Lovely little place with lovely friendly staff and clean beautiful room with easy access and car parking available really cheaply to leave there whilst you holiday abroad and only 4 miles from the Bristol airport... Jackpot I'd say. Thanks for the welcome 😁 🤗

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, great food! I enjoyed a beer in the sunshine and then had a wonderful meal in the bar. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Food and drink good value for money in my opinion. Good selection on the menu to cater for most tastes I would say.

Fantastic Roast ! Cosy Pub and Log fire to add to overall experience as well as a good range of drinks. Very friendly staff and plenty of parking available. Will definitely be returning again !! 👏🏼

A very well organised stop over for an early morning flight from Bristol. Couldn't fault the accommodation in any way and started our holiday in the right frame of mind. Had food in the pub, mine was a very well cooked fish and chips washed down with a couple of pints of lager and black (be rude not to!). Staff encountered were professional and friendly and the ambiance of the building was relaxed and pleasant, with locals enjoying a few pints at the bar adding to the atmosphere. The provision of breakfast porridge etc in the room was a nice touch and much appreciated as had to leave early for an airport check in.

As frequent travellers we often find ourselves flying early morning from Bristol Airport and have on several occasions stayed at the George and Dragon at Felton. Unfortunately for them we won’t be staying there again. Previously our stays had been uneventful and the food actually quite good however, not this time. But it wasn’t the food that was the issue but more the way that the manager dealt with the problem. After ordering a large 10oz Gammon and chips what arrived was no bigger than the palm of my hand and the majority of this was fat. The meat was overcooked and tasteless. I spoke politely to the bar staff and ask if she could deal with the meal. I was then visited by a very young waiter who said it would take 20 minutes to provide more food and the manager wanted to know did I really want a new one. I agreed this was too long to wait as my partner was already well through his meal. I said I would eat the chips and veg but when the bill arrived I was charge full price for the meal. I asked the bar staff to take off the bill and she offered me a “couple of pounds” discount. I asked for the meal to be removed and after consulting the manager who hid in the kitchen I was told the most they would offer was £10 off leaving me to pay £5.95 for a spoonful of peas and a handful of chips. Shockingly short sighted and cowardly that the manager sent junior staff to deal with the issue. For the sake of £5.95 we will no long stay which means they lose out on over £600 per year. Bad customer service leaves a worse taste in the mouth than badly cooked gammon.

4 out of 5 for us, used as an airport stay as we had an early flight the very next morning. Rooms are showing age a little bit kept clean and tidy. Only around 5 rooms available from what I could see, so thought it would be quite quiet. Creaking floor boards from above, rooms are close to rear entrance from the car park so people passing rooms on arrival. On the plus side rooms are very cheap and very convenient to the airport only 5 minutes drive. Beds we very clean and comfortable. The pub was fantastic and had a great feel to it, food was also amazing. We were made to feel very welcome.

Booked this hotel in December for a night stay before an early flight. Arrived in the evening. Room was ready with an easy check in. Perfect distance to airport. Airport parking available - would definitely park here next time. Lovely clean rooms with light breakfast provided. Only criticisms were creaking floor boards but didn’t ruin sleep; and only one pillow each. Overall, lovely stay. Thank you.

Polite, helpful, friendly staff. Stumbled upon this Lovely old fashioned pub, by accident. Plenty of character, lots of “cosy” rooms & quite quirky. (Paintings, woodwork for sale etc,,) very clean & tidy. Food & drink choices quite varied (& husband over the moon that they stocked his favourite cider….Natch) no problem choosing what we wanted to eat (even veggie options) well priced, served quickly, well presented & most importantly, delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

First visit, Had Sunday lunch and it was perfect very tasty. Fresh vegetables and home made Yorkshire puddings and gravy which was very tasty. Stayed over night as well ready for flight from Bristol. Clean comfy room lovely staff well worth a visit and night away.
