We stayed at Osman Bay Hotel for 4 nights this month. It is family run hotel in the center of Göreme with pleasant hosts. Mr. Kadir and his family tried to make as comfortable as he can. The food in the restorant (we hade breakfast and dinner) was homemade from his wife and it was so delicious. It was like she cooks for her own family. The rooms look authentic for the region and the rooms in the rocks are cave like. There is free wifi in the rooms all the time. Also, on the top of the hotel there is wonderful balcony as a viewpoint. Definitely recommended.

Stayed here for 3 nights with family. We had a wonderful time. It’s a family run boutique hotel and they made you feel part of their family. They helped arrange tours for us during our stay which were simple great! Location wise, it’s near the center and restaurants were just a stones throw away. Highly recommended and would definitely return again!

The view of the balloons in the morning was beautiful from the roof terrace restaurant. The breakfast was the best yet, with many selections which changed each morning. Staff were helpful in arranging tours around the area and beyond. They've just opened another hotel nearby (Noah's Arc) that is even nicer.

Great wee family run hotel right in the Center of goreme we arrived late due to a delay with our flight from Istanbul & a car hire issue, but we were greeted with a warm welcome & were given a lovely room, the weather wasn’t great so our balloon trip was cancelled for the following morning, but on the upside we had a longer lie the next day. The guys tried to book it for the following day for us, but the forecast want great then either, breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast, but rather than plated there was a buffet with everything you needed including eggs to order Breakfast is on the roof so you get a great panorama of the town & an idea of what to rock formations you expect to see in the surrounding area. It’s only about a mile from the open air museum which gives you a real insight to the area & how the rock formations have been used by people over the centuries

This was our first trip to Cappadocia and Osman Bey was a great little find. It is a small, quite clean, few frills, 10 room hotel managed and well run by Kadir and his family. They are all so friendly (even the hotel pup, Pablo) and helpful. The room was nice, with a cave like atmosphere...Osman Bey is not truly a cave hotel, but is built in that style. We expected a queen room, but because of a booking glitch received a room with two singles. Kadir would gladly have switched it, but the hotel was fully booked. Not a real issue for us. The bath and shower were on the small side, but more than adequate to meet our needs. I will also note that there were some tricky, nearly invisible steps leading our of the courtyard and into the room. It would be a great improvement just to mark these step with a different color tape or reflective ***** to prevent the tripping that occurred numerous times on our visit. My only negative (it's not really negative, just an observation)...there is only Turkish television available. I acknowledge this is truly a "first world" suggestion, but it would be nice, if amongst the gadzillion channels available on the cable TV, at least one could be in English, so you can get news from home. The hotel is in the heart of the city and conveniently within walking distance to everything. Breakfast was included and was a typical Turkish breakfast fare of eggs, meat cheeses, olives salads, fresh fruit, bread and buns, fresh squeezed juices, milk, water and of course Turkish tea and coffee. The breakfast was deliciously prepared by solely by one woman, who greeted us with a welcome and smile every morning at 8:30 am. On our last morning, our departure time was before breakfast began, so Kadir graciously arranged for breakfast to start 45 minutes earlier just for us. The hotel has a symbiotic relationship with Angelo's Travel right next door. Kadir was just amazing with all the concierge work he did for us before and after our arrival. He arranged everything ( private car and guide day tour, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, and a trip to the Salt Lake. Ilkay was our tour guide for our day trip of the valleys, open air museums, and fairy chimneys. She was very knowledgeable, personable, and her English excellent. The only recommendation on this tour would be, if you're having lunch, skip the restaurant buffet, even though it's fast, it is quite pricey for the value and quality. Our driver, Osman, was such a gentleman. His experience as a Turkish Police Officer, traffic division, was well represented in his driving skill and attention to our comfort and safety. He was also the driver for our trip to the Salt Lake and made our time there so much fun when he doubled as our photographer and had us shooting hilarious photos and videos. The only disclaimer about the Salt Lake trip, is be prepared to get dirty. Only in the summer is the lake a dry pink salt flat. In the Spring, the salt is only present a few me

Stayed for the first time and I think customer service needs some improvement! Hotel is right in the middle of everything within walking distance. Most of the employees speaks decent English which is a big plus point. You can book pretty much everything from this hotel. Keep in mind that some reservations may be expensive to book through this hotel so do your research if you can. Breakfast was included in our reservation and it was alright and nothing fancy. For the room, we had booked a cave room. They should put clearly on the details that none of these cave rooms comes with any heater or AC. Yes, you read that right - No AC or heater. Unfortunately this important detail is not there when you book it. The idea is that cave does remain cool during summer and warm during winter by nature. I stayed during summer and room was about 70 F/21 C degrees by itself. I am not sure how warm it is inside the cave during winter. Inside the room, it comes with two small trash cans. Definitely needs a bigger trash can for the size of the room. Their internet was also patchy and not good. You have to find a right spot for the internet to work. The main thing that I did not like when it comes to good customer service was when we entered our room there were 3 main lights that did not work. Why was room not checked before given to us? Every room should be checked after guest check out and before given it to someone else. Of course this was not happened in our case. Now when I complained about it I was told it will be taken care of the next day. I came in the night of the next day and it was still not fixed. I was going to check out the next day so I didn't make any big deal about it. When asked about the issue during check out, I was only then told that some major fix is required to resolve the issue. Again, why was I not updated? I am not sure but this is a poor customer service in my opinion. Regarding the tour, we booked it through the hotel. What we were not told is the amount of time we would spent at each place. It turned out that some of the places we only spent 15 minutes! I didn't like this because I definitely wanted to stay more than what was enforced to us. Please make sure to clarify about this specially if you want to spend time at certain places.
