Fairfield by Mariott is definitely one of my “go to” hotels for short stays, but this one in Florida City has by far the worst facility and amenities I’ve ever encountered by Mariott. We were there 4 days and received bad news/service each day.
1. I did an early check in as a Bonvoy member and when I arrived at 11 am there was no room ready… fair enough. I know early check ins aren’t guaranteed.. even though there were maybe 4 cars in the parking lot.
2. The pool looked NOTHING like the picture, and even so … it was CLOSED for “maintenance.” As a family of 5, you don’t take your kids to FL and expect to stay in a hotel where the pools closed.
3. We had a suite, again, family of 5. I opted for room service during my stay, so imagine my surprise on the second day when no one had brought towels, taken out trash .. nothing. I called the front desk and was told room service only comes “every other day.” So of course we had to go down and get our own towels. I’m expecting full room service the following day, NOPE… they only dropped off towels (no face towels) and took out the trash! I asked why nothing else and was told it’s “just a refresher.” Lol
4. Attempted to log in my Netflix account and it wouldn’t work. Front desk says “oh yea I know they tv gives you an option to do that but we don’t offer that service.
5. Monday morning … NO COFFEE. I was told the coffee machine had been broken all week!! Huh??? At a hotel? How and why is that even possible?!
