Lake View Backpackers Hostel & Rooftop Bar

Good hostel, good music and evening events and quizzes! Very social. Clean rooms and good views, worth a visit when you come to Hanoi. Went with 5 friends and they put us all in the same room together which was nice and check in was easy and smooth

Probably one of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed in, mainly due to the extremely rude and unhelpful staff. Cons: - We booked a female dorm and we were put into a mixed dorm without informing us. When we tried to complain, they came up with a million excuses: stating it is definitely a female dorm, then saying it’s too late to change, then saying it was the fault of the volunteer who checked us in, then they are overbooked (the list goes on) instead they could have just admitted they made a mistake with our booking and apologised which they never did. All they could offer was a half price cocktail voucher at the bar. - The manager then tried to make me feel bad by saying I had received noise complaints from our roommates (I was in bed by 11pm the night before and knocked on our door at 8am that morning, I was not making any unreasonable noise at unreasonable hours).When I then tried to apologise to my roommates for said noise, they were so incredibly rude…even the hostel guests are bad vibes. - When we finally changed to a female dorm, the toilet was blocked, 2 girls in my room asked them to fix it and they said to wait 30 minutes and no one ever came to fix it, we were told to use the communal toilets which were also flooded and gross. - FINALLY, the “jacuzzi” on the roof is cold and the water is FILTHY. Pros - There were a lot of breakfast options, however a lot of it was cold, the beds were comfy, good location. All in all, it really ruined my last few days Vietnam.

Excellent location right in the city center, newly renovated rooms offering privacy and great comfort. The breakfast buffet is exceptional, with plenty of variety. The property organizes evening events, making it very convenient for meeting people. The only downside is that there are too few bathrooms for the number of dorm rooms. The rooftop is beautiful.

Amazing!!! Great staff, clean and fun hostel.lots of activities, nice welcoming. You get get advices for the trips and restaurants in the area. In the center of the center but very quiet so you can sleep well . I definitely would come here again

The staff are amazing and very friendly. Offering a 24hr reception desk to support and answer any questions or concerns that come there way. Additionally, the rooms and bathrooms are excellent and extremely clean, which provides guests a comfortable stay. Finally, they offer services and transports to vast locations, that all guests can use and really take advantage of. 10/10 would recommend.

The hostel has a good breakfast, clean rooms and comfortable beds and the rooftop bar has a nice atmosphere. They organize activities like DJ night and karaoke, but the music gets far too loud at night. The stairwell connecting the hallways and rooftop bar is open, so all the sound from the bar travels down into the hallways, meaning we could hear the karaoke very loudly in our room 2 floors down. A party sometimes is no problem but we met fellow travelers who stayed in the neighborhood and couldn’t sleep because of this hostel.
