We just got back from a delicious weekend at the Norden Palace, a good hotel 10 minutes from the centre of Aosta. I suppose I stayed via Smartbox and, immediately, I found gentleness and availability. I made special requests for personal needs and not only have all been heard, but I have had more than I had asked. The hotel has a beautiful elegant and well-treated hall, and I have to say that I have only seen the seventh floor and found a spacious room with a clean bathroom and a beautiful view. But here the difference is made by people: all the staff are kind, but Mrs Brunella is more: her excellent courtesy and attention he has really hit us. Thank you for allowing us to spend three quiet days.

This is such a lovely apartment in a wonderful town. The hostess is great and went out of her way for us. I normally don't write reviews about places I've liked for fear that they become so popular that they become booked out and I won't be able to stay there again! Location is great in the old town - there must be 50 restaurants all within easy walking of the apartment. Gondola for Pila skiing is 10 minutes. There are lockers at the bottom. 6 day pass gives you 2 days in other Aosta ski resorts. We went to Courmayeur and La Thuile. I was surprised at how good the skiing was in Pila.

Very cost-effective

Hotel Miage is near the A5 motorway exit, 500 metres from the Pila cable car station. Rooms offer satellite TV and a private balcony overlooking the mountains. The restaurant is open at both lunch and dinner and serves regional dishes. The Miage is one kilometre from the centre of Aosta. Parking is free at the hotel.

We were moved from the Hotel Omama. In some ways this was an upgrade. Better location, better breakfast available. However we had booked a large quadruple room for 3 people with two toilets and we were squeezed into one double room with an extra bed. It was very cramped. Not really suitable for 3 people when we had booked a much larger space. However the parking was handy, it was a great base in the city centre and the breakfast was really good. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. They are lovely. Really friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Especially the breakfast staff in the patisseries. Overall had a great stay. Would stay again.
