It was my first to Qatar, really it was very nice stay, the hotel looks great, food is delicious, cleaning is good, hotel staff hospitality is very good specially Ms Norie in the FO desk she was very helpful and smiling all the time, she went above and beyond to meet my expectations, she's a real example of the professional receptionist

The hotel is centrally located to tourist spots and the metro gold line. All of the staff were so helpful, accommodating and ready to help with a friendly smile. We felt very welcomed as soon as we checked-in and were offered a welcome coffee at the front desk. Staff members like Basit and Tara were always there to make our stay a pleasant experience. The hotel is right across the street from the Souq Waqif and it is accessible from an underground walkway in front of the hotel courtyard. The same walkway is connected to the metro gold line. The metro is very convenient as it is connected to many tourist spots throughout Doha. The front desk is operated all day and night, so it was very helpful as we had an early flight out of Doha. The check-out process was quick and efficient, and the staff helped us with transportation and luggage to the airport.

There was enough at that time whether repair or construction works were on the island. The cars occupied in the process were constantly driving. While the tracks are narrow enough, it was tense, TK cannot walk quietly - constantly forced to look around, which is uncomfortable especially with the child. And not very clean in restaurants, we understood that it was the Qatar issue. To get your dishes removed from the table, you need to ask. Under the tables can be handkerchiefs, covers, crumbs, etc. That certainly does not fit 5 stars. But the hotel staff is very responsive not all requests, perhaps at their expense and remains a good impression about the hotel. The hotel itself, by the way, is not new, needs to be ready for it. We would like to thank the chef who cooked the cash and other dishes on request for the daughter, which was important for us against the background of a fairly uniform menu. By the way, about that. There is a feeling that the hotel is locked up on guests coming to 1-2-3 day, food everywhere is very uniform, for breakfast every day the same. Travelled with kids to Doha, we really enjoyed staying in this property for 16 nights. Beautiful and clean hotel with wonderful swimming pool and sport facilities. Very spacious rooms with amazing kitchen. The breakfast was good amd lots variety. The club lounge was very nice and great selections of food and drinks. The staff is the best all of them, they do everything to make your stay comfortable and happy. Special thanks to the hotel front desk managers both Mr Ali & Ali (you both made our stay great) much appreciated. Also Gagan from the front desk and Noufal and all his lovely & friendly colleagues at the main entrance (you guys were the best). Will definitely come back again next visit to Doha.

This was a good place close to a lot of stuff downtown. They have a pool and exercise room and their rooms were cool and quiet and fairly large. The receptionist and staff were also kind.

A really good option of hotel near to the airport, 15 minutes by taxi. A 5-star comfortable and modern hotel. I liked the room, the bathroom is enormous and the bed very cozy. All that you need is in your hand! That’s perfect! The service room is 24hrs and was very good, fast the way that we were expecting. And the food, delicious. Was needed and worth! Speaking about food, the breakfast is very good as well, plenty of options. All the staff are really kind, enjoyable people and always ready to help. It’s nice to say that you can find a subway station near to the hotel, it’s a good option for you to move in the city. I spent just one night but I hope to be back soon!

I had an 8 hour layover in Doha. I had booked the room in advance so I knew I would have it available when I arrived. For an airside hotel in particular, the Oryx is very comfortable and does exactly what most connecting travelers will need it to do. The room can be made completely dark. The bed is comfortable. The shower is a luxury huge rain shower with a full complement of toiletries. The TV displays the current flight board so you can see the status and gate for your flight any time you want. It was centrally located and should be convenient to any connection. Things that could be improved: Signage. There are no signs for this hotel in the terminal and the entrance is obscured. I had to ask for directions from a retail employee at one of the shops. Minibar: There is bottled water in the room but no mini-bar. A mini bar would be very useful for connecting travelers who just need a beverage and a snack and want to maximize sleep time without having to shop for food in the terminal or wait for room service.

OK, so based on reviews etc decided to stay here even though I am a Marriott Bonvoy loyalty member. Arrived at 6am and was not expecting a room for early check-in but if you don't ask then you will not know. Walked up to checkin counter, no greeting what so ever. Asked if it was possible to checkin early and he said no and that they are totally full. No occupancy left. I said OK fair enough. I said I wanted to pay for breakfast for 2 adults for 6 nights so wanted to go eat breakfast at that time. They said it would be 150 QAR each per day. I said I had an email from the reservations team that it was 115. They said no that was wrong and not sure why reservations would say that. Asked to speak with manager who arrived promptly. Told him that I was told to checkin later at 2pm but wanted to clarify breakfast costs. He told me to sort breakfast costs out direct with restaurant but he said he can give me a room straight away at 6am (even though it was an upgraded room which I know it was not). So for a hotel that was at full capacity that now had rooms available was appreciated. Went to room, left luggage then headed to breakfast to pay for 2 adults. Lady there said it was 150 per couple! So now, 3 different prices but as I got it at the cheapest version I went with that, LOL. OK, so the breaskfast is crap. Cold food sorry to say but really a breakfast spread...more just cold stuff, continental....and you can get eggs/waffles, avocado/toast. Bakes beans cold, halloumi cold, mushrooms on one day stone cold. Me and my wife were vegetarian (no egg either) so limited in options. The managers Anuj and specially Reda did pull it out of the bag and got us hash browns and parathas when we asked but not sure why these sort of options have to be requested. Normally, what you pay is what you get but at 115 each (around £25 each the breakfast is crap). It was only because Expedia was going to re-imburse me that we went for breakfast, otherwise we would have gone to the vegan cafes opposite - Mylk or EverGreens). The rooms, nothing special. Clean but weighing scales not working, TV channels crap and water leaking from shower area into bathroom area so had to block it off with a towel. Location is OK...opposite a good shopping mall, but to be honest I would just pay a little more and stay at the Marriott which is linked to the Mall. Now this is where the pain was. Whenever we wanted to leave the hotel and go to the Gate Mall next door we would have to get off at floor 2, walk across the lobby to catch another lift to get to the ground floor. Our key card did not allow us to go all the way down to the ground floor from our room floor. Security told me to get access from the reception. I asked Mohammed at reception if I could get that and he said that option was only available for long stay guests and because we were there for ONLY 6 nights it would not be possible to arrange that. I told him that was useless and he could not care less
