Amazing service at first arrival the doors were opened and I was greeted with very friendly staff who treated me with the utmost respect. The food was delicious as far as fine dining goes. The steak order was mixed up however we were given a new steak and complimentary drinks which was a nice gesture for a small mistake. We had massages and they were the best massages I have ever had in my life. We were given a tour of all the facilities and I really enjoyed my experience overall.

The Merrion is a Hallmark of service and sheer quality. We arrived to be greeted by a friendly concierge and the news that our room had been upgraded to a junior suite. Lunch in the Cellar bar was an absolute joy and friendly, well clued in staff made the experience more special. The room was fabulous, with every comfort you could imagine. The bed was so comfortable, as were the couches.I cannot speak too highly about the service at this wonderful hotel.

The hotel is good, to the customer, but I don't know why, the hotel will buckle my credit card for two euros, which is equivalent to four or five thousand yuan! Ctrip said that he couldn't find it, and he couldn't find it if he contacted the hotel! So it has not been solved until now! Ctrip service attitude is good, but it can't solve the problem! And Ctrip gave me the reason to create all kinds of illusory, I still have screenshots! Really can't just see the court!

Trinity City Hotel is excellently located in the heart of Dublin, so for that I give it 5 stars. It has a fancy, almost glitzy lobby, and the staff are nice. But there was a problem that was difficult to overcome. The duvet (the bed cover) was oversized and bulky and made it too hot to sleep. And the pillows were fat as pigs. I tried (had to call front desk four different times within a six hour period) to get a lightweight cover of some sort and a flatter pillow, without any success. I tried to cool down the room by opening the window but it was ”fixed” so that I could only open it about three inches (to prevent people jumping out, I suppose). In the end I just stripped off the duvet cover (essentially the thickness of two bedsheets) and used that to cover me. For such a nice hotel, you'd think they'd be able to accommodate people who don't want to roast in the duvet or sleep at a 45 degree angle with the fat pillows. I hope someone in the hotel management sees this and they buy some lightweight blankets and some normal sized pillows.

We arrived to check in at agreed time and had to wait 2.5 hours for our room. We weren't the only ones. The day after our arrival the same thing happened, a lobby full of disgruntled guests waiting for their rooms. As a consequence we missed the first thing we had planned for our stay in Dublin because we couldn't get in to our room to get showered and changed. The room was very clean and comfortable but unfortunately one of the double mattresses had a dip in it and was uncomfortable unless we used pillows to make it level. We were in Dublin to celebrate my 50th birthday and my ftiend had arranged for a bottle of fizz to be on the room on arrival. This had been forgotten in the rush of getting rooms ready and my friend had to remond them. She had paid for this online but the hotel tried to charge her for this again on departure. The hotel brasserie was bright and attractive and the Irish liqueur coffees were wonderful. The hotel is fabulously located and has so much potential. It just isn't OK at the moment. Hopefully this will improve. Having said all of this - I would give the hotel another chance if I returned to Dublin. We all have our off days.

It's very atmospheric and it's a great place to make new friends on your travels. It's amazing decorated and their bar/dining area is incredible. Breakfast is served and you're offered a good variety to choose from. The rooms, or pods, are clean, well-maintained and the bathrooms are neat. You're afforded privacy in a modern fashion.

Hotel is in a central location , unfortunately that’s where it finishes, male when checking in needs to learn some manners, our room was basic but clean , breakfast was just ok for €25,found the staff extremely unhelpful had to interrupt their conversation in their own language , for the basics like butter and milk and on both occasions we were told where to find it while sitting at our table, they weren’t busy as there was only ourselves in restaurant at the time. The hotel lobby is like a waiting room, no tables to leave scalding hot tea on, the bar closed abruptly, everyone was told by the barman to leave immediately with drinks to the lobby where he thought , we were all going to fit still amazes me , a little heads up that the bar closes early and we wouldn’t have rushed back, anyone attending any shows or concerts chill elsewhere! Lastly, you get a car park reduction if, YOU ASK at check out ,for either of the 2 car parks close by. Irish Life being one!

Having never been to Dublin before, I picked the Gardiner Lodge without much to go on. Happily, I made the right decision. In fact, I feel like I hit the jackpot. I have been here for almost a week and I have had nothing but the most positive experiences. The people at the desk are supremely knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and helpful. The kitchen staff serves up a wonderful breakfast every morning under the natural light in the solarium/dining room. For those mornings when I could not wait until 8am (at which point the Irish breakfasts begin to appear), a continental buffet has been waiting for me at 7am. The rooms must surely have been remodeled recently; mine looks and feels brand new. The Gardiner is perfectly located for my purposes, just above the corner of Gardiner and Talbot. Two wonderful (and very different) pubs--the Celt (with Irish music) and Grainger's (with peace and quiet)--are within a stone's throw on Talbot. There is espresso to be had on the intersection itself. Gardiner Street is busy with traffic, but no street noise ever reached my room (#16); only the sound of the occasional seagull. Dublin north of the river is not as ”well-heeled” as Dublin south of the river, and that's exactly the way I like it. Talbot is a wonderfully unassuming street with a pleasing mix of restaurants, formal and informal. Bottom line: I will come back to the Gardiner Lodge the next time I am here.
