The hotel is very close to the Great Stupa, a few minutes walk. The environment is very good, and the restaurant downstairs is very good. The waiters are very friendly, but the English is too complicated to communicate. Helping to call a taxi usually requires a quick reply and a good attitude. The price/performance ratio is still very high, and the sleep is very solid.

The hotel is in the lane, not too easy to find, but very quiet. The quilt looked unwashed and was of poor quality. Tickets for this hotel are not cheap. Because we had to leave early, the front desk prepared a packed breakfast for us. Each person had two cold eggs and two slices of cold bread. Hotel WIFI is poor.

Great Location as the hotel is just a few mins walk outside the airport , especially after a late night flight. No need to go through all the hassle of waiting for taxis. Rooms were excellent, very clean, spacious and great amenities, you can also access youtube and other channels through the hotel TV. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, they provided a great variety of dishes. Everything was great, but the price was a bit too high considering and comparing other hotels in Nepal. The room i booked cost a total of around 110usd per night and i think i can book a 5 star hotel with way better facilities and services with the same amount of money. Other than that, the hotel was great, the biggest plus is the location. Will definitely book again but a cheaper room.

My 6-day stay was overall good. Friendly staff with a beautiful garden. The location seems handy, near the central zoo. Around the place, there are so many nice cafes, restaurants, fruit shops. Initially, I’d like to thank Tashi for her helpful tips and welcoming warmth, which made my journey easier and more relaxing. Also, Tashi is the best sales person I’ve met innNepal, she picked up my call at late night time and made an instant arrangement for my stay. So much appreciated! Thanks Tashi. We had several conversations about cultural exchanges. Brilliant experience! Drawbacks: 1. the old Nepali apartment slightly smells, probably resulting from the rainy season. 2. The rate is a bit overpriced, but fortunately I got a free upgrade. 3. The shower facility looks a bit too old in the room, so the hot water came inconsistently with a relatively small volume. I am beyond diligent when it comes to doing my homework as far as where to stay during my travels. And making the choice to stay at the Vastu was absolutely the best decision I could have made for accommodations in busy Kathmandu. Why stay here? Too many reasons to mention. In brief... * The staff is EXEMPLARY. Ashish, Basin and Sujana are all outstanding. Whatever I needed, they tended to me as one of their family, including walking me to stores I needed to find. * The rooms (15 of them) are spotless and comfy. * They're located at the end of a street that does not get through traffic. Such a blessing in this cacophonous city. Whenever I return to Kathmandu, this will ALWAYS be my home away from home.
