1. the property is very close to the bus entrance to Huang Shan.
2. The boss lady (it's an endearing way to address the women who manage hotels and restaurants in China) is very kind and helpful!
3. the restaurant on the ground floor is pretty good and friendly.
Con:
It's not really a problem of the property. I took the transit organized by the hotel to Hong Cun. The driver was very aggressive in his driving style. We left around 7pm, which is quite dark. He was making aggressive turns and brakes, making everyone onboard extremely nervous.

A boutique B&B with a great address, right at the entrance of Tunxi Old Street. The lobby is elegant. There is a teahouse and coffee shop, which is a good place to check in and take photos. The indoor environment is also good. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. The rustic wooden window culture. I especially like the creative house number guide. There are many benefits for staying here, including free fruit afternoon tea. The noodle shop for breakfast is also delicious. There are three sets of packages to choose from. The boss was very nice and upgraded our room for free.

The bed in the room is comfortable. The boss and his wife are very warm-hearted. I bought breakfast. My parents ate a lot for breakfast. There is no charge for an extra bowl. There are many delicious foods in the surrounding area with different prices, but the boss's is the best in terms of cost performance and taste. It feels like the smell comes from the small stove and good oil. Every dish is delicious, and you get what you pay for! The stinky mandarin fish was so fresh and tender that I ate it at the boss’s house for two days. I forgot to take pictures on the first day. The braised rooster, fresh bamboo shoots and the kid’s favorite sauce were the best! Great value for money! The lady boss introduced the route to Huangshan in great detail and was very considerate. It was a great trip! !

Although the hotel wasn't right next to the gate for the mountain, the owner gave us a lift there, and back, when we returned. He also picked us up from the bus station on the first evening when we arrived and organized cheap transport for us when we were leaving for the train station. This hospitality and care was a constant throughout our stay. The room was lovely and warm, with a large projector screen and comfortable bed and sofa. The food in the hotel was a beautiful, using lots of fresh ingredients. We ate here several times for both lunch and dinner. Lastly, the hosts were full of useful information which enhanced our stay. Had a great time here and would definitely visit again!

I went to climb Huangshan Mountain with my friends. We decided to stay at the foot of the mountain on the first night. After reading many reviews, we chose this one. It was really a good decision! Although there are not many reviews about their home, it is really a very good homestay. We stayed in a twin room. The room was so clean that we didn't even use the disposable sheets we brought! It was like going home when we walked in. Hahahaha, the young male boss explained the route of the mountain climbing in detail when he checked us in and gave us two maps (which we kept holding while climbing), which was very useful! Then the boss learned that we were going to stay on the mountain for one night, so he proposed the service of storing the suitcases here. We were very happy because we were still thinking about how to open this question. Hahahahaha, I didn't expect the boss to open his mouth. The room is all intelligent voice control. My friend and I probably called ”Xiaodu, Xiaodu” a hundred or eighty times. It's very sexy! ☺️☺️I also want to say that when we came back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases after going down the mountain, a lady (probably their family) offered to help us carpool. We were also very surprised. The service was very good. They even let us sit in a massage chair. Hahahahaha, love it. By the way, noodles were also provided in the morning, but we didn't have time to eat. If there is a chance, I will come again!

New facilities, good sanitary conditions, smart homes are really convenient, and the accommodation experience is very pleasant.
When I went out to find a late night snack in the evening, I met the boss and the proprietress for dinner. I also invited me to taste it. The taste was quite good. Unfortunately, it was too late and the itinerary was too rushed. Next time I come to Huangshan to play, I will taste this private kitchen. We are still on the way to Huangshan but the owner is so very kind to ask where are we and if we need help we can contact them at any time, actually the day prior to our trip😊😇 We finally meet them and welcomed us! We are so lucky to meet the Xiao Family👨👩👧 and of course there daughter Daisy🌼 They are very generous, offering help in everything 💞 even waking up very early just to bring us in the hospital for pcr test… driving us and fetching us after the hiking… very friendly family and there staffs😊😊 we felt like we are just a friend of the family owner… it’s more than a guests😭🥰 we had tea after dinner made by Mrs Xiao Xie 🍵 in her tea room…the breakfast and dinner we had is very good, we loved it, we finished all the food after the hike😋😋
We also swim at there swimming pool even if its cold, we enjoyed drinking beer and chitchatting with Daisy.. stargazing and enjoying with music…
I highly recommend this hotel specially if you don’t speak Chinese and new to the place and reasonable price… also near grocery stores, restaurants and hospital to do pcr,…. It would be a perfect experience for you… and gain friendship 💞

GGuest UserExcellent! This is the best option to stay in the Huangshan area to visit the mountains and surroundings. This boutique hotel is located extremely quietly in the middle of the bamboo forests and tea plantations away from the bustle and hustle, busy streets, people and noisy restaurants- exactly what we needed after a day on the mountain. At the same time it’s only 5-10 minutes away from the South entrance gate, which the hotel will shuttle you to whenever you need. Overall the service and the owners are so so great and helpful with everything.
The hotel overall and the rooms are so tastefully designed, high quality, 1000% clean and everything is tidied up (no messy piles anywhere - unlike in other boutique hotels in China).
You can conveniently get dinner in the hotel, the seating area is beautiful, quiet, designed perfectly and the food was delicious. Breakfast is Chinese breakfast but they are so sweet and offer cereals and toast if you like, however, i brought some other options for my parents which they kindly kept in the fridge.
They also took us to their own tea mountain to watch the sunset and Huangshan Mountain from afar - very special!!! Highly recommend that! The other hiking recommendations (besides than going up Huangshan) were a great addition. I recommend a three night stay, that’s just perfect.
Everything is even nicer than on the pictures, a pleasant and unusual surprise!!
You will not regret to choose this hotel, i stayed in other hotels in Huangshan before and this is the best option with regards to location (!!), design and service.

There is no elevator in the B&B. The owner is very enthusiastic to help us move our luggage. The service is super good!
The owner is very nice. The driver of the carpool from Hongcun to Tangkou did not send us to the door of the B&B. The owner came to pick us up. He also sent us to the entrance of Huangshan at 5 o'clock the next day. The boss really worked hard. The driver from Huangshan to the high-speed rail station was also contacted by the boss. We had dinner at the B&B. All five dishes were delicious and the price was very affordable. I was very satisfied

PPJQLocated beside the South Entrance to the village and facing the water-body (see photo of hotel with red banners). Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices.
The room we stayed was small but cozy. It is within the main building and just outside the room there is a reading lounge. It was quiet and hardly used while we were there.

Cleanliness and amenities: Superb as this hotel just newly opened and everything is in its prestine conditions. There is also a laundry room free for use.
Service however, was debatable. While staff were very friendly, they definitely took advantage of our lack of knowledge around the town.

Offering to drive us to the Emerald Valley (翡翠谷) but charging us an exorbitant price, 5 times more than what DiDi (car hailing app) was listing (only telling us the price once we got on the car, felt like they just made up the amount on a whim). The emerald valley was not an inaccessible location, but we were told that it was and therefore heeded their advice.
2. Sold us Emerald Valley entrance tickets for twice the price and told us that we were getting a discount. Fortunately, the tickets were void as it had already been used, which we got our refund back after. We then bought tickets at the entrance for half the price as we were foreigners. So now im wondering, what discount was she talking about?
3. Lastly, after facing some issues with the dryer not properly drying our clothes after waiting for 2hrs, I approached a staff for help. She was lost and confused but still trying to tell me I did not operate the machine correctly, when all she did was did exactly what i did and said that “its working, just have to wait for the dryer to heat up”. When i asked for her to elaborate on how it works, because i did the same thing and i waited for 2hrs, she just repeated the same info again. Like. If you don’t know and you can’t help just say so? Don’t act smart and be unhelpful?
Take these experiences as a pointer if you choose to stay here. Do your own proper research as much as possible so you don’t get taken advantage of like we did! Nonetheless, Huang shan is still a beautiful place, definitely worth a visit.

GGuest UserMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

GGuest UserWe stayed at the Qinman hotel 13-16.05.24 for the trip to Huangshan mountain and nearby Hongcu village. Despite the hotel situated ~3km from the tourist bus stop we find the location one of the big benefits: there is no hustle, loud noises of the cars and hordes of tourists: you can peacefully relax and enjoy quite and slow mornings and evenings. The hotel is beautifully designed? Rooms are spacious and perfectly cleaned. The staff of the hotel is very attentive to all questions, very friendly and polite, even despite we didn't speak Chinese the personal organized our stay perfectly and used WeChat with translations to give online feedback to any requests! Special thanks to Ms. 慧慧 HuiHui she helped organize transfers, morning breakfast for takeaway and tea with delights to our hot springs. Worth to note! This hotel has its own private hot springs, in May temperature in n the evening can go down to ~18C, fresh hot water helps you relax after long busy days and mind can fully rest in the silence of the night. One of the surprises of the stay was free laundry, it is extremely useful after hikes in n the mountains. Hotel restaurant has great breakfast with local farmer's products and freshly ground good coffee from reputable roasters. If you are a tea lover you'll find tea store from farmers just in front of the main gates, in the rooms you'll find local tea and tea set for tea ceremonies 😀. What is more? The dinner is delicious, especially local fishes. If you arrive by the bus to Tangkou the hotel staff can organize a transfer from and to bus station for free. We highly recommend Qinman hotel for everyone!

Its very beautifully articulated ,from the moment we step into the compound , our eyes àre feasting at the beautiful setup at hall , the room , the gardens , terrace , passage way , lightings and everything . Despite being in the heart of thne properous tunxi old street , within the hotel compound its peacefully quiet and serene .

GGuest UserThe rooms are really clean and nice, location is near the waterfall, from which you can hike up to the mountain if you’re a serious hiker. It’s family owned hotel so everything is very authentic. The hosts are very kind and welcoming, helped us a lot with planning and organising the route for our hikes and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
