Simon was exceptional! Brought us around in a boat helped us take stunning photos and was just in every way possible made our stay superb! Would highly recommend a stay here. Worth every penny. Very therapeutic and authentic Chinese experience (and given it’s the only 1 of 1 resort with a private lake and 40000sqm of space) it’s definitely worth an experience.

Lovely hotel in the middle of West Creek/ Xixi National Wetlands Park in Hangzhou. The hotel and service offerings are excellent, located in a very secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle, great for relaxation and enjoying the serene and tranquil surroundings. There is a small lake in the middle of the hotel, which I understand is owned and managed by the hotel. The views are wonderful and better than going to the famed West Lake (way too touristy and crowded). I think this hotel has a lot going for it, even though it’s not a known brand. I would say some things for improvement are as follows: Must, must open a spa. AmanFayun, Banyan Tree, Anh Luh and Four Seasons all have spa’s and they’re at roughly the same price point. This wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but for some people this would put them off from booking here. Gym. This place needs an on-site gym for obsessed exercise freaks like me (and other health obsessives that want to go to an all-inclusive resort). Also, with the yummy high calorie food offerings in the restaurant, I would like to work those calories off and not worry about getting home fatter than when I left! Restaurant – Excellent service from the wonderful manager, who I forgot to ask her name and all her staff. Very good manners from all the staff, very quiet voices, barely can hear them speak amongst themselves. However there needs to be more of an international offering for people that visit from outside China (US/ Europe, India/ South East Asia/ Gulf countries, who all would probably stay here in the future). There should be another restaurant that offers international fayre, as well as the traditional Chinese restaurant, so both sets of visitors are catered for, and more choice is always good for people that stay longer than 3 days. And vegetarian/ vegan options would be very appreciated. The “Savoir resort” is not mentioned on Didi maps or on Baidu maps, and the Chinese name bears absolutely no resemblance to the English name 杭州所见 – 西溪度假酒店. Foreign people may have problems finding this location on their maps/ getting here without help (the less help that is required, the better). The two top-end rooms (6999 yuan a night and 15,000 yuan a night) cannot be booked on 携程 （Ctrip） or Trip.com. I think there should be 5 – 10 pictures on the site showing these rooms as bookable. I take a long time researching a hotel before booking, so the more information available, the better. The boat trip in the hotel is way better than the boat trip offered outside the hotel. I really enjoyed it, but I don’t think many people use it, which is a shame of a great resource. The fact this hotel has its own private lake is something that makes it stand out from the other hotels. The hotel is great is a must to go if you want a place to relax in Hangzhou, a recommendation in regards of the service is that maybe waitresses don't need to be so pushy when you are ordering at the restaurant and the minibar can have a bottle of wine or some beers, aside from that the hotel is great!!

poor toilet design. the toilet has bad ventilation and the drainage can be easily blocked. the shower door and floor is also poorly finished and water will easily overflow to outside.

What a great discovery this place was! Comparable with brands such as Aman, Banyan Tree and Ahn Luh. As you enter the property over a causeway, through a pond of lily pads, you will view the traditional architecture of the lobby house and know you have arrived somewhere special. As you progress through the hotel you will find a beautiful infinity pool, overlooking the wetland. This is adjoined to a library, where a variety of cultural activities such as incense making and tea craft are offered each day. Across from the pool is the hotel’s restaurant. Where breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed , whilst taking in more views of the wetlands natural beauty. The room itself was beautifully appointed, with modern facilities including a Dyson hairdryer and a refrigerator stocked with numerous beverages, that were all complimentary. Before departing Shanghai, I received a call from Felipe, who provided me with an excellent butler service throughout my stay. She confirmed my arrival time and offered to help with any transfers. Once I arrived, Felipe and Ethan from front desk showed me around the property and introduced the room and its facilities thoroughly. Felipe added my WeChat and would be available for me anytime I needed. Whilst at the pool, I asked Felipe whether I could order some snacks. Not only did she have them delivered quickly, but also confirmed whether they had arrived. That was very kind and thoughtful of her. The following day, I asked Felipe for ideas of things to do that do after breakfast. As soon as I took my last sip of coffee, a boat was waiting for me. The captain of the boat was Simon, one of the hotel’s managers and a former Aman employee. Felipe and Simon gave me a boat tour around the property, followed by a personal and complimentary tour of the village, where I was bought some local persimmons. It was the aesthetic of a luxury, Jiangnan style hotel that initially attracted me. However, it was the warm, heartfelt service that made this trip so enjoyable. If there was anything that could be improved, I would suggest widening the dining options, supplying English menus and improving table watching in the restaurant. Parents should also be aware that the pool is quite deep and they need to accompany their children at all times. That being said, Savoir is a wonderful hotel with amazing service and the perfect destination for a few days rest from the noisy and busy outside world.

I also accidentally learned about this treasure hotel and booked a room immediately. After playing rafting during the day, I came to the hotel in a hurry and exhausted. After checking in, the experience was very good and the fatigue was reduced by half. First of all, the environment is very good, with small bridges and flowing water, and the scenery is very good. There are scenery everywhere. We brought a Hanfu for the children and took photos, which was very colorful. We lived in a small courtyard, which was very warm as soon as we entered the door. The second is that the configuration is good. The bed in the room is clean and tidy, the hair dryer is still Dyson, and the bathtub is also thoughtfully equipped with a disposable bath bag. Third, the service is particularly good. When I checked in, I helped to carry my luggage upstairs. When I checked out, I saw it on the road and helped to take the luggage and sent it to the car. When I ordered takeout in the evening, I also helped to take it at the door and sent it to the small courtyard. The most thoughtful thing is that we checked in after rafting, so there are a lot of wet clothes. After washing, they were hung on the trees in the yard. The hotel staff observed this during the night bed service and quietly put a floor-standing clothes drying rack in the yard. I was so moved when I saw it when I returned from dinner. Fourth, the breakfast is very rich and exquisite. The staple food is selected when checking in and served directly when dining this morning. Other fruits, snacks and drinks are very rich and sufficient on the dining table. In short, I was very satisfied with what I saw when I checked in, and my children kept saying that they would stay here again next time they come to Hangzhou.

I stayed at Suojian Hotel with my kids in the 38-degree hot weather. This hotel is hidden in the Xixi Scenic Area. It is very private and has its own unique world. Every step brings a different view and winding paths lead to secluded places. Seeing that I was staying with my parents and children, the hotel thoughtfully upgraded the room. All rooms here have a small courtyard facing the water. If the weather is not so hot, you can spend half a day in the courtyard with a pot of tea and a book. The hotel manager Simon told us that there is a cute little rabbit on the island in the middle of the lake next to the breakfast room, and took the children across the stone bridge to see it. It would be even better if there were more parent-child facilities.

This is my first time to write a review for a hotel. I am very satisfied with all aspects of this hotel, especially the service. All the hotel staff I met were very friendly. I feel that this is the best hotel service I have ever stayed in. There are not many guests in the hotel, so the privacy is also very good. The front desk is very enthusiastic and recommended a lot of nearby food and places to play. I am very satisfied with this stay and will visit it again.

The front desk lady was very gentle, and the housekeeper was also very enthusiastic! The environment is good, the hygiene in the room is also very good, and the scenery is beautiful.

It was a very enjoyable experience. In terms of style, if the West Lake State Guesthouse is a lady from a noble family, then the Xixi I saw is a beautiful girl from a small family. The room with its own lakeside balcony and surrounded by a small forest is very stunning. There was even a kitten that came unexpectedly to feed. The experience was extremely comfortable and worth the price. Simon's warm service made people feel meticulous care. It was a perfect stay experience

The room was clean and tidy, and they upgraded it for me for free. The scenery is very beautiful, especially the lotus flowers. You can walk around the hotel and see birds, squirrels, ducks, cats, and all kinds of small animals.

The hotel is located in a corner of Xixi. The whole homestay is antique and the scenery is quiet and beautiful. I experienced travel photography in the hotel, which is also quite good.

Xixi is a good place to stay. I have been there many times and will come back again because of what I have seen. The duplex room I stayed in was clean and tidy. The room was 23 degrees and there were no mosquitoes. I petted the little rabbit, had a delicious breakfast, took free travel photos, and took the hotel parking lot to eat Xiyin. Everything was beautiful.

The environment of the hotel, including the location of the room, is very good and quiet. You will reach the front desk after walking through a wooden corridor by the lake. After checking in, you will bypass the front desk, walk up a stone staircase, pass through the stone corridor surrounded by vines, and pass through the small Chinese-style hall to the room. It has a very Jiangnan water town atmosphere. The room is also very large, with a living room with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides and a courtyard. In terms of service, because it is not close to the entrance of Xixi Wetland, there are cars to pick up and drop off in and out, and they also contacted by phone the day before to provide warm reminders. The restaurant service is also very enthusiastic. Because it is not large, we order in advance. If there are more varieties, especially some special foods, the experience will be better. In addition, although the mini bar is free to drink, it was not fully replenished the next day. In terms of facilities, some are still old and poorly maintained, the air conditioner is noisy, and the two buttons of the smart toilet are broken.
