Hôtel du Parc Hanoï

We stayed for 5 days starting from June 3 - June 7. The hotel is well located within the city and the services provided are excellent. The staff are polite, respectful and helpful. We stayed as part of our leisure trip; however the hotel is comfortable stay for business trip as well as the services provided are to the point. The breakfast buffet is excellent and has Continental, Vietnamese, Japanese and Korean in the spread (Even though we are Indians, we prefer to try the local cuisine and continental when staying overseas. So the food was extremely agreeable for us --- however, if you prefer Indian food, they don't provide that in the buffet spread or menu). Also the food we tried by using the all-day in-room dining services were also good. We tried the cheese cake as we had read great online reviews about it while opting to stay at this hotel and it lived upto our expectations. The spa services provided were also excellent and refreshing. They offer currency exchange services at the reception itself, so you don't have to go to bank or money exchange services for converting USD to VND. The room we stayed in was 825 in the non-smoking floor. It offers city view and is clean and hygienic. The washroom is equipped with automatic bidet toilet; and provides hair dryer and other standard toiletries. The housekeeping is done well. To sum up, it was a pleasant stay for us here and would recommend for this hotel to our acquaintances.

Impressive entrance with a short walk to anything you might want/need in Hanoi. Check-in was a breeze when we arrived mid-afternoon. The lobby on Level 1 and restaurant on level 2 are opulent and well-served with competent and English fluent staff. The room I had was well presented, very clean and well-serviced. Great pillows!! Small, but functional bathroom with a great two-way shower. Money can be exchanged at reception at around market rate. The breakfast on level 2 has something for everyone. Vietnamese, western and excellent pastries. Fresh fruit and a great noodle bar. The wait staff and chefs are expert and can create pretty much anything on request. The room service menu is spartan but reasonably priced and well presented and delivered hot. Pasta, pizza, burgers and (of course) Pho. For those not familiar with Vietnamese coffee, fasten your seatbelt before trying. This beverage will wake the deepest sleeper in seconds. Concierge services are effective and non-intrusive. There is a mini-supermarket about 100 metres from the front door where you can find that razor you forgot amongst other necessities. This hotel is brilliantly located near the lake, which is a great location for a stroll. Within a five minute walk you can find pretty much anything that you can think of. There is a roof top bar and pool on level 10 and, to be honest, this was a little disappointing. The pool works, but the surrounds are a little tired and could do with an upgrade. Not a showstopper by any means. The lifts work, the electricity is 100% available and the wifi is fast and consistent. The laundry service is fast and reasonably priced. If you want to outsource laundry, there are several services available close by for USD$1.50 per kilo. My team of 3 stayed here for 12 days and very much enjoyed the facilities and hospitality. I would stay here again any day of the week!!

Lenid Hotel Tho Nhuom

Hoan Kiem District Hanoi|0.49km from Hanoi Railway Station
The location of the hotel is okay, and the service attitude is okay, but I think it's a bit strange. My colleague arrived at the hotel first and did not provide BOOKING and passport information. The front desk directly called her name and gave her the room card. After we checked in for one night, when we returned to the hotel the next night, the boy at the front desk asked us to have our passports copied. Before having breakfast, I gave my room card to the man at the front desk to check out, and he said it was OK. I said I had ordered laundry service, and he told me to have breakfast first and do the accounting later. Then after breakfast, I went to the front desk, and he told me again. I said, are you sure you don’t have to pay? What did he say to pay? I asked about the money for washing clothes, and he said wait, and then after confirming it again and again, someone took the bill. The hotel is okay overall, but I feel that there are some problems with the internal management. If I am not an honest person, and the front desk told me twice that it was okay, if I did not ask for the cleaning bill any time, then they would not receive the money. . I also asked what to do in that situation? The front desk told me that it was their front desk and customer service responsibility. It would be better if I feel that internal management and training need to be strengthened. The breakfast is average and can be enough to fill you up. It is not particularly rich or not rich. But the taste of the powder is a bit strange and not very delicious. It was okay when I checked in for the first time, but this time it was obviously not as delicious as before. The texture of the noodles and the taste of the soup were both wrong. Hope it improves.

Good location. If you need to travel or work, it will suit your need. The hotel is not big but can provide you enough facilities. The breakfast does not have huge amount of options, but each option is good at quality.

Due to flight delay, we arrived at the hotel after 12 o'clock in the morning. Grab arrived at the hotel door, and the security guard immediately came to help open the door and take the luggage to the hotel counter. The service attitude of the hotel counter staff was also very good. The check-in speed was very fast. The room was of medium size and equipped with supplies. The preparation is thoughtful and considerate, and the rice noodles for breakfast are even better than those sold outside.

The hotel offers a complimentary airport shuttle, which was very convenient. The restaurants nearby were delicious and the hotel also had a great selection of food. The furnishings were modern and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge service was great and they were able to help me with anything I needed. Definitely recommend Mango Hotel to anyone looking for a quality stay in Hanoi.

Ok for 1 night stay as it was near the Hanoi train station. Very convenient to nearby eateries as well. Cleanliness can be improved as stains were found on pillow. Will book through other platforms next time as trip.com offers breakfast option but was not recognised by staff.

Guide for Travelling in Hanoi

Introduction to Hanoi

Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, is a fascinating blend of East and West, combining traditional Sino-Vietnamese motifs with French flair. It is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese, and French influences.

Tips for Travelling to Hanoi

Noi Bai International Airport serves Hanoi and is the largest airport in the country. It's about 45 minutes from the city center. Once in the city, you can navigate using taxis, motorbike taxis, public buses, or by hiring a bicycle or a scooter.

Vietnam’s official currency is the Vietnamese dong (VND), but credit cards are commonly accepted in hotels and restaurants. The Vietnamese language prevails, though English is widely spoken in tourist areas and hotels.

Visa policies vary depending on your nationality, and some travelers may be eligible for visa exemptions for stays less than 15 days. Always check these details before traveling.

Popular Attractions in Hanoi

The Old Quarter is Hanoi's historic heart and commercial hub, showcasing its rich history with well-preserved colonial buildings, ancient pagodas, and vibrant markets.

Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum to delve into Vietnam's past. Don't miss the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first national university with its stunning architecture.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Hanoi experiences a warm humid subtropical climate with plenty of rainfall. The best times to visit are spring (February-April) and autumn (October-December) when temperatures are milder. Summer can be hot and humid, while winter is cool and dry. Depending on the season, pack suitable clothing for your comfort.

Choosing Your Ideal Hotel in Hanoi

For a luxury stay near attractions, consider the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, a grand colonial building in the French Quarter. Budget travelers might find the Hanoi Serene Centre Hotel & Spa or the Hanoi Brilliant Hotel and Spa appealing for their great locations and affordability.

The Oriental Jade Hotel provides an excellent blend of comfort and style, making it an Instagram-friendly choice with its rooftop swimming pool offering views of the Hoan Kiem Lake.
