微博上给我们发消息让我们知道日出日落的时间。非常感谢！

Hotel was great - particularly as it's on top of a mountain - and that in itself is special! Costs for everything are expensive but fair considering the location. The room is fairly small (but very functional), you won't need space as you won't have luggage. Room comes with warm jackets and a torch so you don't need to bring those things for a sunset/sunrise. We were in what seemed like a newer block so the interior was modern. Shower was hot and decent. Breakfast and dinner (180 yuan per person) had impressive variety considering everything gets up the mountain on a cable car and then manually carried to the hotel. Location is good as it's next to the Taiping cableway but we walked from the popular Yuping cableway carrying small overnight packs. It is very possible in one day! We descended the next day via the Yungu cableway which was a much easier walk. Note the closest lookout for both is a 20min uphill walk with the path starting from the hotel (and another path for those who aren't staying there.) We saw a spectacular sunset and not much of a sunrise. Both were well worth it but of course you're at the mercy of the weather. Receptionists could speak basic English and will also give you bottles of water and communicate weather and sunset conditions to you via WeChat. If you can't understand Mandarin you can use the translate function in WeChat. Free laundry service too but we didn't use it.

we had a very good time at Bai Yun Hotel and had attentive care and service by 经理黄星华. she brought us to our rooms personally, introduced the functions inside (eg how to use heater etc) and regularly checks in with us to make sure that we are comfortable, well stayed and happy. moreover, she helps to give recommendations and live updates on sunset and sunrise timings and locations. we had a wonderful experience thanks to her well thought service and thank you for the local snacks for our hike down! ❤️

This was my first visit to the famous Huangshan. My tour agent helped us book the entrance fee, cable car, and electric bus tickets. We needed to show our passports at every entry or boarding point, as the electronic tickets were linked to our passport numbers. The hotel we stayed at is a nice one, located right next to the Yuping cable car. However, be prepared to climb another 15 minutes to reach the hotel. We arrived early at 10 am, so our room was not available yet. We left our small backpacks at the hotel and trekked to the Bright Summit. Along the way, we saw monkeys and passed by the Baiyun Hotel. By the time we returned to Yupinglou Hotel, it was almost evening. The trek was scenic but very tiring, with many stairs. Our kind and helpful host, Yu Jian, from Yupinglou Hotel was in constant contact with us through WeChat and recommended places to visit. This hotel is closest to the Celestial Capital Peak, but I was too tired to climb it the next morning. I highly recommend climbing this peak and will do it if I have the chance to visit again. Overall, it’s a nice hotel to stay in. Don’t expect too many luxuries, as it’s located on top of a rugged mountain. Even the vegetables and food need to be carried by porters to the hotels, which is no easy task.

First off, our fault, we didn't take note of the negative reviews of the service rendered in this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel, with amazing details and decorative accents. It is such a waste that the service standard is dismal. The lady at the reception was very dismissive when we checked in, after our long day of hiking. We managed to descend huangshan and reach the hotel about 6pm. She coldly informed us we have to have our dinner (before 8pm) and hotspring (before 9pm). We really scrambled and otherwise, you won't have food, and they would not allow us to use the hotspring voucher for the next day. Next, it might be a ”hotspring” hotel (throw away all preconceived thoughts of onsens), but u are only allowed one use a day, and it is only available from 3pm to 9pm. Next, apparently there is some transport restrictions for this hotel. So you can't just go out of the hotel to the town to eat and come back as there are specific timings u can go out or come into the hotel, via their transport team. You are basically holed in the hotel, which is fine for just one day, but not for longer stays. The food is acceptable, but they really meant it when they say it is a self-service buffet. The lady manager is especially surly. I don't think she was targeting us, she was equally dismissive to all (I guess that is some consolation) The staff delivered us 4 bottles of water while looking at his phone, no eye contact in any way (but this might just us being boomers by expecting some form of hospitality) The lady at the noodle station asked us to get our own soup bowl, while she continued with her douyin surfing.

The proprietress cooks delicious food, the amount is large, and she borrowed my trekking poles to tell us how to climb the mountain by car. The arrangement is very careful.
