Intercontinental Fuzhou is the best. As my wife got pregnant, we decided to celebrate 🥳. We chose intercontinental. The experience was fabulous. We really enjoyed our weekend here 100%. As we arrived to the hotel we went through check in process with Mr Leo, a very humble, gentle and professional man. Surprisingly he upgraded our room to suite room on the 28th floor 😃. It was a very fancy one really. Thanks to Mr Leo and his colleague at the front desk, the room service ( was super) and hostesses at the restaurant. All were there for us. Much love and respect. This hotel is really a great value for money! I am very pleased that I chose this hotel. All staff at the hotel tries very hard to satisfy the customers. I can see that most staff is well trained by the hotel's management. Despite being an older hotel, everything is well maintained. I will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Fuzhou. Management, great hotel, great job ! Just to offer a comment for further improvement: I don't know why the restaurant staff doesn't seem to have a habit of collecting empty dishes during a buffet to the extent that table-top space gets very crowded. A number of times, there were waiters/waitresses standing next to my table. Although they were not busy, they still did not remove my stacking empty dishes. The staff does not seem to be lazy people. Perhaps they have not been instructed to do so. This is an unusual practice for a good hotel.

Starway is really in an ideal location. Metro and bus stop right at doorstep. Check in and out is fast. Reception staff are nice and helpful. Cleaning ladies are also very helpful. Room is clean. Plenty of eateries around hotel. Most of the tourist attractions are within walking distance of hotel. As our check out was very early around 6.45 am, breakfast was yet to start, reception staff was so nice to give us milk and bun to take with us. Greatly appreciated. Will definitely stay here on my next visit.

Forgive my photo skills, this Manxin Hotel is the best Huazhu hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is superb, just near Sanfang Qixiang, about ten minutes walk, you can visit the surrounding scenic spots. Because it is located in the city center, it is also super close to Metro Line 1. There is a milk tea shop downstairs and a small supermarket next to it, which is very convenient. The room is really small, after all, the location is inch of land and gold. But the room is fully equipped, the bedding is clean, and the shower is great. The bath is a fragrance series, which is one of the reasons I chose here. Because of Trip.com members, I enjoyed afternoon tea and welcome fruit with points. The next day I also sent fruit, there were small gifts (food and beverages) to the store and check out, and all drinks in the refrigerator were free. The front desk service smiled and greeted us every day, and the room eldest sister enthusiastically helped us make up the mineral water every day. The hotel looks better on the pictures than in reality. We booked a room in the Minguo courtyard to experience the Republic of China extension but instead we were put in a more recent and not charming building. Hotel staff didn’t speak English so we didn’t try asking for the room in the courtyard that we booked as changing rooms would mean climbing down 4 floors with our luggage and waste time explaining with translator app. Room was small, enough for a night or if you don’t want to spend time at the hotel. Mattress was pretty hard. Shower and towels not perfectly clean. One can tell that the towels are quite old. There was no breakfast and no possibility to add it despite a large room available for it. There is also space to have tea but no one was working there. Front part and first 2 courtyards of the hotel look nice. Staff was polite. Our luggages were carried up. Location is good in the touristic rebuilt-ancient neighborhood. Convenient for a night but will not go again.
